I thought I have reviewed this place already? I've been coming here awhile now. I was in the area looking for somewhere new to eat. I was shocked to find this place. And it had decent prices. Lo and behold, a real authentic Japanese place No Latin fusion, no frills. Perfect in every way! Been here throughout the year. There isn't any indoor seating. So it gets really hot out but the food is given in takeout containers. Which kinda gives me an authentic feel as well. It's located in a nice area with not a lot of traffic so it's nice sitting outside. On to the food: They have a large range of Japanese dishes Ramen: Top tier! The broth is so flavorful, and on the thick side. Which I love. I could eat two bowls but one is enough. Their katsu curry is amazing. But becareful, it comes with a lot of curry And the chicken karaage is on point! Wish I could visit more often but it's so far down south. Hope they can open another location in north Miami!

I so love this tiny little ramen shop. It is my absolute favorite for their Onigiri . I've finally tried every onigiri they have, and all are excellent but Ikura is always my favorite. The ramen is fantastic. I also finally tried them all. They are super friendly and always receive me with a smile and laughter as I struggle to decide what I want. I highly recommend. Best for pick up. There is only outdoor seating and the US1 highway is a bit too much if it can be avoided. My only issue is I want to buy everything to take home but as it is all freshly made, it doesn't store well. Despite my best effort, I can only eat so much.

This is a great little spot for a variety of Asian dishes (mostly Japanese) made to order. Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately greeted by a sweet lady who took my order and offered to make my Kimchi Ramen extra spicy (which I said yes to, of course!). It was about a 10 minute wait to get my food, which I learned is all made-to-order, including the Onigiri. The prices were reasonable and the food was delicious, with the ramen being super savory and spicy and the Ikura Onigiri salty and flavorful. I'm looking forward to trying a few more dishes including the Takoyaki, Tuna Onigiri, and Chicken Katsu.

Our favorite Japanese in town. The couple that own it are so sweet and you can tell they put a lot of heart in their cooking! Order their onigiri you will not regret it!

This place was amazing! I will definitely be coming back! It is located in a tiny shopping center on a street behind US1. There is parking in the front that is a little tricky but additional parking in the back as well. They have many vegetarian options, but today I was in the mood for onigiri. They have a plum option and a seaweed option. I tried both of them, and they were both SO good! My favorite thing I ordered was the curry croquette. It was made fresh, and it was crispy and delicious. The sauce was great! The tofu with scallions was super soft and a good addition as well. The price also felt reasonable for the amount of food that we ordered to-go. The woman behind the counter was so friendly and sweet. She gave good suggestions as well as to what to order. There isn't any indoor seating, but there is some outdoor. Since it was the middle of the day and all the seating was in the sun, we took the food back to our place, but it was all still warm and delicious when we sat down to eat!

Picked up a delicious dinner for two! We ordered: Fried oysters Chicken katsu Onigiri chasu (pork) Onigiri unagi (eel) Pork belly with white rice & an egg Everything was fantastic! I had to add my pictures separately because Yelp only allows 10 photos per review now.

This is the perfect spot hands down if you're craving asian food and want to support a local business. The food is insanely good and gives you the same vibe as mom's home cooked meal.

Went to Brandsmart near dadeland mall and came over here for some onigiri. I got the cha-shu, tatsuta-age, salmon onigiri. Also got their kimchi miso soup and takoyaki. In terms of onigiri I like the cha-shu the most! The cha-shu was very flavorful and not that fatty! Tatsuta-age probably next? Chicken was soft and it was kind of saucy but not really 100% to my taste. Tbh was hoping for a crunch since fried chicken but the sauce made the chicken soft. Salmon one was ok, was like just salt and cooked salmon. Will try the other onigiri but would skip buying the salmon and tatsuta-age ones. Kimchi miso soup was very flavorful. I added more water to my soup and it was still very flavorful! Would get this one again. They put a lot of kimchi inside. Was a very flavorful companion to wash down some of the rice from the onigiri. Takoyaki was pretty good but tbh I don't remember much about it. Might get them again though. No seating inside. Only outdoor seating. It's a very small place. The lady at the cash register was really nice. I saw her talking with one of their regulars that she hasn't seen in a while. Was really cute!

Only took a picture of the onigiri because it was so cute - or else I would've scarfed it down like the rest of the food we tried! We meant to have leftovers but everything was so good we ate it all. In addition to the different onigiris, my boyfriend and I ordered karaage and a pork katsu curry. OMG. So yummy. The onigiris had so much filling and were so flavorful. The service was great as well! 100% going back to this place to try everything on the menu.

Stopped by Cafe Oriental for a quick lunch in between furniture shopping in the area, and it cured my hanger and enabled me to go on. Everything was made fresh, including the onigiri and karaage. I love that you could choose soba to be served hot or cold-- I chose cold dipping soba with tempura since it was a hot day. Service was fast and friendly, and there are picnic tables outside to eat at. Go visit!

I'm a girl who likes her spices but the recommendation he gave was very tolerable and most certainly enjoyable. In terms of ambiance , it wasn't crowded which I love! Rating: 5.0 Been a…read morehuge fan of the Iron Chef show since I was a kid and my favorite has aways been the Japanese Chef Masaharu Morimoto! And since experiencing his Disney Springs restaurant Morimoto Asia, I had been looking forward for him to come to Miami. This was a couple of years back during the cooler season in Miami. RESTAURANT: I just know that this location is going to be beautiful. Chef Morimoto restaurants are worldwide and so I was not disappointed to see how beautiful this restaurant was and how perfectly complemented the vibe of the Wynwood scene. The restaurant doors open to the street, which was perfect during our winter visit. Inside is an open floor plan with a variety of seating options from the izakaya style table, banquet dining against the wall, to the huge bar. There are even covered seating outside that reminded me of New York. Decor is both minimal but with burst of colors with his signature wall art and backlit panels against the wall. And ofcourse, it won't be an authentic Japanese restaurant without the a display of hyper-realistic food models which can be found as soon as you enter the restaurant to entice your taste buds. Everything just looked sleaked and clean and love the pop of green from the huge fig trees. SERVICE: Service was amazing. From the moment we entered, we were greeted and seated right away for our reservation. Our server answered all of our questions and suggested some fruity cocktails. And lo and behold, owner Chef Morimoto himself presented us with our food and torched it right infront of us! He was so polite and humble and wonderful. We watched him moved from one side of the restaurant to the other with the endurance of a guy in his 20s and he's like 60 something! He did not stop. It was such a treat to have him in our table and how he indulged us when we chanted "Iron Chef! Iron Chef!". It was an amazing experience. FOOD: The menu have the right amount of options, from finger food to ramen, sushi and not to mention the drinks. For starters, pork belly and soft shell crab bao and bbq ribs. Deliciousness! The buns warm and pillowy. The pork, so tender. But that soft shell crab...that made me want to slap someone it was so good. Flavorful, no fishiness whatsoever, crunch on the outside and just happiness on the inside. I will eat a million of these. Then my friend ordered some Yakitori fresh from the grill: chicken, pork belly, shrimp, wagyu. They were simple, fresh and so fingerlicking good. Then the ramen; tonkotsu and gyukotsu. On this cold evening, it was exactly what we needed. These two huge bowls we passed around our table of six. The broth were divine! The pork belly was so delicate that it melts in your mouth. The beef falling off the bones were so tender and delicious. Sushi rolls: spider roll and the surf and turf. The spider roll with that soft shell crab was bomb. But the that A5 wagyu surf and turf was the star of the show. It comes out as raw slices on a roll and Chef Morimoto came out and torched it himself next to our table! I don't know if it tasted spectacular because it's wagyu or because the chef himself had torched it but this was my favorite! Overall, this was the most memorable dining experience I've had in a long time. I am sure that fangirling over the Iron Chef was the main reason but it seems that everything just fell into place for us that evening. Parking was literally next door in the garage, super easy no drama. Service was next level, maybe because the boss was there but we were not going to complain. And the food, impeccable! Pricepoint is just reasonable considering the quality, quantity and the location. It is definitely worth the trip coming here and I can't wait to visit again soon to see if everything will be the same without the Chef Morimoto around. I have a feeling it will be just as wonderful.

I'll start with a positive: I actually really liked the anime-themed decor. It's unique, fun, and definitely adds personality to the space. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The customer service wasn't great. It felt inattentive and unwelcoming, which immediately set the tone for the meal. We ordered two servings of crab rangoon, and I was honestly shocked at both the price and the quality. To put it simply it was the worst crab rangoon I've ever had. They tasted like they were deep-fried in old oil, with that heavy, stale aftertaste. They didn't seem fresh at all more like something pulled from a freezer and quickly dropped into the fryer. When I opened them up, there was barely any filling besides cream cheese. I couldn't find any actual crab inside, which was really disappointing, especially considering how much they charged for them. I was genuinely sad about how much money we spent on those two orders, only to be completely let down. I love supporting unique, themed spots and the anime vibe really had potential but unfortunately, the food quality and service just didn't meet expectations. I hope they improve because the concept itself is cute.
