My family and I are so grateful to the team at Northwest: Darlene, Nate, and Zane! I recommend them…read morewithout hesitation for their talented people, can-do attitude, professionalism, a successful outcome, and a great customer experience!! The backstory: my family and I were in Alaska when the PNW had a big freeze and our pool heat pump condenser and above ground pipes froze and burst. No one was able to come to our home for a couple weeks due to all the other customer priorities dealing with the aftermath of the storm. I completely get it...a pool is not a priority when others are without heat. So our son purchased and installed a new condenser to get the pool water flowing to avoid frozen water in the pool cracking our pool walls and creating a much bigger problem! Our next challenge was to find a way to purchase and install a highly regulated refrigerant requiring a license and special tools. We soon learned that DIYing the refrigerant to get the heat pump working was not possible. For over three years I called different service companies asking for help - pool service companies such as Aquaquip who originally sold and installed the unit, and AquaCal; a different AquaCal, the manufacturer of the pool heat pump; other dozens of other HVAC contractors too numerous to mention except I will mention my serious disappointment with South Sound Plumbing with whom we spend a lot of money annually to service our other home heat pumps. After 30 different phone calls none would help us. "Too risky they" said, "wouldn't be able to warranty the work" said others. The truth? Our problem was simply too small a job or didn't fit their known expertise. Northwest was willing to help (BTW they showed up on the top of a list of HVAC contractors during my ChatGPT co-thinking session). I'm so grateful to Darlene (who took my call and listened with compassion to my unusual problem. I'm grateful to Zane, Northwest's Service Manager, who spent time deeply listening, brainstorming an approach, and getting someone out to our home. Finally, heartfelt kudos to Nate, our HVAC tech wizard, who successfully got our pool heat pump heating water! Yahoo! If you've got an HVAC challenge that doesn't fit neatly into your current HVAC service company's service menu or you want to partner with a company who really cares about delivering value and a great customer experience, I highly recommend Northwest Expert Heating, Cooling, and Electrical!

I was SOOOO impressed with these guys on install over a year ago, and with our 6-month service…read more Now, at over a year, we are being told we need new vents installed, despite them counting vents during install and having a perfectly great airflow on our sixth month service. I feel like I've been a vicitim of a very elaborate bait and switch (combined with the fact that I stupidly decided to do a five-year membership to service our system at no cost so now I'm tied to them). This was THEIR error, not discovered at install or six months, and now I'm out $1500. They never acknowledged their install error. To boot, their GM basically harassed me on text, super unprofessional, berating my husband for hanging up on him after he completely ignored my information on text. He mentioned he would share our text thread on reviews. Cool. Question if it is all there if they do post. Buyer BEWARE. Don't let the sell job catch you...they're slick on the sell and absent on accountability. :-( UPDATE: Another company identified a different problem as the culprit, and identified installation flaws from this company. Please don't use them. They cut corners and are now costing us thousands. This company sold out in October 2025 and it shows. Buyer beware.

tldr - if it's related to HVAC, call the installer of your HVAC system if possible…read more I called Green Bear to take a look at an HVAC system (on second floor) that was leaking water on the 1st floor ceiling (due to AC condensation). They sent someone over, who didn't really open the HVAC system panel much. I didn't seem confident that this would fix it. But they recommended to fix the drain pan inside the evaporator coil box, which they said was much more expensive. For clearing the drain pipe and gluing a loose pipe, which didn't actually fix the main problem, they still billed me $300 - diagnostic fee ($99) + 1 hour ($199) - (there's a 3% credit card fee, but they accept checks) 4 or 5 hours later, there was dripping again. I ended up calling Bob's, they sent 2 technicians who knew what they were doing (they opened the panel properly), they found and fixed the issue - it did not involve replacing a drain pan. Bob's only charged me the diagnostic fee of $175 and did the job right (compared to $300 that Green Bear charged)

I was quickly scheduled and the tech arrived on time, took care of the issue.i was provided pictures of the work, and a report. I found out shortly after there is a 90 day. Warranty on the service - which is great in case I have any recurring issues. Price is a bit on the higher side but I knew that before scheduling the appointment.

Solid company!! I…read morehave been using these guys for over 11 years, in two homes and I have never had an issue with their work, on-time and extremely professional. I did a large remodel on my first home and they needed to add ducts, heat-pump and furnace. The house was only equipped with cadet-heaters and the job was massive (8 days). At the same time, I was installing a gas-lines and an independent contractor just wrapped it through my basement. These guys took the time put the gas-lines inside the ceiling and floors in order to hide it and never charged me for it. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I don't usually write reviews but I feel that this must be said. I have used this company for 5…read moredifferent projects. The first three went very well. The crews that were here was quite good. the last two projects did not go well. The crews were not the same caliber as the first three crews. The problems with the fourth project was retified by the company. The last project that was done, it was clear that the crew didn't know what they were doing as far as the roof vents was concerned. I talked was the manager, Eric about the problem and he said that it would be a week before they could take care of the problem. That has been over 2 months. I had a technician come out a few days ago about another issue and he said he would let Eric know about the original issue that has not been addressed, still no response. I kind of feel like I'm dealing with a used car lot salesman that as soon as they get paid, They don't offer no assistance. The response that I got from Eric over two months ago was he wished that he hadn't taken on this job because they don't do roof vents on my type of roof. Well, he took the money and now I am left with this mess. If anyone needs to see pictures, I can provide.
