Used my phone to video lessons for review. Best price I've seen for a 1 hour lesson. Next time we went a little longer. I'm better dialed in this year so planning on multiple shorter sessions to work out any kinks that show up to stay on track so I don't start compensating. Prices are good. Quick turnaround on grips. I didn't grow up playing lacrosse and the league didn't provide us with an equipment list, but the customer service was great; the guy knew exactly what we needed, how to properly fit everything, etc. He also didn't try to upsell us or shovel extras at us, which I appreciated. (We ended up buying some extras, anyway!) It was 100% worth the drive, and on top of feeling confident my son is well-outfitted in quality safety gear that fits properly, I felt good supporting an independent business in a sector that has come to be dominated by impersonal national chains and online retail.

Given that there is no directional signage posted that shows players how to get to the range, I drove up the hill yesterday instead of down looking everywhere for the range,. I finally asked a surly cart boy where it was and he responded with derision that "it was right down the hill." When I got there the ball machine was overly difficult to navigate so I drove back to the cart boy to request assistance. He made it clear that he was put out but drove down to the machine with me. Once he got it working it was out of balls! at only 1PM on a Sunday. I asked how that could be and why wasn't it being serviced? his response "Oh well..there are only two of us. You're happy to complain to the Head Pro. Which I did in the pro shop only to be told A) you dove right by the range coming into the course. So he was blaming me for not being able to find it. B) he also shrugged at the machine being empty..and like the cart boy said Oh Well." If any of these staff worked for a Corporate Service Industry Company they would be terminated on the spot for their behavior. I reminded the Head Pro that in fact golf course are in the Service Industry and he might want curb his attitude and that of his unprofessional and rude staff.

We had a tee time at 8pm, it was packed. After dropping off our clubs and bellying up to the bar, our group picked up a round while we waited on an opening. Every other group did too, and they quickly ran out of space. Once we got going in our stall, we played a round at pebble beach, they have many courses to choose from. The simulator is ok. We definitely had to over club in the fairway and putting was super fast with just a tap. But you figure it out on the first hole and it's smooth sailing from there. If you want more beverages or help, go back to the bar. For a pair, we got through 9 holes in an hour. A couple rounds of beers and two players after 5pm Monday-Thursday was right at $100 with tip. It appears there is different pricing at other times they are open.

The lettering that was supposed to be navy came out looking black instead. This may seem like a small difference, but for dedicated soccer fans, having the correct team colors matters. My son wouldn't wear the jersey because of it. When I brought it back, the manager explained that they use "in-house colors" for custom lettering and showed me their "in-house navy" sample, but to my eye it looked black as well. He said that they always disclose this to customers. I appreciate that the "in-house colors" might have been mentioned (although I have no recollection of it), but the meaning of it was definitely not explained to us, and those swatches were not shown to us at the time of the order. Had we seen the color, we wouldn't have placed the order. They would not accept a return. They did offer a $25 store credit on a $120 jersey, which I appreciated, but it didn't resolve the issue. Disappointing.
