This summer we finally got there and it was worth the drive an hour east of Edmonton. A really awesome small town Alberta bar that has been converted into something special... Bruce Steak Nights are this word of mouth phenomenon around my circles. The steak is perfect.. .very obviously local and fresh, seasoned and cooked to perfection. To be honest I found the hot sides and dessert offering very average. Good, just forgettable. The real star of the buffet table is the salad bar. There has to be 12 - 15 different homemade salads that remind you of the ones your grandmother or favorite aunt would make. I couldn't fit all the salads I wanted to try on to one plate, had to go for a second helping of salads! Service is small town friendly, everyone is having a great time. Just a perfect little road trip for an excellent Alberta dinner. So grab a Pilsner from the bar, fill your plate and enjoy. This ones not to be missed!
