I'm so glad I found a Gong Cha! I've been working in New Mexico for the past two months and I've been missing having a boba shop on every corner. I was greeted upon entry. The shop was empty. Everything was clean. Great aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. I got my lychee oolong extra sweet and it came out perfect!

Great service and great quality milk tea. I also loved the cozy and quiet vibe in the store. Would love to come back again.

Gong Cha is Lubbock's newest boba tea shop addition, and they put in a strong start to celebrate their opening weekend with BOGO drinks. They have most of the typical flavors you'd see at a boba tea shop (brown sugar milk, matcha, some fruit green teas, etc) but not a huge selection (no hazelnut, regular Thai tea, red bean, avocado, etc) like you might expect at a Teahouse or ShareTea in a bigger city. - Taro with herbal jelly: my favorite of the drinks! If you're not familiar with taro, it's basically a starchy purple potato. It tastes sort of like sweet potato and vanilla with a bit of nuttiness. The taro drink at Gong Cha was nice and creamy, and it's worth a try if you haven't had it before. I really liked the sweet earthiness and softness of the herbal jelly in this drink and think it complimented the taro flavor perfectly! The herbal jelly floats in the drink, so don't be fooled if it looks like your cup has none. - Passion fruit yogurt slush: this was fruity and light tasting, but a bit too icy for me. The flavoring they added also separated from the drink pretty quickly as you can see in the picture taken 15 minutes after the drink was made. - Lemon ai yu white pearl: the unexpected light surprise drink! They were out of white pearls which was disappointing but subbed regular boba. As you can see in the picture, more than a third of the drink was toppings. The ai-yu jelly was like jello floating on top. I'm not sure what the white topping at the bottom was (see picture) but it was an interesting twist - less chewy than boba but more chewy than regular jello. My one complaint with this drink is that there were seeds/hard fragments in the tea (see picture) that were unpleasant to unexpectedly get. Taste wise, this drink was citrusy and refreshing; it tasted sort of like lemonade. I could see myself craving this on a hot summer day. I like my drinks less sweet, and this was plenty sweet at 30% sugar. - Caramel chocolate slush with boba: very chocolatey, this drink tasted like a brownie dessert in a cup. I didn't taste any caramel in this, just chocolate. It was a bit icy, but if you're looking for a chocolate drink, this wouldn't be a bad choice. I'm not sure I would get boba with this drink again; it would probably taste yummier with Oreo crumbles. Overall, I'd recommend the teas and regular drinks over the slush series they have. It's located in a plaza with ample parking. The shop itself is an ok size with a good amount of tables throughout. It was a bit noisy when I was there, so it's probably more of a catch up /hangout spot than a good study place. Service was ok; they were really busy when I went so everyone was a bit rushed and they didn't give me the correct order at first. I think this place has potential to be a great spot once they work out this kink from their opening weekend.

This is my favorite place to go with friends. Their boba is amazing and they have new options pretty frequently. I also like to mix drink flavors together and they let me. If you don't like sweet drinks, you can CHOOSE your sweetness and ice levels. The service is always good and most of the times I've gone, the owner is there. The area is nice, they have board games and cute little window seats if you want some sun.

I've actually come here often to study or do homework. It's never too noisy, maybe around the evening it might get louder but that's expected. The cashiers are very helpful when ordering. They offer games to ply while you enjoy your drink. They also offer different type of seating. I usually order the milk foam dirty brown sugar milk tea with boba and Oreo crumbs, it taste delicious everytime. They ask you your preference of sugar and ice which I love!

Great flavor and I love how they allowed me to mix different ones. The staff is really friendly and the service is top quality. I gave it a 4 because of the size. Being in Texas, I expected a larger large size cup. Other than the size though it is 5 stars!!!!

This place has good vibes, the games were appreciated. The drinks were okay but nothing special, won't be returning.

Nice and friendly service! Drinks taste great. I got an extra pump of passion fruit syrup!

I drank it all before the picture. That's how good it was.

I ordered the Tiger Brown Sugar Boba tea since it was recommended by one of the employees. It was…read moreokay. It was $7 for a small, and it tasted like a really sweet caramel chocolate milk. The boba was softer than tapioca boba that I've gotten at other restaurants. If I ever return, I will order 50% sweetness instead of regular. I also will probably try a different boba flavor. The amenities and decorations inside were kind of disappointing. The AC was not working well, and there was not a public restroom available. (The sign indicates this is a permanent issue, not just closed for cleaning.) Some of the seating areas were stained. There was a public refrigerator that was being used for employee/business supplies instead of products for the customers to purchase. The 1102 sign had a bunny on it, which I think is why there were Easter egg decorations everywhere. However, it felt like they hung up Easter decorations and hadn't taken the time to take them down yet. (I visited in July.) So to wrap it all up, the beverage was okay but too sweet, and the space inside was weird. Not a terrible place, but not a place I'd want to go again.

I would hire her to work for my business if i had one. I also loved the vibe!! I showed my husband how cool the decorations were in the bathroom- it looked like someone had created digital art of boba drinks and then put them up as decorations.. SO cool! I was super inspired. I also loved the lobby and seating arrangements. Told my husband we need the seating for our apartment hehe.. great experience for our first time. We moved in our daughter to Texas Tech and got boba for the trip home.. thanks for the great experience Lubbock!!

In…read morewhat feels like a classic college town, this spot delivers seriously good Vietnamese food with bold, comforting flavors that hold their own anywhere. The pho was rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying--exactly what you want on a cold day or after a long one. What really stood out was how accommodating they were with customization. Every request was met with ease, and the end result was a bowl that felt thoughtfully made, not rushed or generic. Service was friendly, the place was packed (always a good sign), and the food spoke for itself. If you're craving legit pho and flavorful Vietnamese comfort food, this spot is absolutely worth the stop--and honestly, it's a standout for the area.

The veggies were sparse which scared me but the chili oil was a very nice surprise. Not common for pho places but I enjoyed the flavor of it. The boba was also very surprisingly good (better than some other boba chains I've tried in town). There is a ton of broth. There is a bit of... depth missing but overall it's pretty solid. My friend did a create your own bowl and said there wasn't enough toppings/ meat for him so just to put that out there. Biggest downside is that the place smells pretty strongly of the nail salon next door which kind of muted my appetite at the beginning.
