    Pork Shoulder
    James Y.

Great little sandwich spot near Geary Avenue with options for both hot and cold sandwiches. They have a cute storefront with merch and various kitchen goods (as well as a wide assortment of their ice cream in pints!). Did not get a chance to try their ice cream, but they definitely had unique and seasonal flavours available. As for the sandwiches, opted for the pork shoulder. Service was great and it was made to order. The pork was super juicy and had really great sauces and toppings that worked really well together. It's definitely a nice spot for sandwich takeout and will definitely need to go back to try their ice cream.

Mango mojito sorbet and tiramisu ice cream in a waffle cone
    Mary T.

This review is similar to a recent Yelp elite experience. I ordered a submarine sandwich, so there are more details about it here. Yesterday, I was excited to drop by after work and visit Good Behaviour. Driving over here during rush hour was shockingly decent, likely because I avoided taking any highway from Markham. There was plenty of street parking in a fairly residential part of Toronto. I parked steps away from the business and walked over. There were a family of three people enjoying their ice cream in front of the store. I got there at around 5:30 pm. I couldn't wait to join in. I had the option of getting a donut stuffed with ice cream or two scoops of ice cream in a cone. I took a look at how yummy the waffle cones looked in the display case and knew that I needed one. I love that there are sorbet options. I mixed things up by getting one scoop of sorbet and one scoop of ice cream. I got these flavours: - Mango mojito sorbet - Tiramisu ice cream I had a mini debate whether I wanted tiramisu or cinnamon toast cereal. One of the staff members recommended the former, which was his favourite. Since I am a tiramisu fanatic, I took his recommendation and went with it. Another staff member did the scooping. He asked whether I wanted the sorbet or ice cream as the bottom scoop in the cone. I loved how much attention to detail he had. I went with the tiramisu on the bottom because it was likely heavier than the sorbet. This place has cone holders. I appreciated that detail, too. I always find it awkward to be handed an ice cream cone as I'm doing something else, such as pulling my wallet out to pay for my purchase. Although I was happily looking at al the toppings, I avoided getting them because I wanted to enjoy my frozen desserts as they were. I looked at the menu and saw submarine sandwiches. I tend to get groceries and takeout on Wednesday nights. My original thought was to order dinner along Bloor Street West. I took one look at the ingredients in the classic sub and knew that I had to have it. The man who served me my ice cream cone was kind to show me with his hands how large the sandwich was. Perfect! He ended up preparing my sandwich. He asked for my name to be safe and let me know that he'd work on it. I paid with a debit card. The place accepts credit and debit cards only. It uses Square for all transactions. I like Square because I can get my receipt texted to me. Less paper. All good! I sat outside on one of the three benches. One was already being occupied, but the other two were free. I sat staring at the large window and watched the man work on my sandwich as I consumed my sorbet-ice cream cone. The mango mojito sorbet was so good. It felt like a booze-free drink, but it sorbet format and any hangover. It was creamy and delightfully refreshing. The mango flavour was perfect. It wasn't an overly sweet sorbet, which I appreciated. I tasted hints of mint. So good and different. Moments later, the man preparing my sub asked how my dessert was. I absolutely loved what I was enjoying so far. I was perhaps fifteen feet away from him and he showed me a cross-section of my sub. It looked huge and pretty from afar. I immediately salivated. I slowly made my way up to the window. He put my sub in a paper bag and hoped that I'd enjoy it. I thanked him for all his help and happily headed to my car. I consumed the rest of my sorbet-ice cream cone in the car. The tiramisu was equally as excellent as the sorbet. It was the best tiramisu ice cream that I have ever had in my life. The flavours were so bold and rich. I have missed frozen custard stateside. This ice cream had that rich consistency that I have been longing for 1.5 years. I absolutely enjoyed what I was eating. I normally don't think much of the cone, but the waffle cone was scrumptious. It wasn't sweet. It was crunchy. It was so good that I was genuinely sad when I ate the entire thing. I had my sub when I got home. It was well past 8 pm when I chowed down. My classic sub wanted to bust out of the paper keeping everything intact. It looked beautiful. It was stuffed with so much goodness. Soppressata. Genoa salami. Mortadella. Prosciutto di parma. Prosciutto cotto. Provolone. Giardiniera. Iceberg lettuce. Such an unexpected spelling bee for me, except for the last one! This sub was delicious. The flavours worked so well. Every bite was so good that I easily ate the whole thing. I haven't had anything quite like it for years. I am craving trying the rest of the subs on the menu. My tummy was so happy. This experience was special and enjoyable. I want to get pints of ice cream and sorbet, too. I am such a fan of Good Behaviour that I will return for more. (361)

The owners are super friendly and I felt welcomed as soon as I walked in. I'd seen photos of the submarine sandwiches a few times and they looked so appetizing. Since I was already at the store we ordered a spicy Italian sub to share. This submarine sandwich is filled with spicy capicollo, genoa salami, soppressata (Italian dry salami), provolone, calabrian chili spread, spicy giardiniera (pickled vegetable relish), and arugula. It comes with tomato, red onion, mayo and sub dressing. I didn't think that half a sub would be so filling but it was. I enjoyed the slight spice in the sub and all the flavours went so well together. We did find that the dressing leaks as you eat the sub so be careful you don't get any of it on yourself, have a napkin close by. On the menu there is a lunch combo with half a sub, bag of Miss Vickie's chips or potato salad or coleslaw and a canned pop or water if you don't think you'd be able to finish a whole submarine sandwich. There's a few benches outside to wait for your order or enjoy your food on. I'd love to try the moose tracks ice cream next time.

3.5 Came here with my siblings and got my brother a double scoop. We were lucky that we came at that time as there was only one person in line and when we started to order, a small line formed right behind us. The employee very friendly and patient while we decided on what to order as there were so many cool choices to pick from. Ice cream wise, it tasted good but not something that I would necessarily go out of my way to get unless I was in the area. The reason why I gave this a 3.5 was because while we were ordering, we saw numerous flies flying into the store and landing on the exposed ingredients. The open window is indeed a neat concept but not a good idea from a health and food safety standpoint. I hope something can be done to prevent this from happening again.

To summarize, Good Behaviour Ice Cream in a few key words: delicious, high quality, amazing, attention to detail. I've been there twice and have tried several of their flavours. They use natural ingredients and real fruit pieces like pineapple (for pina colada) and strawberry (for strawberry cheesecake.  The strawberry cheesecake has actual cheesecake in it baked by them! Talk about quality! They serve ice cream and sorbet in a cone or cup. Starting 2021-06-25 at their Christie location, they launched "ice cream donuts", a scoop or ice cream inside a donut and heated in something that looks like a waffle maker. Not only is the ice cream delicious, the donut is also delicious and filling! These cost $6.75. I got the ice cream donut with Chocolate Moose Tracks. They put chopped peanuts on top. Warning, it will start melting in 24C temp after about 3 mins. They currently have 13 flavours to choose from. Their 2 sorbet flavours are vegan. They have "popups" at Christie and Kensington that will run through the summer. This Westmoreland location is the permanent location. They also sell 9" subs at this location, priced 11 to $14 and sides for $3. Their ice cream pints cost $12. There is a lunch special (Tue-Fri 11:00-14:00) consisting of a half sub, a side, and pop/water, for $9. There are 3 benches to sit outdoors. There is easy listening radio music and even a dog water bowl. They only accept credit and debit, no cash. There is no free WiFi. The place is wheelchair accessible.  There are no customer washrooms. Been on my to try list for a while and did not disappoint. Located on a side street. Staff were very nice and order was done quickly. Had the classic sandwich which is basically the size of a sub. It was excellent and filling. Will definitely be back to try some other items.

When I was a kid, I'd get small rewards for being good. Get good grades? Here's a prize for you! Helped mom cook or dad wash the car? Here's a small treat! And without fail, my requested treats always involved ice cream. I loooove ice cream. Which leads me to Good Behaviour. Smooth, not overly sweet, good chunks, and flavours that are distinct. Oh, and those toppings are loaded up and generous and accentuate the flavours even more. Favourite one was easily the tiramisu. But really, everything is great given how the flavours pop. The kid in me definitely thinks Good Behaviour is a worthy reward for good behaviour.

Spotted this place while walking North from the Dufferin Mall. Its North West of Dufferin and Dupont. Kind of a hidden gem, its not really in a restauraunt area or commercial area, but seems to be surrounded by industrial buildings. It's mainly setup as a take-out area but they have some picnic tables out front and a small seating area within. They have alot of freshly made deli sandwiches, but as it was the heat of winter I opted for the ice cream. You can get it in a cup or cone like most places, or pint, but they have a rotating list of flavors so make sure you check their website, IG or call them to confirm your favorite is still there! I opted for the Ice Cream Donut, basically a filled donut, with a scoop of ice cream within, and then its heat pressed to seal the donut within, heated the donut but keeping the ice cream inside cool. Definitely worth a try!

    Classic Combo Submarine
    Hannah M.

After seeing a photo of one of their submarine sandwiches on Instagram a few months ago, I knew I absolutely had to try it out for myself. I finally got around to ordering one of their classic combos, which came with a side and a drink. Firstly, the size of the submarine is HUGE!!!! Subway could never. It's also absolutely delicious and super super filling. Half a sandwich makes me feel stuffed because of how many toppings are inside. I also ordered a side of potato salad, which was delicious!!! I don't typically like potato salads that much, but this one was really good. I will absolutely be ordering from here again!

Stopped by Good Behaviour for some treats. I prefer this spot over the Queen Street location as it has a more spacious outdoor hangout area to enjoy their offerings with friends. The service was friendly and quick. We enjoyed scoops of ice cream during our visit. I had the strawberry cheesecake, which was absolutely delicious, especially on a hot day. They also offer subs and other ice cream treats. Overall, a great place to spend time, eat ice cream, and relax for the summer.

Newly opened ice cream pop up here for the next 5 months. They have an interesting assortment of flavours that I'm sure rotates daily. You can also grab pints to go. We were able to try out a couple flavours - strawberry cheesecake, tiramisu, honey nut cereal and afternoon tea. Afternoon tea was earl grey, lemon scone and I believe orange peel. The strawberry cheesecake also had a lemony taste to it as well. Really enjoyed the tiramisu as you could actually taste coffee with it. Would describe honey nut cereal as the lightest flavour. Love how they give you wooden spoons. They offer waffle cones or regular cups

Got Torta Della Nonna ice cream: Pine nuts, shortbread, lemon & ricotta. It was good - the shortbread was still crispy, which was amazing & spoke to the freshness of the ice cream. The flavours were blended well together & balanced They have donut ice cream sandwiches as a summer seasonal item

So excited when I found out this new ice cream shop offers ice cream doughnut sandwich! I got the HK Milk tea (such strong flavours) and the lemon +shortbread cookies icecream, both in doughnut sandwiches. It was very yummy, great combinations. If you eat it too slow the doughnut soak up the melted icecream. One Sammie is actually alot for me. Great for sharing too (they cut in half). Will be back for their strong, delicious icecream!

I popped in, sat at the counter, and was greeted immediately by a pleasant woman who took my "to go" order and told me the sandwich would be ready in just a few. While I was waiting, she kindly asked if I needed anything to drink. I declined. Shortly after I took home perhaps the best cubano sandwich I ever had. The warm sandwich had a perfect balance of ingredients. The Cuban bread with a thin crispy crust and soft inside made for a perfect mouth-feel. Absent was globs of mayo and mustard, flavors that often override the real stars of the show, the roast pork and ham. In it's place was a light dressing that complemented the meats perfectly. I've had Cubano sandwichs in Miami and NYC. The Cubano served up at LaCubana is as good, if not better. The only shortcoming: malta (a non- alcoholic malt beverage, popular in Puerto Rico and Cuba) wasn't available.

Return I did on a recent Saturday and we showed up just as they were opening up for the day, which meant we were able to snag one of the two outdoor tables available. It's a small menu, so ordering the Pastrami sandwich was a no-brainer. We also grabbed a small order of the Coleslaw to try. The food was ready to go within minutes. It's a great sandwich. The meat is super tender and perfectly complemented by the fresh bread and tasty mustard. Do I wish the spicing on the meat were a little more prominent? Yes, definitely, but it didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the 'wich. The coleslaw is great, too. I'll surely be returning very soon.

It's a take out deli sandwich shop focusing on quality ingredients with a multitude of sides you can choose from. Other than their sandwiches, you can also purchase deli items like pastrami spice, beef salami, or half sour pickles. I've been waiting for Linny's Luncheonette to open since last year! When I dined at Linny's in Dec 2024, the waiters had hinted that there would be sandwich shop next door. I arrived at Linny's Luncheonette around 11:30am on their opening day (May 9th). The place was busy with customers coming in, however, the service was fast and efficient as chef David Schwartz stood by to make sure everything was running smoothy on the first day. In terms of the decor, think deli retro vibes! The interior is cute with bright orange countertops and a mirror on one side of place to make the space appear bigger. There are a variety of random candies and chips on display you can also purchase. The menu consists of sandwiches - pastrami, potato and pickle and smoked fish, as well as sides (knish, coleslaw, potato salad, karnatzel, cookie). I ordered a pastrami sandwich and a small side of potato salad. My order was made at a reasonable time (less than 5 min) and service was friendly. There isn't any seating inside the restaurant but there are a few chairs outside and 2 small tables. The great thing is that Linny's Luncheonette is located along Ossington so it isn't hard to find a table close by the place. I decided to head to the park to eat my sandwich. Foodwise...the pastrami sandwich was deliciously amazing. I loved the pastrami at Linny's so I knew that Linny's Luncheonette would be the same. The pastrami had the perfect meat to fat ratio...which made it oh so tender and juicy! I am not a huge fan of pastrami to begin with but...I would come back for this sandwich again and again again. Anyways...back to sandwich, the bread held the meat together well where there was a hint of mustard spread as you took each bite. I got sad when I reached my last bite. The potato salad was also great, not too creamy with sizeable chunks of potato. Overall, a great new addition to the Ossington strip! The pastrami sandwich is a must get here!! Can't wait to return for more in the future! (tip - go early as they can sell out)

And it pains me to write this review about the bad quality of their entrees. I've been to Naomi twice. The first time I bought the Salmon bibimbap and the second time I bought the Chicken teriyaki. The pictures looked really really good so I opted for them, but both dishes were disgusting. I was really thrown off by how quickly they were able to prepare both dishes. Under 5 minutes?!?! It seemed almost too good to be true. When I opened the container and took the first bite of the meat, I fully understood why. Naomi uses canned meats. For some people, this is okay, but I really could not stand how "plastic" the chicken felt. The meats weren't even seasoned, rather covered in mediocre sauces. The teriyaki sauce wasn't even teriyaki sauce... it was a transluscent orange with a syrupy consistency. The bibimbap was also poorly done. There was no sunny side up egg, and the only veggies consisted of bland bean sprouts, overcooked carrots, and boiled spinach. Although, the "gochujang" sauce was not bad. However, my friends have all claimed that Naomi's sandwiches are extremely tasty, but after my two bad experiences, I'm probably not going to come back. TLDR: don't get any entrees. Stick with the cafe classics.
