Gavin was an excellent communicator, keeping me informed every step of the way and making sure I always knew what to expect. He was responsive, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure we were satisfied with the outcome. The team also made the insurance process seamless, helping coordinate everything and making what could have been a stressful situation much easier to navigate. The quality of the work was outstanding. Paul Gonzales and his flooring team did an excellent job on our floors, and Albert did a fantastic job matching our Venetian plaster. The attention to detail throughout the project was impressive, and everything blended beautifully with the existing finishes in our home. What impressed me most was their commitment to customer satisfaction. When I had a few concerns, they were more than willing to come back and make sure everything was addressed to my satisfaction. It's clear they stand behind their work and truly care about their customers. I highly recommend Vintage Reconstruction. Their professionalism, communication, craftsmanship, and dedication to doing the job right set them apart. Thank you to Gavin, Paul, Albert, and the entire team for a job well done!

First of all, it's my pleasure to add a five-star review based on my recent experience with Excel…read moreRoofing & Contracting. I would rarely talk to a rep who knocks on my door, especially when I previously had another roofing company that I was satisfied with the last time we experienced a bad hailstorm. I am not surprised the roofing reps circulate storm-damaged neighborhoods. It's no different than trial attorneys reaching out to accident victims. It's a marketing practice. The former chases storms, whereas the latter chases ambulances. Nothing out of the ordinary there. Then I met Jody, a new rep they recently hired. Since I normally don't even talk to door-to-door reps, I usually politely dismiss them without appearing too grumpy. However, he convinced me to at least consider the possibility of scheduling an appointment because part of the inspection included looking for collateral damage. Ryan, the owner, came out and impressed me with his knowledgeable and professional approach. He showed me how my previous roofer made some shortcuts by not completely removing the underlayment. He also found a damaged chimney, a broken window, and screens, and two garage doors. After researching some of the reviews, and seeing that they're local, I contracted with this company, who in turn subcontracted the chimney rebuild, and garage doors. Ryan asked for no money up front when I signed the contract. It went exactly as Ryan said it would; we would settle up when the work was done. We settled today as the Schilling Overhead Doors installed the new doors (I paid extra for the upgraded doors and new motors, which was totally worth it). He said I made it easy because I provided all of the estimates, including supplementals when my adjuster made it available. He worked with my adjuster to document the additional damage, so that my adjuster would approve the supplemental. They installed the roof in less than one day. They run like a well-oiled machine and choose only the best tradesmen as their subcontractors. I highly recommend this company and will do business with them as the need arises.

The problem started 2 years later when we developed a leak that was coming in to our pantry. We called to report the issue and they sent our a technician to evaluate. He took the shingles off in the area of the leak and even broke a hole in the decking, then just patched it up. The leak persisted with the next heavy rain and we called again. They sent out the same technician who didn't fix the issue the last time. This time he used caulking and spread it in every crack. This lasted for several months, but the issue continued. This time the leak was so bad that it caused over $5000 damage to our ceiling, walls and flooring. Water was running all the way through to the basement. I called New Image Roofing and they never even returned my call. I got a recommendation from my insurance company and they came out the same day and got on the roof in the rain to check it out. The problem was simple in that the flashing was damaged during the install and they just needed to replace the flashing properly. Ultimately I had to pay another company to fix the problem and then file a claim with my insurance company to get the interior of my home repaired. I would not trust a company that does not even call back; they could have repaired the problem just as the other company did, but it seems they are more interested in selling a roof and moving on. Buyer be ware!!

His guys told me that they were being asked to do things they didn't know how to do, and it became evident in their slowness. For instance, the day before he walked, he sent two guys to my job--one a painter and another a helper - to tile the bathroom shower. When I asked why it took them all day to only lay 3 tiles, they told me that it took him 4 hours to measure for the tiles, and the other time to lay them. I spoke to the office to complain, and she defended them. In the end, this contractor took a large commercial job, and his workers told me that he would be fined if he missed a deadline. Despite the fact that he was a month past my deadline, he choose to pull his guys after I'd paid him $26,000 (Full payment). I anticipate that he will respond by saying that he ran into things he did not expect. That is true. He had to remove the sheetrock from about 15 feet and replace it, rewire 5 electrical plugs, and do some extensive plumbing work. We made financial arrangements for the extra work, and I acknowledge that it pushed back the timeline a little. But that does NOT give him an excuse to walk away from a job that he was paid in full for. I DO NOT recommend this contractor--he uses amateurs that cannot get the job done. UPDATE: I am having to redo a lot of the electrical work he did, and the windows he installed are wrong. They open crooked and get stuck.
