Sam was beyond nice--genuine, attentive, and constantly checking in without ever being overbearing. He made sure everything was perfect the entire time. Highly recommend this place! The food was excellent, especially during happy hour -- $8 each for lumpia(egg roll), siomai, and sushi, which is an amazing deal for the quality. Everything was fresh and delicious. The owner was also there and kindly gave us some free sushi, which made the experience even more special. Great service and very welcoming atmosphere. Went there last week to be EXTREMELY disappointed with the food. Their Papaya salad was the worst I had ever had. It had lettuce, tomatoes and you could count the number of "Papaya" strands in one hand. I ordered Shrimp Basil & Chili and got shrimp in some sauce with VEGTABLES!!! read more

Beautiful and spacious, family style. Food was good, my favorite was the tempura shrimp & veggie appetizer. Also had the red curry with tofu, it was good but i've had better. Although this restaurant says it's Thai and Japanese fusion, it leans more towards the Japanese side. I regret not choosing a Japanese main dish. The service was average considering it was an early dinner (6:30) and it wasn't busy. The Thai donuts were also good crispy, fluffy, not greasy. read more

An exceptional find. I took my mom here for lunch and we were blown away. The owners, Evelyn and her husband, are incredibly courteous and have created a clean, welcoming environment. Words alone cannot express the experience that I had at Siam Palace. Chef Nino not only creates an amazing dining spectacle that makes your taste buds question what truly is your favorite food. With an atmosphere and service that makes you feel as though you are a royal. I have had many fine dining, and casual restaurant experiences but nothing beats how Siam Palace makes you feel at home. I tried food I never would have thought of and even had Chef Nino come to the table and great my family and I and introduce us to what the place is all about. We spoke about the restaurant and his experiences as a chef and may I just say I will 100% be coming back as long as this place is open or as long as I'm alive. This was my first time coming here, our server was very attentive and kind. We ordered the Red Curry, Bagel Roll, California Roll and spring rolls. The Bagel Roll and California Rolls came out OK, nothing spectacular about them. I'm giving low stars for this review because when we ordered the Red Curry, it came out tasting bland and as though it had no flavor added to it. Siam Bistro serves this dish much better, you can pick how spicy or hot you would like the red curry. I told the server and he took back it to the kitchen so they can fix it and instead the flavor was more salty. Siam Bistro is a much better spot for Thai food -- highly recommend this place instead! They are a little slow when it comes to service but the food is excellent and more authentic Thai food. read more

Siam Palace is back!!!! For many years, we used to eat here every week and the food was absolutely fabulous. Then a couple of years ago,and a couple owners after Cynthia, the food and service quality went down hill. We were so disappointed that we didn't come back again. I just saw that it is under new ownership so we gave it another chance and the chef and the food are fabulous! Very generous portions, beautifully crafted, and outstanding flavors! The Panang duck was divine! The pad Thai was also delicious. Whether you haven't been here in a while or you've not had the pleasure to eat here you need to go - go to dinner tomorrow! My Grandson & I went to dinner at Siam Palace (9999 SW 72nd St) & I have to share this, I've never had better shrimp Pad Thai which overflowed with shrimp (NEVER have I said that about another restaurant's dish). My Grandson had chicken Pad Thai & he raved about it. The abundant amount of food enabled us to take home the same amount that was eaten at the restaurant. Siam Palace has been under new management since April of this year & as usual the new owners Nino & Evelyn, greeted everyone like family. Lunch or dinner, their sushi is the freshest & visually showcases Nino's artistic talents. If sushi or Thai is "your thing" like it is mine, you'll never go anywhere else. read more

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the server very friendly and helpful and the chef who is the new owner came to our table to greet us and to speak us about the menu and the watermelon after dinner small plate to clean the pallet he gifted us . It only took 31 years for us to discover this place, but at least we did! It's a typical Thai restaurant space with Good music. Our server Toya was absolutely lovely in every way. While the food remains good, Siam Palace is not a place I would return to. I ordered take out last night. I called at 5:15 to order pick up for 6. I was told that they had new equipment, so it would take longer and I could pick up at 6:30. I arrived at 6:30 and paid for my order but it did not come out until 20 minutes later. Yes, the food was fresh and tasty, but there is no reason why two dishes (fried rice and pad thai) and wonton should take that long to make. Before last night's order, I had attempted to dine in once on a weekday and once on a Saturday afternoon. Both times were within their alleged operating hours but both times they were closed and nobody would answer when I called. Due to their inconsistencies and general lack of consideration for customers, I would not recommend them and am officially removing them from my list of dining options around here. While I do enjoy the taste of the food when I can get them to make it, it simply isn't good enough to warrant the aggravation that comes with it. read more

We just had lunch at Siam Palace today and I am very impressed. The food was fresh and delicious and the bento box I ordered had a wonderful sampler of several of the menu offerings. I really enjoyed the steak teriyaki and the vegetables tempura. The gyoza was terrific and the sauces were just perfect. The restaurant is very comfortable with a quiet atmosphere which is a pleasant change from so many high ceilinged noisy places I've been to lately. Siam Palace has a very long history and it's been years since I had the pleasure to dine there. Siam Palace has a very warm and honey atmosphere and our server was one of the sweetest which is becoming very rare in the 305. We started with their sample dish which includes the spring roll, fried wonton, and curry puff which is similar to Empanadas. Everything was tasty and the sweet peanut dipping sauce really helped enhance the flavors. Next we ordered their chicken satay, which was very tender and well seasoned, one of the best satays we had in a while. For the main entree we decided on the seafood curry which came with a thick curry broth stuffed with calamari, plumped shrimps and scallops was amazing. Now came time for dessert and we ordered their Thai donuts with condensed milk dipping sauce, which was heaven. Finally I found an Excellent sushi with good quality ingredients. Unlike the other places, where the sushi rolls are loaded with rice and low quality raw fish, at Siam Palace the tuna &salmon melts in the mouth, and has a buttery and silky texture The rice in the rolls is the right rice in just the right amount, and they Don't use imitation crabmeat in the California rolls!! The curries especially the Masaman curry are excellent. The pad thai, thai rolls and the deserts are also excellent. read more

Three different times on three different days in the last few years I've driven out there (sometime in traffic) and they were closed when they advertised being open. Tonight was the third and last time. One time I went in for dinner with my gf and they said they couldn't serve us (after being seated) because they had no staff. There was one guy cooking and he was running food and seating people. Another great event was I called for delivery and the driver couldn't find the place. Two hours later they just gave up. Seems like they probably do not take care of their staff and have a high turnover. Not professional at all. read more

Siam Palace has new owners like 2 years ago. At the beginning, the consistency on the food was there. Now... hmm... not much... recipes have changed, for example the papaya salad, which was a favorite. Now this salad is more on the sour side.... as I was trying that a quick fix of palm sugar would do it... but the salad dressing is already made... and no palm sugar available, they gave me regular sugar. Regular sugar taste different on the salad.. oh well... no more salad next time. Pad Thai, flavors have changed.... missing something, but ok. Some people were dinning, a bit less crowded than before. No more cats wondering around in the parking lot! Service, ok. Some very friendly and attentive... some others... a bit lost... read more

All I am going to say is that they should update their hours here . That are definitively not open on Mondays! Call before you go. It's been a few years since I visited but I've come twice .. on a Saturday ..they closed until 5pm and on. A Monday and they were also closed despite being advertised as open . read more

I came here because of the amount of good reviews but left a bit disappointed. The restaurant is nicely decorated and comfortable. It is also clean and service was okay. We ordered miso soup... (way to salty) also ordered a ginger salad.... (just okay dressing a bit soupy) and edemame as appetizers. Chicken fried rice was good and the rice less roll (ocean beach roll ) was okay, also had their sashimi platter which had salmon, Tuna, white tuna and yellowtail.... all good except for the tuna which was a bit to hard.
