Well before it's charming renovation, back to when it had leather bar stools at the bakery counter and Jim in the back making the best apple fritters you've ever had. I come whenever I'm in town and it's always good. I think more than anything I come for the nostalgia. The Rice Krispie treats are always a solid pick and I enjoy them a lot. Same with the smiley face cookies, the bakery frosting is the best. I got a parfait for the first time since high school though and was sorely disappointed. They used to use wake robin yogurt (which I do remember them discontinuing some years ago), but now the yogurt is SO sweet. Overall it makes the parfait too sweet with the homemade granola and blueberry coulis. I couldn't help but notice how much smaller the parfait portions are too. They used to be full sized cups and now they're nearly half their former size which was definitely disappointing considering the price has certainly not gone down. In summary, the bakery will always hold a special place in my heart. Been going since I was a baby. The treats are good, sandwiches are solid, and they have a wide variety of beverages. Steer clear of the updated parfait though

I had the bagel of the week - Quattro Formaggio ( 4 cheeses)... with bacon, egg and fried egg it was a very tasty sandwich. (My only disappointment was the very small amount of thin bacon and it was all on one side as you can see in the picture). I love that you can order the egg scrambled or fried. Excellent bagel, delivered warm and quite quickly considering how busy they were.

The inside is very clean they have tables and a dining room area to sit and enjoy your food, and they recently opened up their outdoor patio to enjoy some fresh air while enjoying your food. The bathrooms are clean and the kitchen area is clean too. The service was excellent . I've been here three times since visiting Auburn, New York and every time the service has been amazing. The staff was quick to take our orders. They were quick with preparing the food, and they all worked as a team communicating, and helping each other. I saved the best for last, let's talk about the food! I got an everything bagel, toasted with scallion cream cheese, red raw onions, and fresh tomatoes. I also purchased a cinnamon scone for the road. All their pastries are made fresh as well as the bagels. They have a regular menu of the most popular bagels and they always do a bagel of the week. This week was a chocolate bagel. They also have gluten-free bagels. You can do breakfast sandwiches, they have specialty sandwiches. They have a large variety of flavorful cream cheese spreads. In addition to serving pastries and bagels, soups, salads they also serve a variety of beverages. In conclusion, Auburn bagel Company, as they say "A Schmear above the rest!" if you're visiting in the finger lakes area then you must try Auburn bagel Company, I promise, you will not be disappointed! You…read morealways want to find the local gems in a region, and this past weekend we found just that in Water Street Bagel in Syracuse, NY. The place was bustling, all seats taken, people standing waiting on their order, and others dashing in for their carry out orders. There's good reason for that, the food, the coffee, the service, the vibe was all excellent. Inside is clean, simply decorated, and everything from the food to the kitchen is visible. It's simply part of the decor. We purchased some bagels from the previous day, some breakfast sandwiches and coffee. The coffee was bold, rich and fresh. The bagels delicious, all of the sandwich parts cooked to perfection. There's a friendly, warm vibe inside that extends from the staff and is entrenched in the food and coffee. Just a fantastic place for bagels and, I have to admit, NY bagels are next level. If you're in Syracuse, I highly recommend you make sure you make Water Street Bagel one of your stops.

The staff always seem to be hard at work as they are clearly in high demand. We were lucky this visit because all of the bagels were super fresh as it was peak busy hours. We also were lucky because we actually found parking quite quickly & didn't have to circle the block. I appreciate they offer sandwich options but I usually stick with a bagel & some form of cream cheese for myself because that's just usually my preference. This visit I got a rosemary salt bagel with salmon cream cheese. It was simple & perfectly what I was looking for that day. It's a beautiful space that is well lit & well decorated. It's easy to find them with their sign out front. It can get a bit crowded inside if they're busy but that's nothing to complain about it's just the reality of the space they are working with. Last note- it does always smell really amazing when you walk in there.

We landed on BlackBerry Inn Kitchen. It is a such a cute place. The service was super nice. You order what you want from the counter, and they will bring it to you. We chose to sit outside, the day was so beautiful. There are just a few tables. But they did a great job with the little space they have. The inside though is decorated really well, and has a cozy vibe. They sell a lot in that little space. Cold grab and go items, cool grab and go groceries, like Pierogis and such. I bought a bottle of their CBD Ice Tea. Delicious, refreshing. I also, ordered a pork sandwich on a roll, with Horseradish and tomatoes. You can order any fixings they offer, these were just my preferences. I forget what my guest had, but I took a picture. I liked the size of the sandwiches. Perfect light plate, for spending the day walking. I definitely recommend and will be back. They look perfect for a breakfast or lunch sandwich. We were there at 2Pm. I didn't make note of their hours. But I'm guessing they are more of a breakfast and lunch place. My conclusion was based on our difficulty choosing a sandwich because they were out of most of their baked breads. Which I would expect from a bakery/sandwich shop that closed at 3pm

Their ingredients are locally sourced, and all of their menu items are fresh and made from scratch. I walked into Riverwalk Bagel on a rare morning trip to Oswego village and wanted some breakfast. Ordered a ham, egg and cheese on a jalapeno cheddar bagel. Got it, started eating and everything seemed fine. Meat was piled high, bagel was decent, but as I took a bite or two, I noticed something green in my egg. Not really sure how I missed it, as the spots are noticeable even in the pic I took before I started eating. I took the sandwich apart to see that there were green spots all over my egg. I took it to the front counter to see if maybe there was something they put in the eggs I didn't know about, but the response was basically "no, they're just old and get green spots on them when left in the steamer too long." I watched another employee go to the steamer and throw away the remaining eggs, but received no offer to remake mine or anything, employees were pretty apathetic the entire time I was there. I'm not expecting employees of a bagel shop to jump for joy or anything, but the complete lack of interest from the employees when I expressed a concern about an admitted problem on their end will probably keep me from coming back again.
