I appreciated that JJJ answered my call, came to my house to give an estimate, and kept me updated along the way. Once I got the estimate, I was able to get the work started. I will say, I also appreciated that the pricing was reasonable as well. I know lumber has gone up in price and I did account for that, but I wasn't comfortable moving forward with something outside of my price range. The work was done on time and completed quickly! Once they were done, I was sent pictures like I asked! Great workmanship throughout. My fence still needs some work, but JJJ got my house together so it could be beautiful to sell. 10/10 would recommend.

Our roof was damaged in the last big storm of early winter 2023. The previous roof was only about five years old and did not last through the high winds we had, which were not bad to begin with. We had used a different company that we have since learned took many shortcuts, and that showed in their pricing. Our contact, Joey Vidal, worked within our budget and with our insurance quote while providing us with high-quality products that we needed without giving us options that we didn't need. Once we agreed on the work, we were quickly added to their schedule, and the team arrived on the scheduled day. They spent a few hours on prep, removing gutters and shutters, then arrived the next day and began work. They stayed late and almost completed the job in one day, but needed to come back the next morning, completing the job in less than two days. The entire time, Joey kept us up to date via phone calls and text messages and provided drone pictures of the roof. Everyone we worked with was courteous and respectful of our time. After the work was complete, Joey and his son returned to scout around the perimeter of the house to look for errant nails and leftover material that may have fallen and not been cleaned up. The final step was a complimentary pressure wash of our driveway. This was much appreciated since we are unable to do that right now due to water restrictions. Once the work was completed to our satisfaction, we were presented with the final bill, and Joey even stopped by to pick up the check so I didn't have to drive to the office or drop a large check in the mail. We appreciated the fine work and excellent communication with the Vidals, and we plan to use them for some future construction projects.

Last year I had a fence blow down on one side of my house (along with most of San Antonio) and I was having a hard time getting a contractor to call me back, much less give me an estimate. Allen not only called me back, he came out and gave me a reasonable estimate and said he would work the job in as soon as he could. I was getting nasty notes from my HOA so this was a big help to me. The work was done on time, on budget, and MUCH better quality than the original builder. I had him give me an estimate on a deck at that time and was impressed out how reasonable it was. Fast forward to now and I am ready to build a deck, and my circumstances and finances allow for a much nicer deck than what he originally estimated. First I went through Home Advisor (which I recommend if you're lonely... you will get all kinds of calls lol) and they sent 3 different contractors out. I sent the first home without an estimate because he wouldn't even give me a quote unless I signed paperwork on the spot. The other two were also VERY high pressure and their quotes were... well they were high (like you have to be kidding high). That's when I remembered I had Allen's card and gave him a call. He came out himself and took measurements, asked questions about what I wanted (one of the other companies insisted on telling me what I wanted) and gave me a ball park quote on the spot. Just based on this experience and the previous work I would highly recommend them, but of course I will update this review once the work is done. (it's 3/16/18 now and I hope to start on it within the next month).

If after coming out they decided that they didn't want my business I would've thought the professional thing to do would to just say thanks for the inquiry but this is a project we're not able or willing to do. I've also noticed that it seems when someone gives him a negative review he can't find their information. Just based on his responses if I were a customer considering this company I'd reconsider after looking at his responses doesn't take responsibility for his actions.

Hired this guy to remodel 2 bathroom because we had known about structural damage due to water and…read moreTermites. The quotes that we had been getting were high and we were advised to do both bathrooms as they shared the wall likely to have the most damage, after saving for months and selling our 2nd car we finally had the money to start the project. A&A was quick to respond, and promising to finish the job in about 2 weeks. Quick to collect the 60% down to start the process (Permits- which we later found he never got) and willing to refinance the rest. So excited about finally addressing the issue. BUT, although he is lic. contractor, his Plumber Mike is not despite him saying he was and he uses him all the time, nor the electrician. As for his Insurance, not worth the call. In effect we paid him 60% ($12K). Which he still has, he stopped the work after we contacted the city (work was poor/shottty) he installed a toilet, and a non-working tub, Reframe-not up to code, wall/tile had to be torn down to install a new working tub w/new plumbing. I would say we paid him 60% for him to do 30% of the work. We in turn went 4 months without a working bathroom. Tile had to be torn down, tub removed, his plumber never connected it, the studs he used to replace the damaged studs were scrap material and didn't even touch the floor/ceiling as required. He did not think we'd find out until the entire non-working tub/walls were gutted and we saw. This guy even went on to request a second check because the first check had not cleared and wanted me to make it out to his wife btw she's the first Review. He came up with so many excuses (can't return to site X1 day of mold removal, can't show up - check hasn't cleared which it had. My MIL fell- I'm in the ER, she cont. sick, she's in the hospital, she's in ICU, she's home but I am her provider. No one else -family- will step up - the excuses were endless. the final one was my neighbors tree fell on our house. So much more to say, he is A+ rated but interestingly only a few of those people rating him had permits to have that work done. 30 years experience - nope. Worked on 100's of projects - nope. It's always a good idea to check them out before hiring them directly with the Plumbers/Contractors/Electricians lic. through Texas dot GOV. If you don't want to get scammed this is where you go. Just need the persons full name to see if they are licensed to provide the work. And Yes, he was fined by the Texas Board. You can also look up his name in your area and see what Permits they've issue to him. Not very much and some remain open as they failed inspection. For those of you who did get work done by him, it's likely he didn't get a Permit. In a few years you'll know why. Hope this helps you.
