I stopped by this Gong Cha location because this almost 100 degree heat in San Antonio was melting me and this was the closest option, but you can honestly never go wrong with Gong Cha. The quality is always solid to me. The store is comfortable and the staff all provide great customer service. A big plus is that this store also closes at 10pm. I ordered: - Fat Cat Purrfect Latte Large - Original Waffle I honestly don't know the difference between the Fat Cat Purrfect Latte and something like a regular Brown Sugar Milk Tea, but I loved the name and the drink was pretty good. Not overwhelmingly sweet and you can taste the tea flavor. I didn't get boba with it so I can't speak for the quality of the boba. I also ordered the Original Waffle with no topics because I'm an extremely basic person. They do take a while to make understandably so, but not gonna lie I finished my drink and went back to my car. Then started the enginge only to realize I still have a bubble waffle being made. I came back and the team member updated me on how much time was left until it's completed which is appreciated. It was worth the wait though. It was a really good bubble waffle with a fluffy interior and crispy outside. I'd be happy coming back here again. read more

Haven't been here in awhile but had a BOGOF reward for their new Leviteas which are less sweeter & less calories. I looked at the menu online & saw they have a Matcha Levitea with Green Jelly and it's only $4 so I stopped by after the gym. There was a construction truck with a crane in front so I parked on the side by the drive-thru. I walked in and it was quiet, no piped in music but a young male employee came to the counter. I showed him my phone with the BOGOF reward & told him that I wanted the Matcha Latte. I paid for what was listed as 1 order on the kiosk & figured he'd make 2 of the same? I asked if I could use the restroom & he said it was around the corner. While he was making my drink, I went to the co-ed bathroom. I looked in the toilet & it was disgustingly dirty so I left & didn't bother using it. I waited & saw him prep only one drink but figured he was doing it one at a time. A gentleman came in with 2 little kids and said to me "Are they open?" And I said "Yeah, there's someone here." The clerk came out & the man said "Where's the menu?" The clerk pointed to the laminated menu on the counter. They used to have a lit menu board above the counter but it's gone or maybe broken? Afterwards, the clerk gave me my drink & I said "Isn't it BOGOF?" and he said "I wasn't sure what you wanted for the other one??" I think he's not very assertive working the front counter because he didn't even bother to ask me when he took my order?? Maybe he's new and/or wasn't trained? Plus, I was the only customer in the store when he took my order. I told him I wanted the same thing. He proceeded to make me another one & I thanked him. While waiting, I took photos of games, events & promos they have. Maybe it's busier in the evening when young kids hang out after school or for those events? As far as the Matcha Levitea, it was really refreshing, not cloyingly sweet & perfect for the mid-day. I'd go back for that! read more

Been seriously disappointed with Gong Cha. They started off fine, but kept going downhill--- with service and with quality of drinks. Each time I come in they are out of something. It's a gamble each time I walk in. Then, on top of that, the service is just..........well, you know how it is when GenY,Z takes over? We greet THEM when we walk in. We tell THEM thank you. Unfortunately, it's one of the few areas where we can go to get milk tea & bubble waffles---but even so, the inconsistencies with my drinks is mind-boggling. To be safe, get a fruit tea. There have been times where I pay almost $10 for my fruit tea + basil seeds + boba, but I didn't mind. At least make my drink right. *Sigh* read more

I went and I was in a rush but the staff was incredibly accommodating and got me my order quickly. There's plenty of seating inside to hang out or work. I would say their drinks run on the sweeter side when you add foam so keep that in mind. read more

I love Gong Cha! We don't one where I live so whenever I visit and see one I have to go. I just got a pearl oolong milk tea with milk foam. It tasted like regular milk tea but still really good! I wish I got 50% sweetness though since I don't like it too sweet and it was pretty sweet for 70%. Boba was good and chewy and the milk foam added a nice creaminess to it. The store itself is pretty big and clean and they even have a drive thru! I thought that was pretty cool since I feel like there aren't many boba places that do that. read more

Very clean and spacious inside with seating for about 15-20 people. They have games you can borrow in little boxes on the counter and a drive through. Tons of parking, good customer service, nothing to complain about! All my drinks have been good here, but they always seem to be out of some flavor. FIRST TIME VISIT! They have a drive thru (WOW!) but I opt to go inside for the full experience. Wasn't greeted right away although 2 workers gave me eye contact, but I didn't wait long to get helped. The worker was helpful in giving me a recommendation and educated me that my favorite jasmine tea is actually a variety of green tea. Never knew that! Assumed it was a black tea. I order the green milk tea (extra sweet!) and asked for regular boba as I'm not a fan of puddings, popping pearls and whatnot. They're out of boba. Huh? It's popular, yes. But with that understanding, you've got to have tapioca pearls available! So I go without the boba. The tea is quick to come out. Yay! This was a first time for me. It was okay. Very clean inside, i know its new but definitely seems it will be staying that way. Very nice and helpful in our selection! The drinks had a good flavor to it but both just tasted like strawberry milk..maybe that was the point but if not I definitely plan to try it again and get something different! Brand new drink stop: We were warmly greeted by employees who helped answer any questions we had and make recommendations. They have a top 10 drinks list to help you decide and an endless list of other customizable options. Sugar levels and amount of ice are customizable as well as any drinks ability to be made hot or cold. We sampled a couple different milk teas with various sugar levels and a coffee series. Everything we had was excellent. Great addition to the area. There is a drive through here- pretty unique as most Boba places don't have that option. This location is relatively new. I love Gong Cha and I haven't been to a location with bad service. Staff here is friendly, boba is fresh, and each drink is crafted with love. They also have small desserts such as cupcakes, creme brulee, and macarons. It's also spacious and has lots of seating. This location also has a drive thru if in case you want to grab something quick and don't want to go in..overall great experience will come by here again since it's near 1604. I have been here a few times before and it was really good. My favorite was the strawberry milk slush. However, I went today and it took about 5-10 minutes to even be approached let alitake my order (there was no one in front of me). Then it took about another 10-15 to actually get my order (two slush drinks and a bubble waffle cone with ice cream). The crew working though was having a great ol' time with their friends. The slushies were just ice. No flavor. I threw them in the trash. It's unfortunate but the service was definitely lacking today. read more

I've gotten a strawberry drink and a pearl milk tea from here. I've ordered inside and from the drive thru and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Both times I visited was during off peak hours so there wasn't much of a wait. The drive thru option is great if you are on the go.
