I was there to cover a wedding photographer and I was there early so I can scout nice place for the photo shoots. The main function hall is nice and big. What I like are the parquet floors and the big oval chandeliers. The decorations on the tables are very nice too with big dinner plates for the guests. This room is adjacent to another big but a little smaller room. I do not remember about the food. So I would assume it is fair- not bad but nothing spectacular as I did not remember it.I do not recall having to call a Thorny Lea staff as never had any issues. We've hosted many events in the private function rooms, including birthdays, funeral brunches & bridal showers. I've also attended a wedding at Thorny Lea and all I have are good things to say about the food, staff & space. The club takes care of its guests and visitors alike. If you are an outsider, however, you'll surely feel even more like one during the busy seasons when all of the members are on their game and taking over the place they likely call "home" for 5-8 months out of the year.

I'm glad they insisted on looking twice. Get a grip charging your rate and harassing a diabetic. Not sure what they are looking for? Yes harassing! It is pathetic. The course is wet. Awful greens. Focus on the care of the course and less of the water cooler in my cart. You should be embarrassed Mark. Get it together. They need to rip this swamp down and build houses. Poor management.

I normally play the white tees at most courses but after a few times we realized that it's to short from there. You can play the blues 6200 yards or an actual listed blended tees which is 5900 yards. Fair layout...... Water on 6 of the holes. Oh by the way.... Great hotdogs! $4 beers at the turn or they have had a beer cart driving around during the summer. Enjoyable!!!

we basically picked cedar hill off a list of nearby par 3's. it's owned & operated by the town of…read morestoughton. they have a small clubhouse and pro shop. the course is just okay. most of the fairways are dried up, and a few of the tee boxes had so few blades of grass i probably could have counted them. the greens were nice though, even and not too fast. it'd be nice if they printed a little map of each hole on the scorecard so you know where the green is. the 1st and 9th holes are both dogleg left and you can't see the green, let alone the pin. the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th holes are all parallel to one another, and there's hardly any trees to break them up, so it can be a little hinky. for two of us it was $54 to play all 9 holes with a cart. not too bad, but i'm sure you could find a nicer course in the same ballpark.

It's a beautiful location with great staff and food! Although they served crab as an app, they were not opened and they only provided folks- how are we suppose to open the crab to eat it?? Also, steak with no steak knife- even the most tender of fillets needs a steak knife! Deducted another half star for this. At 5:00 on the dot an employee walks and yells "HEY GUYS 5 WRAP IT UP" Okay, I thought he meant 5 mins just a heads up...okay it's early but no worries. We said we would finish the hole...10 seconds later "HEY DID YOU NOT HEAR ME LETS WRAP IT UP GET OUT" At that point I was pretty frustrated...did he just speak to us like that? So we headed out and I said to the guy, thought you meant 5 mins sorry! And he, to be quite frank, was a miserable A Hole. We left, and he pushed us out ASAP. I went to check out with the guy we checked in with! He charged us for the full two hours. I asked "did we actually get in at 3? We definitely didn't." He said "please swipe" and I also said the other employee was incredibly rude. He didn't care, I swiped, still tipped the guy and left. This place had the worst customer service I've ever seen. We are a group of 20 something dudes out drinking, we aren't Karen's. We don't care if you needed us out at 5, that's fine! The way they spoke to us was uterrly insane. And so weird. The place was awesome but to be honest we aren't coming back. It was absurd and surreal how douchy these guys were. No chance we go back. Incredibly amounts of disrespect, and your employees are a holes. I can't believe as a 25 year old I'm Spending my saturday night typing this. Should be all you need to know!

The store associate that greeted me at the door was extremely friendly and helpful in finding what I was looking for. The store seem very well cleaned, organized, and well-stocked. No clutter to be found. A few other employees that I ran into while walking towards the register were also very friendly. Tyrone at check out was both helpful and efficient in getting my purchase rung up and getting me on my way back home. No one in the store was pushy and never once did I feel like I was rushed or ignored. I would definitely visit this Dick's Sporting Goods again while in the area.
