I mean, I guess.
Whenever someone asks me if I want to eat something, I never opt for a burger joint. Ever. If I want a burger, I go to McDonald's because I'm not handing out more than $5 for a slab of ground meat between some bread. Just doesn't do it for me.
Now, I've had some pretty magical burgers in my life that justified paying more for because they were just amazing. I have such low standards for burgers that they blew me out of the water. These burgers didn't come from the Jekyll and Hyde club in NYC (trash) and they definitely didn't come from ... what am I writing a review for again?

Oh, yeah. Good Stuff Eatery. Just that easy to forget.
I know what y'all are thinking. "Urs, how are you trashing this place, but you gave it three stars?" It's because I didn't get a typical burger which is what I should have done in order to write a fair review. Also, like I said, I don't care for burgers so I went in with a bad attitude. Totally not their fault.
Just bare with me.
It's a sit down/take out joint. The line starts at the opposite side of the entrance door and works it's way towards the front. You can see them cooking from the counter which is something I love, so I'm thinking it won't be too terrible.
I ordered a fried green tomato burger.. so yeah, there was no actual burger. My first mistake. Second mistake was not getting the bun or the mayo since I'm on a diet. I could have gotten away with no buns, but I regret not getting the mayo. Got an order of some rosemary and thyme fries (isn't it sad how I don't remember the names of any of the menu items?) and some water.
I had problems with the water. Why did it come out like a trickle? There was a line to get water because it came out so slow! Y'all, fix that! Also, the little cubby for the condiments and the drinks is too cubby-like. It's confusing, you bump into people, and the condiment containers don't even work. I just wanted some mustard. That's all!
The seating area in the back is heavily neglected. Our table was trashed. We asked someone to come clean and they disappeared. Thanks for that. And the metal chairs aren't cute or comfortable and they scrape up the floor. If you don't have a bar, you don't need barstools. Thank you.
And onto my "burger."
Thank Buddha my diet-having ass got the goat cheese because goodness knows those two slices of fried green tomato were tasteless. I mean, green tomatoes are usually a tasteless novelty, but this hurt my feelings. If I'm going to eat a glorified salad, I should know to treat myself better. That batter had absolutely no flavor. Lord, help it.
... but the fries were nice. A tad salty, but I enjoyed them moreso than my tomatoes. Also, three of the four people dining with me enjoyed their food. The fourth just didn't think hers was a good burger, but the rest counts for something, right?
As stated earlier, what I ordered was totally my fault. Most burgers are made of components that taste okay on their own, but amazing together. When I decided to get a deconstructed burger-less burger with fancy salad, I screwed myself over and did wrong by Good Stuff Eatery.
Will I be back to give them another chance and possibly a better review?
No. I don't do burger joints, remember? read more
