I had put out a simple request for a quote for some roof repairs due to recent thunderstorms. I had an estimate from the insurance adjuster that included the amount of damage roof tiles. I put that info in the request stating I was looking for someone who could work for around the cost estimate as the first place I call quoted me triple the estimate. The reply I received from this company wasn't just a "Sorry. We can't do that work for any price close to that estimate." If it was, that's fine. The reply I got was unnecessarily rude, telling me to have the insurance adjuster come out and fix it if he thinks it can be done so cheaply. I don't understand why this was sent when a simple "We can't do it for that cheap," or not replying at all would have sufficed. read more

I chose to use this company because it had the best reviews and getting the job done right with good customer service were the most important things to me. I have a 2-story house and I needed the metal lintels above my windows painted as well as my shutters and the roof trim. Of course, as is usually the case, the estimate was much higher than I expected, and there were certainly some quotes that were lower, but Francisco (the owner) met with me and explained why the lower quotes were most likely not comparing apples to apples. He wasn't pushy, and he didn't try to oversell his work or sound like an annoying "salesman". He just explained that his company uses high-end materials, processes, and people that will keep the paint from peeling or fading or needing to be redone in a few years. He also noticed a mistake that roofers made a few years ago when they replaced our roof that caused some rotting of our trim and would require more repair than just paint. But, his skilled workers were able to beautifully take care of it. They finished yesterday, and it looks OUTSTANDING! The workmanship is incredible, and now, I am so happy I didn't go cheap!! This place is great. After my dumbass was walking in the attic, I accidentally punched a hole in the ceiling when I stepped in the wrong place. Called a couple different places to get a quote. Both places asked me to text them pictures but only this place called me back with a quote. They showed up on time and got the work done quickly. The guy doing the job spent a lot of time preparing the living room so there would be no damage to any furniture. Would definitely give them another call if I need another repair. read more

Found this vendor from google search. Fransisco the owner showed up at my San Antonio house for a texture & paint bid for a simple 12'x19' bedroom with walk in closet. Needless to say, he later... only provided an estimate for texture? Called & spoke with Fransisco & discussed again the need for the painting bid too. Fransisco said he would send it. Months later still no response from Fransisco. Called again & Fransisco began with excuses saying after he does the texture then he could provide the paint estimate & didn't want to waste his time for a paint bid. I purposely never mentioned that I've been an insurance catastrophe claims manager for over 25 years but during the conversation I had to tell Fransisco that I've never heard of anyone ever stating they couldn't provide a very simple 1 room paint bid from a contractor in 25 years until now & that based on his lacking ethical performance, initially stating he would provide a paint & texture bid then considering his business profession name is "Vargas Paint & Texture" ....potential future customers should be made aware of this double talking pretender from my personal experience. I can only state based on his careless attitude with no follow up & long delays what would have happened if someone signs a contract with this joker. Glad Fransisco's true colors were revealed before I made the mistake to trust my renovations to someone who clearly says one thing then does another. Wow, we are very pleased with the job that Vargas Paint & Texture did for us today. We had water damage in our ceiling which included a large hole that the plumbers left. Francisco came over and gave us an estimate the same day we called, and the repair was finished the next afternoon! It looks like it never happened, and the price was very reasonable.
