As soon as I arrived, I noticed clear signs directing customers to the air pressure check area. I followed the signs, waited only a couple of minutes, and was promptly greeted by Jay with a friendly smile. I explained that my rear passenger-side tire was showing low pressure on my vehicle's display. Jay quickly checked all four tires and informed me that the other three also needed air. He also took the time to inspect for any other potential issues. What really stood out was that he explained the importance of checking tire pressure at least once a month--something no one at any tire shop had ever mentioned to me before. Jay filled all four tires and advised me to return if the rear tire lost more than five PSI in a short period so they could perform a more thorough inspection. Shortly afterward, I received a Tire Health Spotlight report by email that included tread depth measurements, tread condition, and a visual diagram of the results. I was genuinely impressed. No other tire shop has ever provided that level of detail or follow-up. Based on this experience alone, America's Tire in Cerritos has earned my future business. I called on Saturday morning to confirm they could do the work; they agreed and I dropped the car off at 10:00 AM. I was told the job would take three to four hours. When I called three hours later (1:00 PM) to check on the status, I was informed that work hadn't even started. I called again five hours later, only to be told they couldn't finish the job because they lacked the parts for the rear axle. Despite knowing exactly what was needed from Friday's inspection, the shop took my car without having the necessary parts in stock. The shop then wanted to keep my car until Monday, but I explained that I needed it on Sunday. I requested a $100 discount--less than 10% of the total estimate--to cover a rental car, but I was repeatedly denied. I am frustrated that the shop accepted the job without parts, failed to provide any proactive updates, and forced me to call multiple times just to find out my car wasn't ready.

Had an experience where a different local tire shop left a small dent on my wheel in Long Beach. I had no choice but to try Alex Tires. It was meant to be. I found a tire shop that can change my air valve stems and rotate my tires without having to worry if they'll dent or damage my wheels. I ended up getting the rest of my air valves replaced two days after from my first visit. I got all four tires rotated as well. They ended up finding a nail in one tire. I asked to get it patched which was $15. Speedy and quality service. Service cost was reasonable and affordable, especially when compared to the car dealers. Daniela was kind and helpful. Another reason why I'll be a returning customer. I'd recommend this shop to anyone that cares for their rims and that wants to save money. So for 3 air valve stem replacements, all 4 tire rotations, and a tire patch, was charged for $75.00 flat (cash). Though I live in Long Beach, I'll be making my trip here for all of my tire services.
