Tacos Los Vales is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for authentic street tacos with a great salsa bar and a welcoming atmosphere. The birria taco was the standout. It was packed with flavor, and the shell had a light crispiness that complemented the tender meat well. I personally would have liked the shell a little crispier, but it was still excellent. I'd rate it 4.5/5. The asada taco had a uniquely crispy corn tortilla that I really enjoyed. While the steak wasn't heavily seasoned, it had a great char-grilled flavor that made up for it. I'd give the asada 4/5. The adobada taco was the only disappointment. The pork was tender, but it lacked the bold, marinated flavor I usually expect from adobada. It mostly just tasted like pork without much seasoning. I'd rate it 3/5. One of the biggest highlights was the salsa bar. It was clean, well-stocked, and had a great variety of fresh toppings. The red salsa definitely brings some heat, but it's balanced with good flavor instead of just being spicy. The customer service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant has a great family-friendly atmosphere. There's also a bar area if you're looking to relax with a drink while you eat. Overall, I'd definitely come back to work my way through more of the menu. The restaurant is clean, with plenty of seating options, and the bar area is nice. You order at the counter, pick your seat, and they call your name when your food's ready. We went on a Thursday night and there was a pretty long line, but we actually got our food fairly quickly, which I appreciated. The salsa bar had lots of options and it's self serve. Everything looked clean and fresh. I'm a big condiments girlie, so I loved having the variety but none of the salsas really had a kick. I was hoping for something with some real heat, and they just didn't bring it. Now, the part that fell short for me was the food quality. The queso taco and burrito were drenched in oil, so much that you could literally see it shimmering from across the room. And why did the adobada look like it was made with Hot Cheeto coloring? It looked unnatural, and you'd think that bold color would at least mean bold flavor... but it didn't. The carne asada vampiros were good, but nothing to write home about. We finally checked out Tacos Los Vales after seeing the yummy food posts on their social media... and wow, so good! The place smells amazing as soon as you walk in, the vibe is fun with music playing, and everything is super clean. The menu is displayed on big TV screens, with each item listed in Spanish and an English description below.... really helpful if you don't speak Spanish. The staff were super friendly, and the self-serve condiment bar is a great touch with fresh toppings like salsas, guac, and pickled onions. I had the Vampiro tacos and my husband got the burrito. We both loved our meals, though next time I might go for regular tacos instead.... the cheese made it a little too greasy for me. He preferred the carne asada, while I was all about the birria. Don't think. Just go here! If you want great tacos, burritos or quesadillas this place is a hidden gem. We walked in and we were instantly greeted with smiles- they were so happy we were there! I mean, really? There wasn't a line when we ordered, but once we sat down there was a flock of people and then the line was almost going out the door. We got carne asada tacos and a carne asada quesadilla, Mexican coke and Horchata. All delish! This place is super modern and clean inside & they were blasting the music when we got there. The vibe was fun. Salsa bar had tons of options and everything was super fresh. And my fave- the limes were juicy, not dry! The area is not the best for this location, but honestly it's beautiful inside. Even a little abuelita outside selling little things like I was at a Mexican market. We were impressed and will be back for sure! This place felt like home. This is hands down my favorite taco spot!! I was scrolling through tik tok when this place was brought to our attention. Their posts of warm, meaty, cheesy tacos and burritos were too tantalizing to ignore. We went in around 9pm on a Monday and it was packed as if it were peak lunch hours. My husband was having a hard time deciding on which taco to get so he ordered one of each and a cup of birria consomé with meat. I went for two birria tacos, birria consomé, and I just HAD to order the burrito huérfano (basically the regular burrito- meat, guac, onion, and cilantro- but wrapped in a blanket of melted cheese). We loved everything!! I urge you, if you think chipotle or taco bell has a good burrito, this place's burrito puts them deservingly to shame. Even other authentic taco spots don't come close to this establishment. The quality of their ingredients, the fact that they weren't stingy when packing our plate, and the prices are in par with other fast food restaurants- but Taco Los Vale beats the competition! Even our picky toddler devoured his taco de carne asada and half of my birria consomé. We all happily slipped into a food coma after. Though it was quite the drive from our home, it was worth the journey! If you have come across their videos on social media, we must tell you that there is no false advertisement here. I didn't want to grab a photo as it was busy with people eating -- a great sign for almost 3pm on a Sunday! I got 2 carne asade tacos and added guac salsa and pico at the loaded salsa bar. I will definitely try all the salsas next time! The tacos were great and fast! They also have birria tacos and consomme, quesadillas in 2 sizes, and you can choose flour or corn tortillas on most items. Definitely worth stopping in! They have a full salsa bar with guacamole and other toppings. My only complaint, but it doesn't change me rate, my chips were getting soggy from the birria juice and queso. We also got chips on the side but still ate the soggy ones. The horchata was yummy and they only offer one size drink. The place is a sit down but it gets crowded. I was there with 2 other people and all of us had to take some to-go. I had the carne asada quesadilla and a burrito. The rest of the group ordered nachos tacos and a couple other items. We all ended up sharing all of it and still took some home. They had a condiment bar with 3 salsas to choose from and other items that are common to add to Mexican tacos.
