I thought I have reviewed this place already? I've been coming here awhile now. I was in the area looking for somewhere new to eat. I was shocked to find this place. And it had decent prices. Lo and behold, a real authentic Japanese place No Latin fusion, no frills. Perfect in every way! Been here throughout the year. There isn't any indoor seating. So it gets really hot out but the food is given in takeout containers. Which kinda gives me an authentic feel as well. It's located in a nice area with not a lot of traffic so it's nice sitting outside. On to the food: They have a large range of Japanese dishes Ramen: Top tier! The broth is so flavorful, and on the thick side. Which I love. I could eat two bowls but one is enough. Their katsu curry is amazing. But becareful, it comes with a lot of curry And the chicken karaage is on point! Wish I could visit more often but it's so far down south. Hope they can open another location in north Miami!

I so love this tiny little ramen shop. It is my absolute favorite for their Onigiri . I've finally tried every onigiri they have, and all are excellent but Ikura is always my favorite. The ramen is fantastic. I also finally tried them all. They are super friendly and always receive me with a smile and laughter as I struggle to decide what I want. I highly recommend. Best for pick up. There is only outdoor seating and the US1 highway is a bit too much if it can be avoided. My only issue is I want to buy everything to take home but as it is all freshly made, it doesn't store well. Despite my best effort, I can only eat so much.

This is a great little spot for a variety of Asian dishes (mostly Japanese) made to order. Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately greeted by a sweet lady who took my order and offered to make my Kimchi Ramen extra spicy (which I said yes to, of course!). It was about a 10 minute wait to get my food, which I learned is all made-to-order, including the Onigiri. The prices were reasonable and the food was delicious, with the ramen being super savory and spicy and the Ikura Onigiri salty and flavorful. I'm looking forward to trying a few more dishes including the Takoyaki, Tuna Onigiri, and Chicken Katsu.

Onigiris - Four onigiri rice balls wrapped in seaweed are packaged in clear plastic bags, each with a colorful sticker featuring cartoon characters and text such as 'Sunny Day' and 'Rainy Day.' The onigiri are arranged inside a white styrofoam container, with a small packet of sauce or seasoning included. A person's hand is visible holding the container, suggesting it is prepared for takeout or delivery.

This place was amazing! I will definitely be coming back! It is located in a tiny shopping center on a street behind US1. There is parking in the front that is a little tricky but additional parking in the back as well. They have many vegetarian options, but today I was in the mood for onigiri. They have a plum option and a seaweed option. I tried both of them, and they were both SO good! My favorite thing I ordered was the curry croquette. It was made fresh, and it was crispy and delicious. The sauce was great! The tofu with scallions was super soft and a good addition as well. The price also felt reasonable for the amount of food that we ordered to-go. The woman behind the counter was so friendly and sweet. She gave good suggestions as well as to what to order. There isn't any indoor seating, but there is some outdoor. Since it was the middle of the day and all the seating was in the sun, we took the food back to our place, but it was all still warm and delicious when we sat down to eat!

Picked up a delicious dinner for two! We ordered: Fried oysters Chicken katsu Onigiri chasu (pork) Onigiri unagi (eel) Pork belly with white rice & an egg Everything was fantastic! I had to add my pictures separately because Yelp only allows 10 photos per review now.

This is the perfect spot hands down if you're craving asian food and want to support a local business. The food is insanely good and gives you the same vibe as mom's home cooked meal.

A whiteboard features a handwritten lunch special menu with items such as gilled chicken, chicken tempura, chopped pork kimchi, and beef, along with prices. The menu indicates the offer is available Monday to Friday from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm. Additional items like fried oysters, tuna with KP mayo, and various Japanese dishes are listed below. The board is placed outdoors, with reflections of cars and the surrounding environment visible on the glass surface.

Went to Brandsmart near dadeland mall and came over here for some onigiri. I got the cha-shu, tatsuta-age, salmon onigiri. Also got their kimchi miso soup and takoyaki. In terms of onigiri I like the cha-shu the most! The cha-shu was very flavorful and not that fatty! Tatsuta-age probably next? Chicken was soft and it was kind of saucy but not really 100% to my taste. Tbh was hoping for a crunch since fried chicken but the sauce made the chicken soft. Salmon one was ok, was like just salt and cooked salmon. Will try the other onigiri but would skip buying the salmon and tatsuta-age ones. Kimchi miso soup was very flavorful. I added more water to my soup and it was still very flavorful! Would get this one again. They put a lot of kimchi inside. Was a very flavorful companion to wash down some of the rice from the onigiri. Takoyaki was pretty good but tbh I don't remember much about it. Might get them again though. No seating inside. Only outdoor seating. It's a very small place. The lady at the cash register was really nice. I saw her talking with one of their regulars that she hasn't seen in a while. Was really cute!

Onigiri Chashu, Onigiri Salmon and Onigiri with baby octopus - Three onigiri rice balls wrapped in seaweed are arranged on a clear plastic plate placed on a wooden table outdoors. Each onigiri has a different filling visible at the top: one with a white filling, one with small fish or meat, and one with shredded fish or meat. The background shows parked cars and a sunny outdoor setting.

Only took a picture of the onigiri because it was so cute - or else I would've scarfed it down like the rest of the food we tried! We meant to have leftovers but everything was so good we ate it all. In addition to the different onigiris, my boyfriend and I ordered karaage and a pork katsu curry. OMG. So yummy. The onigiris had so much filling and were so flavorful. The service was great as well! 100% going back to this place to try everything on the menu.

Onigiri Ikura and onigiri with cooked salmon - Two onigiri rice balls wrapped in seaweed are placed on a clear plastic plate outdoors. One onigiri is topped with orange salmon roe, and the other contains chunks of cooked salmon. The background includes a wooden table and some greenery, indicating an outdoor setting.

Stopped by Cafe Oriental for a quick lunch in between furniture shopping in the area, and it cured my hanger and enabled me to go on. Everything was made fresh, including the onigiri and karaage. I love that you could choose soba to be served hot or cold-- I chose cold dipping soba with tempura since it was a hot day. Service was fast and friendly, and there are picnic tables outside to eat at. Go visit!

Cafe Oriental is the only place in Kendall that serves authentic Japanese Onigiri. The prices are very reasonable as well.

Amazing little hole in the wall with home cooked Japanese dishes. Definitely don't leave without taking a few onigiri home.

Thanks to all the great reviews I couldn't resist a visit to this restaurant…read more Small and clean, the ceiling and walls are all hung with Asian inspired decor. It adds to the coziness. We were there when it opened and within minutes all tables were full before noon. The food is fantastic. The beef ramen was delicious. The beef portions were generous and the broth was bursting with flavor. The crab Rangoon appetizer was small (about 5 pieces) but so crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, I could've had 20 more. The chicken pad Thai was good but the portion was smaller than I'm used to. It was also a little too "wet", but the flavor was on point. The service was very prompt and the servers were super sweet. Great little spot. Can't wait to return to try their other goodies.

I'll start with a positive: I actually really liked the anime-themed decor. It's unique, fun, and definitely adds personality to the space. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The customer service wasn't great. It felt inattentive and unwelcoming, which immediately set the tone for the meal. We ordered two servings of crab rangoon, and I was honestly shocked at both the price and the quality. To put it simply it was the worst crab rangoon I've ever had. They tasted like they were deep-fried in old oil, with that heavy, stale aftertaste. They didn't seem fresh at all more like something pulled from a freezer and quickly dropped into the fryer. When I opened them up, there was barely any filling besides cream cheese. I couldn't find any actual crab inside, which was really disappointing, especially considering how much they charged for them. I was genuinely sad about how much money we spent on those two orders, only to be completely let down. I love supporting unique, themed spots and the anime vibe really had potential but unfortunately, the food quality and service just didn't meet expectations. I hope they improve because the concept itself is cute.
