You know what, I'm not huge on writing reviews, however, Jeff was the point person I initially contacted, about 4 months ago, he gave me a quote on a huge sectional to remove, his quote was 30% less then 4 other providers, still couldn't afford it being unemployed, offered me an additional discount of 15% but I just couldn't swing it even then. Texted him out of the blue 4 months later, not only did he remember me but still honored the original price with the discount. Had two guys out the very next day, both of whom were very careful with not damaging anything and even kept their masks on even after I suggested they could remove them due to the heavy lifting, I mean you can't beat that kind of service. Not to mention he traveled all the way north to Wauconda Illinois, these guys are the best. FYI estimates in order, 1-800-junk more then double 450.00 JJ Junk removal 410.00 Northwest Junk Removal 395.00 My Junk Removed 350.00 but couldn't swear to it because according to him the sectional looked massive in the picture. Gone Guys, 250.00 explained I was unemployed and Jeff was like ok 200.00 and yes it was a massive sectional but still honored the price. I did tip both guys 20.00 each but they were extremely nice, extremely careful since I have a newer home. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER SERVICE, Jeff will work with you on price if things are tough and if he can't he's honest enough to tell you his bottom line. 5 stars does this business no justice, Lawrence, Wauconda Illinois... read more

With an impending cross-country move and little desire to haul large furniture with me (or have strangers enter my home to purchase said furniture and then both struggle with getting it out to their vehicle), I decided to have a hauling service take these items away. I had reached out to another service about its ability to help on a particular date and received assurances that there was availability. When I went to confirm the time a few days prior, that availability suddenly disappeared. Stress and anxiety immediately kicked in. Thankfully, I reached out to Gone Guys. Jeff was very responsive and worked with my schedule. He provided a quote based on a list of furniture items and their dimensions. He also sent a confirmation the day prior to the scheduled pick-up, which was very appreciated. On the service date, his crew showed up about 45 mins early (awesome!). Orrissio and Conrad were great. They were professional, fast, and friendly. I was very satisfied with their service. I can't recommend Gone Guys enough. It was easy to schedule, the service exceeded my expectations, and the price was competitive. read more

Gone Guys in Glenview, Illinois- I am eternally grateful for Gone Guys, we were towards the end of our time line to move, needed last minute removal of 'stuffs' that we decided not to take with us, wanted to support local businesses. Emailed Gone Guys on 4/29 late at night, felt badly about emailing late at night yet was not expecting to hear back until next morning/day, just wanted to be one of the first emails they opened since I was looking for service on 5/1 thus not giving much time for a possible appointment. Jeff from Gone Guys emailed me back within the hour and the rest is history, after emailing him pics of items needing removed I was given an estimate/flat rate, very reasonable and a time that they would/could arrive on 5/1. I asked how many team members would be there for the removal so I would know how much bottled water to supply and how many cash tips (all my asking, experienced from our movers earlier). Gone Guys confirmed day of via email, arrived on time, were professional, very understanding and efficient! I highly recommend Gone Guys for any of your removal needs! read more

Highly recommend Gone Guys for your Cleanout and Junk Removal needs for your home, office, business and storage lockers. Gone Guys helped me get rid of a high volume of items after my recent House Purge and after I donated to local charities and thrift stores. Owner Jeff Silver was very responsive. Within a week, he provided a reasonable estimate of what it would cost to remove my stuff and his crew actually removed everything. Free at last. Depending on what you have, many charities and shelters are currently not accepting previously-owned clothing and household items due to COVID-19. There also may be a wait list or extended time when charities can come pick up at your home. Most won't accept "junk". For me, I was looking for a stress-free solution to get rid of the excess. Gone Guys did a great job. www.goneguys.com email: jeff@goneguys.com phone: 312-636-5666 #GoneGuys #JunkRemoval #Cleanouts #ClearSpaceClearMind #FreeAtLast #LettingGo #SmallBusinessMonday #SBM read more

When I needed to get several items out of my studio apt, I chose Gone Guys over the others for one specific reason: They work to re-use things that still have decent life in them. Which was important to me because one item I had was a loveseat, the fabric (faux leather) of which had deteriorated so badly, but I couldn't afford to get it re-upholstered, and couldn't find a school for upholstering to take it as a student project. My loveseat was otherwise aesthetically pleasing and structurally solid. I didn't want it to go into a landfill. Gone Guys works with a couple of area (their Glenview area) furniture refinishers / upholsterers and planned on taking the loveseat to a business that would renew it and then could be resold. So the business model Gone Guys uses is what sold them to me. They work to re-use, recycle and resell. Otherwise, the workers who picked up my stuff were on time, congenial, professional and efficient. So, kudos to Gone Guys for their style and positivity! read more

These guys are great. I asked them to move / dispose of a lot of things (mainly dishes and furniture) from a condominium. The service of scheduling an appointment, getting an estimate and getting a date were done quickly, with great responsiveness and multi-faceted depending on our preference (text, email and phone). The company came on time, were very professional, courteous and very patient with us. They were able to do what I hired them to do efficiently. Further, they stayed within the estimate they gave me, which was all done via photos sent via email, which was very convenient. I had some additional work for them, but they were honest and humble enough to not take it on because it was quite complex, but we discussed that and knew about that ahead of the scheduled date. So, they are definitely willing to sacrifice money for quality and customer satisfaction. So, my experience reflects the reviews I read here before I hired them. read more

After the INCREDIBLE experience my family had with Jeff + The Gone Guys crew, we would NEVER use anyone else. In fact, we live in an entirely different state, and I remember thinking (multiple times), I wish I could pay Gone Guys to travel south and help us with our two houses here. Professional, reliable, affordable.......but my FAVORITE part? Jeff rolling into what felt like a completely chaotic house haul (on time!!), with his FANTASTIC crew, coffee in hand, saying these words over and over to me, like a soothing mantra: "Don't worry about that.....that's my job." Anyone who has been in the overwhelming and emotional throws of packing up/removing the belongings of a departed loved one, KNOWS that it is truly a BLESSING when someone of high character, calm, and a can-do attitude enters the picture. So do this for yourself. Hire Gone Guys. You will NOT be disappointed. :) read more

I would give 1 million stars if we could! The Gone Guys were an absolute life saver! We were moving out of the state and with the chaos and emotion of finally leaving my childhood home, I realized at the 11th hour that we had a bunch of junk that needed to be hauled out. In sheer desperation, we Googled for last-minute local services which were scarce in the junk-removal industry bc of the current (2021) real estate upheaval. Then we found Gone Guys. In less than a weeks lead time, Jeff squeezed in our job. They arrived just as the movers were wrapping things up. Jeff texted an estimate and we paid via Venmo. Gone Guys were professional, fast, and respectful of our space and of our movers who were working furiously around them. We would absolutely use Gone Guys again and will enthusiastically recommend their services to our family and friends! read more

My 81 year old mother took a fall and it became evident it was time to move her out of her 2,000 square foot Condo and closer to me in Seattle. Needless to say, I was trying to manage much of the move and sale of her condo long distance and via our realtor. We sold a few pieces through Offer up, but she had a lot of stuff that had been there for over 30 years. Gone Guys were referred to us by a friend of my Mom's. Jeff came out on Mother's day to preview the items left and gave us an estimate. From start to finish he was on time, on budget and extremely efficient and reliable! Big thank you to Jeff for making this leg of the move stress free. Really appreciate you! read more

I came to Chicago from Canada to help my 97 year-old mother downsize reluctantly from independent living to assisted living so emotions were running high. We needed to both move the furniture she was going to keep and dispose of the considerable amount of stuff that wouldn't fit in her new, smaller studio apartment. Jeff and the Gone Guys were wonderful from the first phone contact with Jeff right through to the rapid and efficient job the movers did. And because I've never used such a service before I asked the professional organizer I was working with how she thought the price was. "You got a good deal" was her answer. Thanks for lightening my load Gone Guys! read more

I highly recommend Gone Guys, Jeff ,the owner of this business was very helpful and quickly responded to my inquiries. The cost was very fair for the amount of work completed. The teams helped me removing large items from my mother's condo after she passed. On my request, some items were moved to my home and other large items removed from my home. All done in one day. His staff was very professional. All items moved to my home or that could be donated or sold were carefully wrapped and handled. The men were very polite, careful, and efficient. Thank you Jeff and team for making a difficult day a little easier for me. read more

Gone Guys cleared our home of 35 years of all the accumulated stuff with the house left clean for its new owners. The estimate was very reasonable and because our friends had taken some items before Gone Guys arrived the final price was adjusted down. A crew of 6 turned up at the agreed time and took just under 6 hours to clean out a large house including 3-car garage and basement. Very efficient and each room was swept clean after all content was cleared. I would highly recommend Gone Guys to anyone who needs to partially or wholly clear a house. I can't imagine how long it would have taken us to clear the house! read more

Jeff and his team were wonderful. We had selected another estate sale clean up crew based on recommendations and a phone call with the company. When they came out to give us an estimate it was more than 3x what was originally quotes. It was a Sunday afternoon and were in a bind to get the house cleaned out that next day. We called Jeff and he met us that day at 5pm, provided an estimate within an hour and were there the next day to get the job done. They will take and dispose of anything from paint to old TV's to furniture and clothing to recyclables. It was a pleasure doing business with them. read more

I My neighbor recommended them, and it was wonderful. This job was clean out my elderly mothers house after we moved her, for the closing. Jeff came out for the estimate on my timetable and was very upfront about the cost, which was very reasonable. They sort out the recyclables, donations, and throw outs while they are removing the stuff. I was so impressed with his staff working with him, very courteous and conscientious of what they were moving/packing. It all went so smoothly, it really helped to ease such a stressful situation I was going through. read more

Jeff was so quick to come to my home to provide a quote --one that was specific & far fairer than his competitors. He also offered a variety of pickup dates & was extremely flexible to send a truck when I had forgotten one item in my garage. His skilled team took care with larger items to ensure no nicks or scratches on walls etc. when removing them. They also disassembled items when needed. These Gone Guys even hauled up 2 flights of stairs the world's heaviest picture tube tv. You too will be amazed & impressed with their speed & attention to details! read more

I'm delighted to have found Gone Guys. I needed a pile of bricks, roof shingles, cement blocks, and clay pots removed from my backyard. Where this company excels is in its communication. Jeff responded right away and gave me an immediate quote from the photo I sent. He offered to pick it up that day, but our driveway had just been repaired and that wouldn't work. The next week when I suddenly realized that I had to have the stuff removed by the next day Jeff got his guys there early the next morning. They were great! I highly recommend this company! read more

It's nearly impossible to find furniture pick up these days but Jeff and his amazing crew were recommend to me by my real estate agent and I wish I knew about them sooner. They were quick, efficient, polite and easy to deal with scheduling and with payment. We had new rugs installed yesterday and I can't begin to tell you how careful the guys were taking their shoes on and off to do the moving (knowing I was concerned with all this snow). I will definitely be using Gone Guys in the future and telling all my friends on the North Shore! read more

My mom was selling her condo and downsizing. She needed to get rid of a lot of large, heavy furniture pieces, and tons of miscellaneous items she no longer needed. Jeff was wonderful to work with and his team of guys that came to remove everything was fantastic. They were professional, careful, quick, and courteous, and made a difficult move a whole lot easier for my mom. And the price was very reasonable. I would recommend Gone Guys to anyone and will definitely use them again in the future. Amazing experience! read more
