They really know what they are doing and the massages help me sleep better and go a long way to alleviate my stress and tension in my body. They are very responsive on the phone and it's best to call ahead to book an appointment. The prices are extremely reasonable for the skilled massage you get and the facilities have always been sanitary and orderly. The heating pads on the massage tables are welcome now that the weather is much colder. They also do gua sha and cupping here which are bonus services for additional stress relief. It's a small spa so thankfully they were able to accommodate us, but I'd suggest making a reservation if you can. If you are in search of a posh spa, this will probably not meet your requirements. I did not get lucky at Lucky Foot Spa. Instead I got a terrible rash on both arms and a sore back from a masseuse that could not give me a relaxing, Swedish massage even after that is what I paid for and after she repeatedly admitted she was probably applying too much pressure. It has now been 6 days since my massage and my rash has continued to get worse, now spreading up to my arm pit from my elbows. I know it's the massage because I never get rashes and I don't really use lotions. The rash started right after the massage. I am hoping I wasn't exposed to scabies or something more serious. I paid for a Swedish massage and it was clear as soon as the massage started that the masseuse had no idea what that was and is possibly not even a trained professional. She commented several times that she knew she was applying too much pressure but she wanted to get some knots out. A trained professional knows how to do this without hurting the customer. Instead, she somehow pushed so hard, I felt like she pulled a muscle in my back. I have never had this happen during a massage and even when she asked if she should be more gentle and I agreed, she seemed unable to adjust pressure. 6 days later and my back is still sore. The final straw was when she pushed my knees towards my arm pits and forced a spinal twist on both sides. I am a yoga teacher so I'm very flexible but my back was not warmed up and this not only felt uncomfortable, it was outright dangerous. You should never manipulate someone's spine like that yourself. I know this from my training as a yoga teacher. I will not be back. read more

Really rating a 4.5. I went for the 60 minute foot massage. All I can say is ASK FOR ERIC! I'm used to a more salon spa style foot massage. This one was like a normal massage laying down with the focus on your feet and some time dedicated to calves and thighs. Eric did amazing. He used the pressure I needed to make it work. So much so that I'm booking again in a few days for a full body because I have a ton of knots and I liked the pressure he used. I walked a mile to get here just to make it worth it. Get the massage! Came here with my friend after Dreamstate SF and this was exactly what we needed. We both got the 1-hour foot massage for $50 and it was worth it. They don't just work your feet either--they hit your head, neck, and shoulders too, which was a nice surprise. Service was quick. We walked in and they took us back right away, no waiting around. Place was clean and quiet, which I appreciated after a full weekend of loud music and not enough sleep. I read on Yelp that you can bring your own music and just throw in some earphones. I love this place. I got a massage with cupping after dealing with a traumatic experience. I was a walk-in appointment & they luckily had immediate availability. They had great prices, and the person who worked on me was great at checking in about pressure. For the cupping I was feeling sensitive, and she always listened and adjusted according to what I needed. They gave me instructions after the cupping that were helpful (don't shower directly after, rest, drink water, will be sore for a few days before feeling more energized). I plan on going back. Tip: Be prepared to communicate about pressure & needs. The masseuses are nice and will appreciate the feedback. Do not let them do something thats uncomfortable and not voicing out on what YOU the customer wants and then giving them a bad review. It does not make sense. With that said. Omg, this was the best massage ever (or maybe tied for #1). Therapeutic stretching, perfect pressure (especially on my neck, back, and shoulders), found knots I didn't even know I had! I think my masseuse's name was Jojo, and she was good (really good!). My partner's masseur did a good job as well, when you ask for a deep tissue massage, they definitely deliver! We used the couples room, which is actually not a room, just a space surrounded by curtains, but it was fine. My wife was looking for relief with a sore upper back and we were in the Oakland area. When it comes to a massage, places can really be a hit or miss because a massage is very personal. With the help of Yelp and fellow Yelpers we found this gem of a place in a not so nice looking neighborhood. Her masseuse, Jojo was wonderful! She provided a strong deep tissue massage and also expertly walked on my wife's back with precision, targeting her problem areas. Other places may have a language barrier which can hinder communication and the ability to let the masseuse know what your needs are. NOT HERE! Jojo was able to understand what my wife was looking for and able to address all her requests during the 60 minute session for $70. The only issue were the uncomfortable, scratchy sheets on the massage table. However, every effort was made to make the room warm, comfortable and quiet. Thank you Jojo! I did get lucky at Lucky Foot Spa. Jokes aside - This may be the BEST massage experience in my life!! I have a lot of knots in my neck and shoulders and get tension headaches often. It's so frustrating and debilitating, and I'm always worried if I can sustain myself at work. I stretch and do yoga every week and still have pain. You get the idea. So naturally I get massages too. I have had tried many places, but no one NO ONE had magical hands as Jennifer! She hit all the right places with the pressure I needed. Other places would hit wrong spots, too gentle on certain areas or too hard on wrong spots like my bones? But with Jennifer it's like...how did she read my mind? I can feel my knots effectively melting with each pressure. With that said, I am confused by the comment below mine - I actually wanted, no, NEEDED, more pressure. Otherwise, how else do you get rid of knots and tension? To each their own I guess, but I don't feel it that particular review reflected on the expertise of the masseuse. So happy that I found this local gem! I've been to lucky foot spa several times now and this is the only massage spa that I go regularly now. First off, the prices are unbeatable, you can get a 90 minute massage combo (30 feet + 60 body) for only $90. These prices have officially spoiled me and I cannot justify paying for any other massage again! Best of all, they take card :o Normally I go for the combo since ya girl walks a bit so her feet is always hurting, but most recently I got a 90 min deep tissue massage from the owner herself, Jennifer. I've been having regular back pains and she managed to find and loosen all the knots, even the ones that I didn't know existed in weird crevasses. Jennifer works with you in identifying your problem areas and tackles them with a shocking amount of strength for her small frame! Highly recommend, will be back again and again. Just got out of a massage and feel compelled to post a review. We've been here a handful of times over the years and like this place for foot massages but this is the first time we did a 60 min foot and a 30 min full body. Jennifer is the owner and did my massage today but the handful of folks we've had are all solid. We've also had Jojo who is also great but wasn't working today. My partner had a male masseuse whose name we didn't get on the way out but he was really meticulous. We're scared how we'll feel the next few days but know we'll feel great after that. One hour here felt more effective than 90-120 minutes anywhere else! So worth it and especially for the price of $50 for an hour. The shop itself is a bit obscure if it weren't for the vivid green awning and you will need to call or ring the doorbell to be let into the humble little shop. The shop itself is very reminiscent of massage parlors back in Asia and the techniques and strength JoJo put into the massage itself was AMAZING. I been having sleep issues for weeks so I decided to see if a massage will remediate the issue. Booking at this location was very easy, at first the owner missed the call but she immediately called me back and gave me a same day time slot. I chose to do a deep tissue and cupping. For the deep tissue massage I had a male masseuse who was great . Glad he didn't go Rambo on me because I'm sure he can dish out lots of pain. He got all the right spots where I believe was bothering me. For the cupping, I LOVED IT!!!! I felt so bad for the girl who administered the sessions. For some reason while she was putting the cups my body felt it was so uncomfortably hot that she needed to manually fan me down. I even had to ask when this is over. It's not that I didn't enjoy it but I was hot and and didn't breathe too well. If she was reading this message, the cupping for me feels really good but it was just too hot.. I wish they can put me in a walk in freezer and do the cupping:) All in all my experience was great vs money spent. The owner also offer to work on me next week because she wants to fix me. I really like how clean the reception, and the private massage rooms are. Though it can get a bit noisy. I usually get a Swedish massages when I visit. It was pretty nice, it was a bit painful on my first visit during some of it, but I really like the part when they worked on my leg, and the head area. Always helped clear the little migraine that I have. It did get busy during my last visit, so I guess an appointment is better for them to get the staff, and the private rooms available. It was like $60 for 60 minutes + 15-20-30% tip depending on you. I think it's more worth it than going to a chiropractor, since a chiropractor visit only lasts for about 5-10 minutes, and they do cost a lot more. read more
