I also feel that anywhere that uses King State beans and produces less than quality coffee is well....disappointing. Service was fine. I got my drink in a very reasonable amount of time. The space is....a lot. You can tell that they are going for Instagram- and TikTok-ability. However, I don't feel that it fits the vibe of the Rialto at all and was very surprised to see the decor/design choices in what was already a beautiful space. The menu is expansive in terms of espresso-based beverages, but most of their specialty drinks (which are most of the menu) have several syrups in them. I would prepare for them to be extremely sweet. They had a few pastry options, but I didn't try any - I will say that they do look good. Since I am a black coffee drinker, I got an iced americano, and I was very disappointed. I am not fully sure what went wrong, but the espresso was extremely weak. They use a great coffee for the espresso, so I was shocked that it was so bad. I am wondering if, maybe, this is the product of being a new space? And the staff still learning how to pull shots? The atmosphere is remarkably comfortable and intimate; it's the kind of place where you can actually have a real conversation without shouting over a crowd. We especially lucked out because on Tuesdays, they offer 50% off all wine bottles. Latte Vino also offers 15% off for all Baycare employees, military members and first responders.
