We sat and ordered at the table and the staff member was very friendly and kind. She explained different items for us newbies. We got papusas, beans, and fried plantains. It was all made fresh, hot off the griddle. And it was all very delicious. I got one steak and one chicken papusa and they were both great. Next time I am going to try one of the many other combos of meat and veggies. They also had platters and lots of other dishes on the menu. I look forward to exploring more the next time I eat here.

We took a bunch of stickers that helped us track down the restaurant, Salvadoreño. There are a few locations for convenience. I appreciate the multiple pupusa options, from pork, steak, chicken, shrimp, bacon, pepperoni, and mixed, to vegetarian options: loroco, spinach, bean, squash, garlic, cheese, mushroom, potato, jalapeño, and flor de calabaza and even vegan options! The 3 combo option was $14.95. In order from my favorite to least favorite: 1. asada y queso, 2. revuelta (chicharrón, queso, y frijoles), and 3. Chorizo. My biggest complaint is that I'd like to have more meat in my pupusas! The rice and plantains were tasty. I'm not the biggest fan of Curtido (pickled slaw) , but in general. Will definitely return the next time I have a pupusa craving!

We both love Latin and Asian cuisine so the menu seemed to fit our palate Was seated pretty quick and they handed my gf a rose. Got me extra brownie points for sure (told her I arranged that jokingly lol) The vibe is awesome a dimly lit jungle vibe for the Peruvian inspiration. Good music not too loud like other "high end" spots in Scottsdale that try to do too much. They also had a fire performer in the middle of our dinner which added to the ambiance. We sat inside but the outdoor seating also looked nice. During the day this place would have great views of the golf course I imagine. Onto the food, oysters were great quality, fresh but still briny. Had a pineapple mignonette that complimented well. My gf doesn't like oysters but these were small enough for her to enjoy with the added sweetness. Calamari was also solid, had a great chipotle aioli and ginger scallion oyster sauce on the side. The salmon ceviche was a bit of a let down. More like a crudo if you ask me, but still great flavors. Cocktails were great too! The corn mezcal was super unique. Not the biggest mezcal person but it sounded too good to pass up and definitely glad I tried it. My gf got the pisco sour and it was perfectly tart but refreshing. For mains we got the Lomo Saltado and Salmon. Both were great, Lomo Saltado was super tender and had great flavors. Same with salmon, nothing too unique but still on point Overall all the food was very well seasoned and flavorful. Nothing lacked. Cocktails were good. Service was a bit slow but our waiter (forget his name) was very professional and fun. Gave a ton of recs and was very animated. Worked there for 4+ years if I remember correctly and it showed. Awesome dude! Overall 4.5/5 would come back, maybe during the day to enjoy the views outside

That being said, service was very slow and the food was lackluster. I had the recommended pork and scallops, my wife decided on the lobster fried rice. The pork was basically chunks of pork fat, nearly inedible. The scallops were ok, ended up just skipped the pork. The lobster fried rice was better, but small portions and a very small lobster serving made us wonder how this dish cost $49. We hoped me might finish with a dessert to pick up the mood after a lackluster meal. The salted carmel brownie we decided on wasn't great; tasteless and bland, it just wasn't worth it. All in all, for a two person, $300 meal, there are much better options. Would not repeat and certainly would not recommend.

I tried three dishes: the Baleada con Carne, the Empanadas, and the Carne con Tajadas and every single bite was incredible. The Baleada con Carne was perfectly balanced, soft homemade tortilla, refried beans, chorizos with egg, creamy avocado, melted cheese. It reminded me of a Mexican burrito but with its own delicious Honduran twist. The empanadas were crispy on the outside and packed with rich, seasoned filling and that Carne con Tajadas (steak and plantain chips topped with cabbage, crema, salsa, and pickled onions) was something else, like loaded nachos but with Honduran flavor. The service was also stellar. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and genuinely proud of their food. You can taste the love in every dish. If you love Mexican food, you'll definitely fall in love with Honduran cuisine here, rich, comforting, and full of bold flavors. Whether Latino or just love authentic Central American food, this is BEST in Valley.

The food was nostalgic and soul-warming, even though it was my first time at a Honduran restaurant. My partner ordered a baleada con carne and a cheese pupusa and also enjoyed his meal. In terms of service and ambience, the other review about the place being "overall lackadaisical" is 100% spot on, though the care put into the dishes themselves helped make the overall experience still generally quite pleasant.
