This place used to be my go-to for simulators. But as of lately it's gone downhill because:…read more1) The last two times I have been there, there have been 10+ teenagers standing around a single pool table, screaming and yelling in a different language. I'm not paying this much money to use a golf simulator to then listen to people scream 10 feet away from me the entire time I'm there. 2) it's always very understaffed. Now takes 10-15 mins of looking for someone to get help or get a beer. 3) it seems like they haven't put a ton of attention (or money) into upkeep over the years. The tee boxes are in very rough shape and it always feels like you're hitting out of a divot. Hopefully they make some changes... until then, me and my group won't be back.

I went in…read moreknowing the data that spit out on your swing and all of the customizations that they can do to try and fit you for the right club. A little bit about myself: I'm not the best golfer. I shoot in the 100s and I know I have flaws in my golf game. Glen, the guy who runs Cool Clubs at Kohr Golf, is super knowledgeable about golf and club fitting. He took a look at my driver swing and immediately told me my money would be spent better elsewhere (a.k.a. you need to take lessons, dummy). He was really nice and diplomatic about it too! He didn't try to sell me anything. He gave me friendly pointers on my swing in general and also gave me little tips. It ended up being a short, impromptu lesson in my eyes. They use a Trackman so you can see all your swing statistics (club head speed, ball speed, attack angle, etc.) if you're into that thing. The facility is in-to-outdoor, meaning you can actually see your ball flight which makes a big difference. All of this ended up being a very positive experience and I highly recommend Glen and Cool Clubs. I'm going to be taking those lessons soon at Kohr Golf and I will be sure to visit again for that driver fitting with Glen.

So, we decided to leave after trying for 20 minutes. During that time, the worker at the front did try to fix it multiple times. We stayed for another 15-20 minutes to finish our drinks. Right before we were about to leave, we tried one last time and the machine started working so we played for the remaining 50 minutes of our reservation. We went to check out at the end of our time and the woman working there said she could not charge us for only the hour we played, and we really only played for 50 minutes, but had to charge us the full hour and a half, but would comp our drinks. This was ridiculous because the drinks were only $19 and the extra half hour was $40. We paid for 40 minutes that we didn't even play, of our 1.5 hour reservation. Be careful of non working bays and bad business.

Icons of the Revolution and Boston history (Red-coated soldiers, Faneuil Hall, Colonial Fife and Drummers, Paul Revere, and Colonial minutemen fighters) join other American history icons from Boston, New York, Philadelphia (Liberty Bell, Statue of Liberty, Bald Eagle, Horse and Buggy, a mining town) to populate the 18 holes of this very cool miniature golf course that does a good job of combining fun and a history lesson for the kiddies. Now look, Myrtle Beach Mini Golf this ain't. No state-of-the-art fancy-schmancy mini golf holes here.  No water hazards, no spinning windmill blades, no motion/movement hazards, no high altitude mountains or volcanos, no pirate ships, no dinosaurs, no jungle rain forests, no bells and whistles. This is a pretty basic design of a course that looks like it's been around a while Some of the greens showed signs of age. Quite a few of the greens were heavy with water, and on Hole #7, we had a few balls stuck on an underground ramp that required the attendant to hustle over and ream them out. But, a lot of those factors are evened out by the rock bottom pricing $8 for adults and $6 for kids under 12 you'll pay here for a few hours of fun.Our 4fur and six year old golfers couldn't care less about the lack of modern technology at the Village Green. They had a blast!
