Welcome to great tasting food!
Bernie A.

A nice alternative. Tried the ramen and it was delicious! Nice friendly staff ensured that my dinner was what I expected. It actually exceeded expectations! Recommend!

Honey Garlic Chicken 蜜糖鸡
Nathaly L.

I never have a bad experience when I come here and I was super happy they opened on bird. Everything is always taste, the staff is super nice. The honey garlic chicken always looks like pretty golden jewels and it's like caramelized. The kimchi spicy chicken bowl is also yummy I do wish it was spicier. The other chicken bow that I've had that's good is the golden chicken steak rice bowl. The pork and beef gyoza are good I recommend the beef ones. The takoyaki is decent and always piping hot. I always get the ginger pork dumplings they are good. The tonkatsu ramen is also pretty good and I like coming here for ramen.

Is my first time in this location. I love the food here. Is the best noodles in Kendall. The coconut lava ball is so delicious

Passionfruit Tea with Strawberry pop
Jackie L.

I've dined in at their 40th avenue location once and had carry out 3 times at the 107th avenue location. I will say I really enjoyed my Spicy Miso Ramen Soup, Garlic Mongolian Beef dish and a Passionfruit Tea with strawberry pops at the 40th Avenue location. The soup broth was fresh and yummy. The garlic beef dish had a crunchy texture with a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The tea was refreshing and had fresh lime in it. The service at the location was top notch. The gentleman regularly asked if everything was okay. It was a pleasant experience. Only complaint is that they are supposed to open for service 11:00 am. I arrived at 11:00 am and was told they needed some more time to prep and to come back at 11:45 am. At their 107th Avenue location, I've ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen soup on 3 separate occasions all carry out or delivery. I also tried the Pad Thai with chicken and Special Fried Rice. The quantity of the soup broth provided for carry out is less compared to dining in. Which is a bummer. I really didn't enjoy the Pad Thai. It lacked the tartness from tamarind and sweetness that most Pad Thai dishes have. I'm an avid Pad Thai enthusiast and this dish wasn't it. It tasted like an ordinary bland noodle dish. The Special Fried Rice was also bland and lacked spices or flavor. I arrived at the restaurant and found that they have an Asian market in the same suite. I did purchase some of my staple Asian items while picking up my carry out, which was cool. The market is overpriced compared to other Asian markets. The dine in section is very small and lively. Expect a wait time to be seated. The quality of beef and chicken used in their ramen soups and Pad Thai was not good at all. It was rubbery and did not taste or have the texture of beef or chicken. In the future, I'll try the those dishes with tofu or shrimp, since I don't consume pork. Consuming the ramen soup is best during dine in. For carry out my noodles were struck together, dry and the seaweed was welted. Top dishes for me is the ramen soups and the garlic Mongolian beef. I love that the menu offers various broths that are not all pork based. If you can wait to for a dine in experience over carry out, that would be best. Both locations are anime themed which is very cool! I give this restaurant overall 6.5/10.

We visited this place today and 10/10. Great service, the food was great and they served a lot for the price. Definitely recommend if you want a great customer service experience and good food. Ambience was phenomenal also, it has a nice quiet atmosphere with super nice anime aesthetics. And a special thanks to jimmy and yanfen

Takoyaki

Very good service. We ordered shrimp fried rice, takoyaki and dimsum. Small place but their food was delicious

Jasmine lemonade

Made a quick pivot to eat here on the way to another restaurant and I'm so glad we did! The inside decor really drew me in - it's SO CUTE! The service was great and super attentive. I started with a jasmine lemonade and right away was blown away - it was so refreshing and came in the cutest cup! I will never come to this shopping center and not get this drink to go LOL We went with the Asian lo mien, porky buns, and honey garlic chicken with white rice. Everything was so delicious we were so impressed. I highly recommend coming and checking this place out.

Garlic Mongolian beef

Good chef restaurant was really cute spot with tasty options and nice service. I tried this place as it was referred by a coworker and endless tiktokers and glad I did. In terms of the food the spicy yummy ramen was great the broth was especially tasty when comparing it to other Ramen places I like to go to I would stay here was definitely more savory! The Mongolian beef was good if you like garlic it packs a punch but for me it was a bit too sweet I would have preferred less sweet more savory but it was still great. Besides the ramen I really enjoyed the ginger pork dumplings that was hands down my favorite! I would go back just for that.

Yummy Spicy Ramen with Charsui Pork Belly and Egg Noodles
Andrea U.

Unassuming from the outside but adorable on the inside, this place offers a nice variety of Asian dishes with a lot of flavor! I enjoyed the Yummy Spicy Ramen and Porky Buns, both of which were so delicious I'm still thinking about them a day later. My only gripe with this restaurant is the prices - the portions are generous and the dishes are definitely worth it taste-wise, but I personally don't like having to pay extra to add proteins to dishes that are supposed to come with them already (e.g. you have to pay to add any meat to the ramen). Other than that, I really enjoyed my first taste of Good Chef and can't wait to go back to try more! I'm looking at you, Rice with Pork Belly!

Steamed dumplings

The location is pretty small which I didn't expect, but they have a lot of variety any on the menu. I did like the decorations inside. I will say I've gone to a lot of Asian spots because I love Asian food and this spot was OK. The pork buns look like the ones that are frozen that you buy at the Asian markets. It doesn't look homemade but it's OK cause I'll still eat it. The dumplings also didn't look homemade. The honey chicken we had was pretty good and flavorful, it had a nice crunch. The fried rice was ok, but I've had better. I might go back to try other things on the menu but for now this place is ok.

Porky bun: skip them. Dry and lacking flavor.

We were looking forward to finally finding some outstanding, authentic Chinese food in the Miami-Dade area. Unfortunately, you won't find it here, for the most part. We give them credit for the low-key, anime' -themed restaurant inside an Asian supermarket. Strengths: *Steam Ginger Pork Dumplings are among the best soup dumplings we've ever had. Just be careful with your first bite, as the soup inside is super hot (as it should be) Weaknesses *The Vegetable Spring Roll was lackluster *Twice Cooked Pork: the pork was either fatty, or too chewy, or both. The oil was excessive, pooling in the dish as we ate our way through it *Porky Bun: the meat was bone dry and there wasn't much flavor overall. We've had much better bao *They serve no alcohol, but they also don't have a corkage fee or BYOB, so don't bother bringing wine (which we mistakenly did, and got a hard time from our waitress for doing so, and weren't allowed to drink it) *The Asian fusion approach seems to have backfired. They should focus more on a smaller menu of high-quality dishes

Steam Ginger Pork Dumplings (4 pcs) Highly recommend Delicious in every bite

Highly recommend this spot! The atmosphere is chill and great for an intimate date. The staff is amazing! Attentive and friendly. The most important part is the food! Delicious

Chicken Pad Thai Noodle
Johandra P.

Came to visit the new location in bird road, and I was just surprised at how small it is, it might be as big as the other location but since the other one is attached to an Asian market it definitely feels bigger. Just adding that so that you are aware that if you come on a busy weekend night you might have to wait a bit for a table. We visited as a family and the kids loved it! The decorations are very cute and anime-themed which they couldn't get enough of. Food and drinks were all delicious and they had enough to choose from. Very classic Asian dishes and boba teas. Service was also great, fast and efficient! Highly recommend it! Recommended dishes: Pork Gyoza and Mongolian beef! Drinks: passion fruit tea with pearls.

Great Asian food and boba tea. The place is small but very pretty inside. It is mostly a takeout. The portions are a bit small but tasty.

Drinks are delicious, the appetizers are varied and beautifully prepared, and every dish we tried was flavorful with generous portions. The Umami Butter Escargot was so extraordinary I could have ordered it repeatedly and made it my entire dinner; truly out‑of‑this‑world good. For the main course, the Seco de Res--short rib served over a wonderful harina de maíz--was pure excellence on a plate. Prices are in line with other high‑quality restaurants in Miami. The evening started well with great drinks and dumplings. When ordering, I explained my cheese allergy and requested risotto without cheese, confirming that cream was okay when asked. After taking our orders, our server returned to say the chef wouldn't accommodate the request because it would change the texture. I repeatedly explained that I understood the texture would be different and was completely fine with that. Given what I'd seen in the video, I found this refusal especially hard to understand. I asked several times for reconsideration and insisted on speaking with the chef directly. Despite our server going back to him more than once, the answer remained no, and he never spoke with us--even when passing our table. When I requested the general manager, I learned she was also our server. I was shocked that she couldn't resolve the issue or clarify whether refusing modifications was the owner's policy. My parents and I canceled our entrées and left very disappointed. What bothered me most was having to insist repeatedly without getting a direct conversation or an explanation beyond texture. We arrived excited and left feeling unheard.

Returning after more than a decade: the wonderful food survives, but the dining experience does…read morenot. I first discovered Bangkok Bangkok after moving to Miami 33 years ago and probably dined here 30 times over the following 15-20 years, usually with my husband and occasionally with groups of friends. It was widely regarded as one of South Florida's best Thai restaurants. It was expensive for us, so we came every few months when we wanted a genuinely special meal. And special it was. There was nearly always a crowd waiting at the entrance. The dining room was full, with tablecloths, cloth napkins, fresh orchids, Thai art and soft music. The lovely servers wore elegant traditional Thai dresses, and their gracious service and tableside presentations made dinner feel like an occasion. I hadn't been back in at least 10-12 years, but when choosing somewhere special for my new husband's birthday, I thought immediately of Bangkok Bangkok. He had never been, and I couldn't wait to introduce him to it--especially my old favorite, Little Big Man. That whole fried snapper was once the most expensive dish on the menu at $25; it is now $45. The rest of the menu has risen accordingly, but I was prepared to pay for the Bangkok Bangkok experience I remembered. Unfortunately, that restaurant no longer exists. The space is perhaps one-third its former size. We arrived shortly after 6:30 on a Friday evening and found only one diner in the restaurant. A casually dressed man in a worn T-shirt told us to sit wherever we wanted and dropped two menus on the table. The little room was stark and brightly lit, with bare faux-wood tables, paper napkins, inexpensive rolled silverware and a tired sprig of chrysanthemum in each bud vase. Instead of soft background music, an oldies radio station played 1980s music interrupted by advertising. I have eaten in more inviting food courts. No other dine-in customers arrived during the hour-plus we were there, although a couple of takeout orders were collected. The heartbreaking part is that the food remains very good. The $16.95 beef satay was tasty and fun to grill tableside, although both the beef skewers and accompanying sauces seemed smaller than I remembered. The beef Massaman curry--$23.95 in the restaurant, versus $22.95 for beef through the restaurant's online ordering menu--was delicious and spiced exactly as requested. Little Big Man was still divine. The whole fried snapper was brought out sizzling, carefully deboned tableside and finished with the wonderful Thai sauce that makes this dish memorable. At $45, however, the fish was rather small. We were also pleased to find a respectable $34 bottle of red wine. Service was functional but completely lacking the graciousness that once distinguished Bangkok Bangkok. The wine cap was unscrewed and a little poured into each glass; we served the rest ourselves. When we took some curry home, we were handed a clamshell and packed it ourselves. Then the bill arrived with an automatic 18% service charge. Our total was more than $150. I don't object to spending $150 on an excellent birthday dinner with beautiful surroundings and attentive service. But this felt like premium special-occasion pricing attached to a bare-bones takeout operation with a few tables in front. As delicious as the food was, we couldn't wait to leave--and it made me genuinely sad to compare the experience with the Bangkok Bangkok I remembered. The kitchen has survived, and I'm glad it has. We may try the food again as takeout. But I can no longer recommend Bangkok Bangkok for a celebration or an enjoyable evening out. Go for the food, particularly Little Big Man and the Massaman curry--not for the dining experience.
