A Truly Exceptional Family-Owned Framing Shop Gonzalez Framing is one of those rare family-owned businesses where you walk in as a customer and walk out feeling like part of their family. From the moment we arrived, they took the time to walk us through every option, explain the details, and make sure we felt confident in every decision. We brought in a very old, delicate map that we were honestly nervous to hand over to anyone. They immediately put us at ease. Their knowledge, equipment, and genuine care made it clear the map was in the right hands. It had some damage, and they went above and beyond, color matching and restoring it so beautifully that once it was framed, you'd never know anything had been wrong. We also had several older, sentimental paintings framed, and they treated each piece with the same level of respect and attention. The results were stunning. They remembered us, remembered our pieces, and made the whole experience feel personal. Everything was finished on time, the craftsmanship was outstanding, and the care they put into their work is something we'll treasure for the rest of our lives. I would highly recommend Gonzalez Framing to anyone who wants their art handled with skill, heart, and true professionalism. read more

Wow! Was the first thing I said after looking at my finished picture frame. From the moment I walked in I was greeted like family and treated like one. Yoli was able to see my vision so fast and the work was done fast and incredible. The cherry on top was when I went to pick it up my frame, and I saw it front and centered in her business. Will definitely recommend and come back. read more

As we come to the end of our full home remodel we are finding that what worked before doesn't necessarily work now especially with regard to some of our framed artwork. We had a framer where we used to live but being relatively new to Ventura we went looking for someone new. We wanted a family owned small business which is what we like to support and we found Gonzalez Framing. The owner Yolanda is wonderful as is her entire staff. My wife has a vision for everything to do with the remodel and the artwork framing was no exception. Yolanda understood the vision and our finished framed artwork piece is exactly what we wanted. Her work is exceptional and her prices very reasonable. We have other pieces that will need framing in the future and we have found our new vendor. Thank you Yolanda and team! read more

Gonzalez framing is the go to for framing in Ventura. I have brought them many things to frame, but the latest was a piece of art we bought in Italy last summer. We wanted a stand out piece above our fireplace in our dining room - and that it is! The walnut frame and museum glass is stunning. They also recommended an earthquake proof mount for the back. They're the best! read more

I love the work that they do here. I have had a number of items framed here and each one is a piece of art once they are completed. The prices are reasonable, service is excellent, the quality is excellent. I've brought sketches from Paris and recently had them framed and matted they are gorgeous. I had other less expensive prints from Paris framed and they look very expensive and elegant. It's the only shop I'd use!! 100% the best and the owner and her daughters are so enjoyable & easy to work with. read more

I have used Gonzalez Framing in Ventura for two artwork framing projects since 2022, one project being 10+ pieces, and could not be more pleased with their work. Yolanda and team are true professionals, and know how to treat the customer right. They are friendly and courteous, and always upfront about cost and time, so there are no surprises at the end. Yolanda has always taken the time to work with me to find just the right mat and frame combination. She'll make suggestions or recommendations if I am not sure, helps me work through the decision process, and never makes me feel like a moron if I have a crazy or weird idea about a mat color or frame combination. The shop's workmanship is impeccable and I always use them to get the best archival, museum-quality materials. I even had them re-frame a bunch of sub-par framing jobs on old pictures from years ago, now they are better than before and much more secure on the wall. They are not the cheapest you can go, but you can rest assured that your pictures will endure for years to come, and be as protected as possible from the effects of time. I live close by, but even if I lived a long distance away I would make the trek to have my framing done by them. I give them my highest recommendation - if you have important artwork you need framed, you will be very pleased with the work of Yolanda and team! read more

Wonderful experience. Warm customer service and highly professional work! It'll be my go-to place for all my framing needs!

I had a great experience at Gonzales Framing recently. I took some special military photos ( old) to be made into a collage for various family members. They helped me to make some critical decisions as to how to best display them. This was done for my brother, who wanted to honor our family members for their service. They took much attention to details. He should get this in the mail in a couple of days. I know he will love it! He might not have much more time left in his life, but he can enjoy these memories, as he suffers with complications of exposure to Agent Orange. The joy this will bring him is priceless. Thank you team at Gonzales Framing. They have also prepared many paintings of my work over the years and always do a bang-up jo read more

Yolanda was helpful and her daughter was super sweet.., my beautiful painting looks new again!!

I recently had two items done by Yolanda at Gonzalez Framing. One was a poster limited edition by Chicano Batman band. The framing was done and it came out beautiful. I will be upgrading the glass to UV glass. The second frame I got done was Imperium Neptuni Regis Certificate. For this particular certification I got the TRU VUE glass. It came out beautiful. I will be coming back for other projects. I definitely recommend Gonzalez Framing. Great customer service and exceptional work. Thank you Yolanda for your great service. read more

I was referred to this business by colleagues of mine after passing the bar exam. I was looking for a special frame that would be a good fit for both my home and office. They had many different sizes, styles and types of frames for me to choose from at various price points, and friendly to all budgets. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and her daughter, who by the way, drive more than AN HOUR to get to work everyday!! They were incredibly friendly and made me feel very comfortable, as if family. They did everything possible to help me decide what frame I wanted/needed and explained to me the different options in glass, frame materials, size of matting, etc. The framing took about a week and that is only because I chose a frame that was not in stock, but they were speedy in ordering the materials needed to get the diploma ready as soon as possible. I was guided by their expertise and I was not disappointed. I could not have asked for a better frame to my diploma. So many have given me compliments on it already. I am very happy with the work of Gonzales Framing and will be returning for my other framing needs. I highly recommend this business to all!! read more

Yolanda and her daughter are my go to framers. A mom and pop shop that gives you the best service imaginable!!! I have had over five pieces framed here over the past year, always delivered on time. Once, I had a vintage poster that was falling apart due to its fragile and old state, Yolanda and her team did a wonderful job in preserving the integrity of the piece. They have affordable pricing, but if you need high end customizable frames they have that as well. read more

A Place To Avoid Gonzalez Framing is a frame store that create fake invoices for goods and services that are never provided or performed. They use low quality and dirty materials that grow mold spores on framed items. When attempting to confront employees at Gonzalez Framing for a refund or for work to rectify items damaged from the store's work, the staff will be rude, avoid responsibility for the damage, blame the customer and not rectify the problem or provide refunds. Avoid this place at all costs if you value your goods you may want framed. I do not recommend anyone to stop on by or give this place a try. read more

June 2020 We came back a second time to frame another painting. The results are fantastic. We are very happy with how things turned out. The service was great and they encouraged us to shop around the many selections of frames until we found the right one. In no way were we pressured or hurried along. We highly recommend Gonzalez Framing and will undoubtedly be returning for any future projects. Thanks for reading. read more

Found this framing store on Yelp and felt confident trusting/supporting this local family owned business with something very important to us due to their great reviews, however I completely regret trusting this business to frame our canvas art. We have a signed canvas art piece we brought it into Gonzales framing, agreed on a price of $250 (just for the stretching & basic frame around the piece-no glass no backing) and trusted them to take care of our special art piece which is irreplaceable. It took two weeks to have our art framed and ready and when my partner when to pick up the piece, he immediately noticed the huge scratch in the center of it that clearly happened while our art was at Gonzales framing. When he brought this up the employee made up every possible excuse besides taking accountability for it and blamed everything else but themselves for the scratch. They 100% damaged our art piece and refused to acknowledge that it was of their doing, and there was no prior contact besides letting us know it was ready. It's obvious that Gonzales framing has very little experience with canvas. When my partner mentioned the scratch, the lady helping him tried wiping the scratch with tissue paper which further damaged the canvas and removed the shine in that area, which is right in the center. When we brought it home we noticed multiple other small scratches and the canvas totally creasing at the bottom of the piece. I would not even trust this business to repair the creasing at the bottom if they had offered. I've attached pictures of before we dropped it off with no damage and then pictures of all the damage they did to our art piece. Please DO NOT bring your canvas pieces to this business and seek out a canvas professional. I would hate for others to be completely heartbroken by an inexperienced company ruining an irreplaceable and very special item like they did to us. read more

Yolanda and her team are always so friendly and helpful!! I've been going to Gonzales Framing for approximately 3 years now and they have custom-framed numerous pieces for me with excellent workmanship and attention to detail. I've had both original canvases stretched and framed and lithos/water colors floated and framed --and all look absolutely amazing!! Some years back, when I was interested in a certain brand frame, she did not hesitate to set up an account with that vendor and now carries their line. Prices and turn-around time are reasonable---and she always works with me to find the right option at the right price point. Yolanda and team are also very generous with their time --making sure you find that right frame for your piece. I also appreciate how communicative Yolanda and team are--never do I worry about entrusting them with my pieces!!! read more

Yolanda and Gonzalez Framing were incredible. From staying after business hours to let me come by late, to delivering the frame faster than I had asked for it, she made a life long customer out of me. And she didn't charge me more than what was quoted even though the job was more complicated. Thank you Yolanda for helping me create a beautiful custom frame! read more

The folks at Gonzalez Framing were fantastic. I recently inherited a fiber art piece made by my great grandmother, and wasn't sure how to best display it. The nice lady up front (I'm sad I didn't catch her name!) spent time with me, making suggestions and helping assemble a combination of backing and framing that would really make the piece pop! The price was fair and the quality is top-notch. I got the frame back in less than a week and it was easy to hang. The uneven edges and odd dimensions of the fiber piece were no problem for these guys-- the final result looks seamless and balanced. I will definitely come back here if I need anything else framed! read more

Don't waste your time and money anywhere else...Gonzalez Framing is a family-owned business and they quality work at very reasonable prices. I took a painted canvas to Gonzalez Framing to have it stretched and framed. Since I bought this piece directly from the artist I wanted this done professionally. Yolanda helped me, she was super friendly and helpful. She presented many options for framing my canvas. We looked and several different frames and also considered other options as far as what I wanted the borders to look like etc. Yolanda helped me find a gorgeous frame that went beautifully with my artwork. She gave me an estimate that was actually lower than I expected. I have spent more just buying frames online. She told me the exact day and time my piece would be ready and she delivered. I'm super happy with my piece! I will come back for all my future framing needs. read more

I think I came here at first because they were the only shop open on a Sunday and I was impatient to get my project started. I brought in a deep display case that was falling apart and I wanted to completely replace. I talked to the shop owner about what I wanted and the size I needed. She gave me a price quote and it was very reasonable, somewhat cheaper than what I'd found online and of course since I live near Oxnard I wouldn't have to deal with shipping. I wasn't in a rush so the shadow-box display case took about 2 weeks to make (I think I could have had it done in a week if I'd needed to, but they did have to special order some of the materials). The end result was simply amazing and exactly what I needed. I'm extremely happy and would totally recommend Gonzalez Framing, especially if you have a special project you need help with! read more
