I cannot sing enough praises for Good Eggs! Every week I get high quality products for a reasonable price. You can't beat having farm fresh eggs and organic milk delivered every week amongst a plethora of other amazing groceries. Customer service also gets five stars from me. I love how easy it is to order from their website and make changes when necessary. I literally could and have started to do all my grocery shopping through Good Eggs. I highly recommend them! read more

I recently had the experience of being run off the road by a Good Eggs driver. Not only did they ignore my continuous horn honking as they were coming in our lane they shoved us in the middle meridian with nowhere to go. Then they took of weaving in and out of traffic at a extremely high rate of speed. Steer clear when you see their trucks coming because safety is not their first concern. read more

I can't remember life before Good Eggs! A few recommendations: - The Eggs! Seriously - I won't buy Eggs from Whole Foods any longer! - Mini Apple Pie - Perfection! - Mission Heirloom Paleo Meals - Perfect in a time crunch - Muffin Revolution Paleo Muffins - Pricy but they freeze and re-heat well Give it a try! read more

First time using Good Eggs. Ready to go to sleep but I have to stay up to wait for my delivery that's an hour and a half late. Not happy. Not impressed, especially since they're not cheap. read more

A colleague sent me a gift package for the holidays from Good Eggs. The cheese, crackers, and olives came in a beautiful box that was festive for the holidays. What a delight! When I had a slight problem with the order, specifically the packaging, the company was happy to provide me with a replacement the very next day. They were responsive and friendly over email, and they really impressed me with the service. I should also point out that the food options are delicious, high quality, and well packaged. Things that need to be refrigerated come with cold packs and/or in insulated envelopes, and the delivery person gives you a window in which to expect your order. I would certainly recommend this company for the high quality of their products as well as the friendly and responsive customer service experience. read more

I started using Good Eggs a year ago when I was on maternity leave as having groceries delivered was so convenient and I didn't like the selection available from Amazon. I continued to order from them 1-2 times a month once I was back at work. If you'd asked me a year ago I would have given them 5 stars, but things have gradually declined as time has gone by and I don't think I'll be ordering from them much going forward (if at all) The Good: - 90% of the produce I've received has been delicious and fresh, so I've been really happy with that - All but one of my conversations with customer service have gone well and I've felt the outcome was satisfactory and customer friendly - I have had a couple orders where something was missing or damaged irreparably and the customer service team was always easy to reach via email to process a refund The Cons - The food is expensive. A lot of it costs the same as Whole Foods, some of it costs more. Still, the convenience of having it delivered was worth it. - About 15% of the food isn't packed very well. I stopped ordering eggs and tortilla chips among other things. They often put these on the bottom of the boxes and they get smashed (seriously, who puts chips at the bottom of a box and layers other groceries on top?) - They recently added a $4 fee for "prime delivery" windows, which is basically everything morning and evening, so if you have a job or want to do anything on the weekends you have to pay extra for a convenient delivery time. - The last 4/5 times I ordered they were late. And not by a little but 1-2+ hours late. This past weekend I paid for my prime time delivery window and was waiting for my order between 10-12 on Saturday morning. At 11:45am I got a text saying they were running behind and *packing* my order now. The delivery window was almost up and the order wasn't even in transit! My updated delivery time was 1:45pm, which just didn't work with my schedule (there was a reason I picked 10-12) so I spent the next half hour in the car repeatedly calling to reach customer service to cancel the order. I left a message and sent an email initially and didn't receive a response, so I literally just kept calling over and over until I got through. I will say customer service was very polite once I finally got them on the line. They refunded the order and gave me a $15 credit, but honestly I think it may just be more efficient to drive to the store going forward since the delivery windows don't seem to mean anything. read more

$25 off first order promo didn't work. Friend referral doesn't work either. Nice way to sucker already skeptical customers in. Disappointing....... read more

After a few months as a member I'm out. Several deliveries of close to rotten vegetables (way too soft, almost rotten), and today they delivered my meat EXPIRED. This place is too expensive to be picking the oldest items they have on their shelves for their daily deliveries. I'm out, no more. read more

A friend told me about Good Eggs several months ago and I just now received my first delivery. I'm a believer! Although I get my dry goods and pantry items from Safeway, I always buy my meat and fresh produce from places that have a good organic selection, like Cal-Mart or Andronico's. But the problem with those stores is that prices are sky-high, produce/meat are often not local, and, well, you have to drive there. ;-) Good Eggs eliminates the driving part and brings organic, local goodness straight to my door. As for prices: between Good Eggs and Cal-Mart/Andronico's, the prices are pretty similar -- though Good Eggs might be just a teensy tiny bit cheaper. So, ordering from Good Eggs is a no-brainer for me. The challenge will be exercising self-control and resisting the temptation to go on crazy Good Eggs shopping sprees! There is an endless variety of mouth-watering, gourmet items to choose from!!! So happy to have found this fabulous business! read more

This place is ratchet that explains why the orders take so long to proceed. First of all they don't pay enough to their employees. Second most the employees are just kids buzzing around and playing around (irresponsible) . Third the always have short staff. For low pay of course nobody wants to come to work full 10 hours for $16 hours maybe if the company take care of their employee their company wouldn't have a lot of wait. Because it all starts with employees and then costumers that's how you get the money. read more

We have used Good Eggs about once a week for the past two years but tonight was the last straw. The service has gone way down hill, with deliveries being consistently late. Tonight's delivery was 1.5 hours late and the only reason we had delivery tonight was because last night, the delivery was scheduled to be more than 3 hours late. It is super inconvenient to be waiting up for deliveries as well as the fact that the late deliveries wake up our sleeping baby. I really want to support a local company but this is getting ridiculous. read more

I am so fed up with how horrible Good Eggs' delivery service is. I used to LOVE them. Now there is a problem with EVERY order. Either the order comes well outside of the four hour delivery window and/or the items are wrong or damaged. On top of this they've gotten even more expensive so I've now come to the point of anger because I just feel like I'm donating my money away to them. But this is not a charity, I'm paying for a service and for some reason Good Eggs is not able to provide it. I don't get it. They've gone from two to four hour delivery windows and can't even meet them. It's one thing if your order is going to be late but it's another to not even communicate with the customer about the delivery status. This lack of communication is a HUGE flaw in their service and it's something that almost every other delivery service does. When I try to contact someone they don't get back to me until days later sometimes. The issue always gets met with a puny credit that isn't even enough to cover their now super high fees. It's annoying because instead of giving me my money back they just want to get me to go spend more money on their app. I don't mind paying delivery fees or for quality groceries but it's very upsetting that Good Eggs cannot provide the service I pay for. read more

It's been almost a month and multiple emails and I have not been refunded for the non delivery of my Thanksgiving order. This is completely unexceptionable. I've been a loyal customer for 5+ years and will never order from Good Eggs again. read more

I've ordered groceries from Good Eggs twice. The fact that their selection of goods isn't overwhelmingly expansive is a good thing, in my opinion - yet it still has all the basics covered, and more... All the produce I've ordered had has been fresh and ready to eat. The customer service is excellent - they reply very promptly to emails. The baked goods samples that I've received with each order are also nice touch. read more

I have always been a little skeptical about perishable food delivery services but that all went away when I discovered Good Eggs. Good Eggs is everything SF is about: local, fresh, in season, organic and sustainable. Their employees are AWESOME; the drivers come in the time window they are supposed to, never are grumpy and always take a moment to say hello and make sure everything is a-OK. The produce, meat, breads are all super fresh-- I have yet to receive anything that even seems a day-old. Anything that is to be refrigerated comes in cooler/insulated bags with ice packs which you can return to the driver on their next visit. This week, an item I ordered didn't make it to them and therefore to me. They immediately refunded my credit card, gave me a 10 dollar coupon to reorder from that farmer, AND they brought me flowers!!!! Seriously it made my day. Prices are fair-- maybe a buck more than the market--but hey if you go for the four hour delivery window, delivery is FREE! I really have a great deal of respect for them and plan on using their service weekly. Check them out if you want quality, variety and some time back to your life. read more

Fantastic customer support! I had an issue with one of my orders, and my email was responded to within minutes. Ultimately, everyone bent backwards to turn my day around. Thanks Gavin and Kelsey! As for the actual inventory, the fruit is amazing. I always thought buying organic and local would be expensive, but it can actually be cheaper than going to the store down the street. Beware of the gourmet nut butter...it's hard to resist not eating it straight out of the jar with a spoon! read more

I've ordered from them twice and each time, i've received produce that is minutes away from being rotten and inedible (bruised mushy apples and already yellowing baby kale). The produce is one of the main reasons I decided to try Good Eggs, so until they can assure me that what i will receive is fresh and will last longer than a day, there's no reason for me to continue using them. read more

Good Eggs is just awesome. You can read the reviews and get an idea about the service and quality of food. I will not go into the same detail as others. Good Eggs has been a lifesaver since we discovered it. My wife and I (both really busy) now barely go to Whole Foods for groceries and rely on Good Eggs for most of our weekday eating. Everything has been really good...prepared foods, produce, every thing. They have not disappointed one bit and I look forward to continuing use of this service. read more

I've had about 4 deliveries from Good Eggs in the past few months and they have my attention. Grocery delivery isn't really my thing, since I like to do my own, but Good Eggs has captured a terrific niche market: hard-to-find, high-quality local products *and* regular groceries. Although they don't stock the kind of national brands that Amazon Pantry or Safeway does (which might put some people off), they've got everything you might need in the way of dairy, eggs, breads, meats, fish, and produce. They also have sheep's milk, verjus, raw milk and cream, spatchcocked chicken, really interesting veggie burgers from Zero Labs, absurdly overpriced but delicious knishes and walnut-chocolate butter. All locally made. 1-star off for a somewhat cumbersome cold packaging return system, which requires that you return the cold packs within a month or they charge you $4.99 (not a problem if you get regular deliveries since they'll just pick it up). Still, I would rather have my food well-packed and insulated than worry about $5. Since I was home at the time of delivery today, I just unpacked everything while the delivery person was there and handed her back the packaging. read more

Pre pandemic; the GE experience was 80% good with. 20% disappointment. Now we are in the pandemic is it 20% good while 80% failure. What is unethical is they take ALL the monies in advance and after the fact "sometimes" let you know there are backorders, advise on backorders are not consistent and require several emails, phone calls and wait time to get any response. With households with slow or no income, now buyers have to pay in advance in FULL and Not get the goods and WAIT FOR THE REFUND, with technology, simple CC batching at the end of the fulfillment supply chain you would think they would have check points in place. I've been a consist weekend customer with weekly orders of excess of $150+ x 2 times a week. Now, I receive half the order, no advise on back orders, dealing with refund wait time, receiving expired goods, poor choices for items that were substituted. GE customers are receiving local small batch (farmers market select quality), but the prices are high for the smaller quanties received. Shopping at GE is a luxury with the cost factor, today, people need reliable, honest and transparent supplies. Due to the consist disappointment with GE, a trip to the local market is a must and you know, it's not that bad when you have time. New Leaf in Half Moon Bay is great and Oceana Market is another Great local source. GE, I am now cancelling our relationship along with the two pending orders shown in excess of $250 for next week. GET REAL, GET HONEST AND STOP THE EXCUSES. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOOD EGG AT THIS TIME read more

imo too expensive for the basic produce needed for the recipe i wanted.

I have had good luck with Good Eggs. We ordered our Christmas Eve dinner kit early: ham with a beautiful chicory, avocado, citrus salad, lovely meyer lemon dressing; also scalloped potatoes with bacon and chives; veggies with a pesto sauce; apple pie with vanilla ice cream. It was a beautiful meal for 4, and to be extra festive (and as a backup) I also ordered a large duck from Ocean2Table. The potatoes and veggies went into the oven while the ham and duck were "resting." The menu worked well, a festive meal with flavor, variety,-- and easy timing. And no shopping cart madness at the grocery store...Thank you Good Eggs for a delicious, easy, no stress Christmas dinner! read more

I have been using Good Eggs for about 3 months after a neighbor highly recommended them. For someone who does not love to spend long hours in the kitchen, their meal kits are perfect. Dinners turn out delicious, time invested is about an hour and the ingredients are of the highest quality. Tried their pork chop last night and I usually don't cook pork, but it was delicious and not dry. I especially like all the different sauces that come with the meal kits to give the meal an extra nice touch. If you are getting tired of take out, give them a try. Also no subscription with this service and I like not being tied to use them every week. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. Very sorry to all the people who missed their order on Thanksgiving. I have never had an order come late, so I guess that was just an overload on the system. read more

This is a great place to shop and getting it delivered to your front door. I was in search of something saw that Good Eggs carried this. I called them was instructed how to place my order and arrival would be the next day. Person answering the phone very polite and knowledgeable. Received 2 emails with cut off time and another one with my receipt of purchase. The following day was an email from Hillary asking of my satisfaction and delivery of my produce . Told her excellent I had a few more questions and communicated with me she will get back to me as soon as they have an answer. Such a nice and polite staff if you order from here definitely efficient and well packed. read more

Good Eggs - Nice cooler bag with cold blue ice - Food Delivery Services Near Me

I am giving 3 stars to be fair with my first order several months ago. It was successful! I wanted to give 1 star for my recent purchase last week. I ordered ahead of time, 4days before my husband's birthday. The cake was not delivered! Nobody contacted me that the cake was out of stock so atleast I can change it. And they waited for me to call to ask where my cake was and to be refunded. My second order was a total disaster! My husband has no cake on his birthday. We have other plans that is why I couldn't get a new cake and that is why I relied on the delivery from Good Eggs but ended up unsuccessful. So disappointed!!! read more

GoodEggs has been essential to my new lifestyle of eating more fruits/veggies/grass fed beef, etc. The delivery has been (mainly) painless and on time. There are many gluten free choices, and celiac friends will be happy to see many items to choose from. I just wish you could search their website a little easier. Or you could click on an item and it would tell me which day(s) of the week they are available. All in all, a great idea, and it works pretty smoothly. I still need to supplement items by going to the farmers market and a larger store about once a week, but that's not a bad thing. read more

I love good eggs! The ordering and delivery is so easy, and the products are fantastic. We plan our whole week's dinners using good eggs, and almost don't need to go to the grocery store! Best part is that it's such good quality food that we can feed it to our baby without worrying. Keep it up! 4 months later: I have used Good Eggs for grocery delivery every single week since February and it has consistently been wonderful. The things that stand out to me now are the same as before: I love how easy it is to order on the app. Also I love that the animal products are all happy and well treated, and the fruit/veg are consistently very fresh and delicious. We've experimented with some of the pantry/baked goods and they're really tasty also. It's made cooking for our family (with a growing baby) much simpler and more efficient. read more

We have been using Good Eggs for almost all of our food needs since the pandemic started. Around Thanksgiving our order was delivered later in the day than we had asked for but other than that our orders are pretty much always delivered in the time window requested. Occasionally they'll be out of an item I tried to order, but I'd say it is more reliable than ordering through Instacart. read more

This company has really gone down hill. They market their products as absurdly fresh, but that is almost an insult to our intelligence. The last 5 orders have had rotten produce from California local farms. How does broccoli get moldy between the farm and the Bay Area? Most infuriating is that I've ordered two orders of a dozen eggs twice. These are farm fresh eggs, at 12.99 a dozen. Really? But worse is that they only delivered 6 each time. I've complained and there is no customer service. My complaints and requests for a refund on rotten food and now these might as well be golden eggs simply go ignored. read more

I am a HUGE fan of Good Eggs and absolutely love the idea of supporting local farmers. I used to think it was weird having someone pick and choose produce for me, but not anymore with Good Eggs. Everything is fresh, great quality and they offer a variety of items. I appreciate how they are constantly adding and introducing us to new and popular brands. They also added same day delivery (order before 1pm day of) and made the delivery window smaller which really works for me. When I first signed up, there were a few hiccups with my orders (nothing major) but their Customer Service always came to the rescue. They are nice, available, efficient and make sure they make it up to you. I haven't had issues with any recent orders but I know that I can count on Good Eggs' Customer Service. I highly recommend Good Eggs and will continue ordering from them for as long as I can! Delivery guys and gals are hardworking, very helpful and friendly. Thank you, Good Eggs! read more

I've been a happy customer for a couple of years - tonight was the first time my pre-paid delivery didn't show up. And haven't heard from anyone except a delivery person saying they were lost. Interested to see how they handle this poor experience. Would have expected a manager to have stepped in by now to explain why my delivery didn't happen as committed. read more

We absolutely LOVE this service and could not live with out it at this point! We tried the farm home delivery from Capay Farms for a couple of years now , but for the past year the produce had been under ripened or rotten, short on items with NO replacement and frustrating staff. We ordered eggs for a year, talked numerous times to the staff and NEVER received ONE carton, I gave up after a year of trying. But with GoodEggs, I have nothing but praise, ALL of the items have been delicious , fresh and abundant! Large sized bread, large bags of produce and I think because of the size and freshness really worth your buck! And all of my phones calls and emails with the staff have been stellar for friendliness and communication. As well as cute notes , recipes and sometimes free samples!! And the best part is you can order as much or as little as you want! And choose from produce, to nuts, baked goods, to dairy to meat. We only eat organic and GoodEggs makes it easy and delicious! Just wish I could convince more in my little tiny town to try it, so perhaps one day they will deliver here, but we love it so much we do not mind driving to Berkeley to pick it up once a week. read more

Received a beautiful printed brochure in the mail today and wanted to give it a try. Ordered over $300 of groceries and prepared meals. Time slot for delivery was 6pm-8pm - I received a text at 7.55pm to say it would be delivered between 9.20pm - 9.30pm. it is now after 10pm - no delivery - no message - zero communication and NO DELIVERY!! read more

Like other reviewers, I wanted to love this food delivery service as they came to my rescue during the first weeks of the Covid-19 stay-at-home period, when I placed my first orders. In the "pro" column, several of the items they offer are competitively priced with stores in my area, and the overall selection is good. They also offer some items I've never come across before. I especially enjoyed the Good Eggs Kitchen prepared items, though they were a bit pricey. In the "con" column, the delivery cost went up with subsequent orders, probably because -- due to the pandemic -- delivery staff are no longer allowed to collect and re-use the rather sturdy boxes and cold packs from your previous orders, so their costs have likely increased. (So now dealing with those thick cardboard boxes is the customer's job, and even with a heavy-duty Stanley knife, cutting them down for recycling takes some doing!) I placed my last order for a non-prime day/delivery window, and even though the order total was $100, the delivery fee added another $14. Also, the Good Eggs website used to say not to tip for delivery, but I noticed that it's been reworded to say tips aren't necessary, so I started adding a tip for the delivery person as well, who no doubt deserved it. Just makes for a very expensive grocery shop. Now for the serious cons: Items arrive with "enjoy by dates" too soon (some only 2-3 days from the delivery date) for a small household to use before they spoil. But that's not a problem with the produce, because it often arrives pre-spoiled. Sadly, my most recent order will be my last. Almost all the produce was visibly ancient. And the produce wasn't bagged in my last order, so unless they were being chucked in the box by a robot, it's baffling how anyone could miss seeing and feeling the slime and rot when they picked up the produce to box it. I did call customer service and got a small credit, but it wasn't enough as it left me without some of the critical ingredients for that night's meal. Also, I didn't notice until the following day that all the lemons in a large, bulk order were moldy and soft as well, but I couldn't be bothered to call back and request another credit, so I just donated them to a friend's compost container and chocked it up to experience. All in all, Good Eggs gets high marks for the concept, an attractive website and conscientious customer service, but for fresh food items, this is emphatically not good value for the money. read more

Overpriced for the quality. Gotten sick a couple of times from prepared meals. Fruit and veg is hit and miss.

I really want to love this service, their products are on point. Great sustainably sourced meat options. Super excellent fresh fruit and veggies and yummy snacks from local providers. All at a reasonable price but... they are SUPER unreliable. I have ordered from them 10 times at least. They email you an hour before your order arrives to tell you which items you will NOT be receiving. If you have two working parents like our family, not receiving, for example oranges, carrots, broccoli, Parmesan and spinach, which were the missing items on my last order, this means I still have to go to the store for supplies and at the last minute. If they step up their game and could let me know a little earlier like the day before about missing items maybe I could substitute, but nope. They are regularly late delivering outside the 2 or 3 hour window, they are good about communicating though. read more

Good Eggs is essential to running my household smoothly. I have a twice weekly subscription set up and I am always happy to see those brown paper bags on my doorstep. The website is easy to use and the customer service is outstanding. If you have an issue-call, a human will answer. Do not order from Good Eggs! I ordered groceries for my parents thinking I would save valuable time and get organic local products. I ordered approximately $100 worth of fresh produce ranging from leafy greens to bags of fresh fruit plus loaf of bread. First off, when the order was delivered, the delivery person looked homeless and smelled like it too. The bread was stale, the produce was subpar. The bag of blood oranges were all dry. Couldn't get an Orange that was edible. Leafy greens were ok and potatoes were not stored properly. My bag of regular fingerling potatoes refrigerated and turned into sweet potatoes. They tasted off when cooked. The loaf of bread was so hard it was inedible! I emailed customer service (after visiting my parents) the day after the order was delivered and I never received any response. read more

I am a new customer, and I decided to try Good Eggs among other competitors because I received an email with a $50 coupon. When I clicked it, I was directed to the website which applied my coupon. I added vegetables and fruit, and my ultimate bill at checkout reflected $18.38, reflecting the $50 coupon off. The coupon was removed at the very last minute, unbeknownst to me. The coupon in the small print appeared to not be able to be applied to other items apart from a specific box. My issue is that (1) if that were true, the coupon should not have been reflected throughout the entire checkout process, including the very last step. (2)Good Eggs promised to "make it right" if you are not happy with your order, which they have refused to do: https://www.goodeggs.com/terms. I have contacted Good Eggs but the customer service rep says there is nothing they can do. I feel that they provided an illusory experience to a customer who may have very well continued to use the service. I do not think they honored their promise of "making it right" especially because I am willing to return all the items unused. read more
