I have been using this service for a few years now and 5 months ago brought in a collectible watch that needed work. The work performed cost me close to $700 and included a total cleaning and mainspring and I have only worn the watch five times since that time since it is a collectible watch. Today when I went to wind it it kept winding which means the main spring was broke. I took it back in and he denied doing the main spring even though I have the invoice and said there's nothing he can do about it and said that he can't guarantee something that he did 4 years ago. I corrected him with the invoice and said that it was repaired 5 months ago and I had only worn it around three times and he got very belligerent told me that the watch was old and they don't make parts for it and it would be at least $500 for him to look at it after I just spent close to $700 a few months back. I told him that he was not being a honest businessman and he proceeded to call me a son of a w**** in Polish which I understand. I brought in a mechanical watch to have adjusted as it was running very fast. He adjusted it but after a couple days it was evident that he had made it worse. I took it back to have him look again but he was furious that I had the gall to tell him it still wasn't working and he claimed it was somehow my fault and he refused to take another look. I live in North Carolina and ship my watches for repair to Arthur. If you have ever seen a person doing what he was created for, this is the guy. He provides a skill set to repair high end and any watch end for that matter. I just sent him a Swiss/Italian Automatic mid-range value watch (pic below) to him and he turned it around in just a few days and fixed what my local jeweler could not. Plus, he told me why it happened without pulling any punches ( I was tightening down the crown too hard) and charged me a reasonable price. I had an authentic 20-year-old Black Forest Cuckoo clock in need of repair and Artur did the job quite well, restoring it to its original condition, clean inside and out. It was expensive, however, and that's the only reason for not giving him the 5th star. (Unfortunately, not 8 weeks later I accidentally knocked the clock off the wall and to the hardwood floor. Haven't decided if it's worth the expense to repair it again.) Artur also repaired a troublesome Citizen watch band that had its link pins continually breaking. Haven't had a problem since. Now I have an Invicta band to get adjusted and will be returning to him without hesitation. read more

So disheartened. I have an ESQ watch that is 17 years old. I brought it to him 2 years ago for repair. Said the seal was broken and needed new circuit board. Charged $120. Fine. He fixed it only to break 2 years later. I brought it in 2 days ago and said the EXACT SAME THING with SAME CHARGE! I used this gentleman about 20 years ago for a watch repair with good results. So when my automatic was running fast and out of warranty, I thought I'd bring it by. I mentioned I had magnetized the watch before and a factory authorized facility demagnetized it. I thought maybe I had done that again or perhaps just a simple regulation. The owner was combative and rude. He called began lobbing insults at me and the person who did the previous work. He claimed there was no such thing as magnetizing a automatic and whomever worked on it was an "idiot" and had "ruined my watch". The long and short of it, he quoted me $250 to fix a balance issue. He then said that I would not pay that price and told me to leave. All that drama steamed from me telling him my watch was fast. I sent the watch to a different authorized factory facility. They tested it and noted that it had been magnetized again. Watch out for those iPad cases :). $25 plus $10 shipping. I'm not sure what's going on at this place. But in my experience, I'd recommend you go elsewhere unless you like to be verbally assaulted. read more

I needed a very simple watch repair; replacement of a pin that had fallen out of the bracelet. I was quoted $20 and told to come back in half an hour for he was working on another piece. I had second thoughts about the price I was quoted, so I called a local reputable jeweler and was given an estimate of $5 - $10, which was comparable to a previous price I paid near my former home. When I went back to pick the watch up, I told him that I thought the price was high and that I was quoted a much lower price elsewhere. He quickly told me, in a nasty tone, that I had an expensive $2000 watch which had gold links and that the part was special. He then asked me for $25! After reminding him that he told me $20, I handed over my money, having known I was just ripped off because I had a high end piece. I won't go there again. read more

He came to our home, dismantled the clock, took it and the weights, and pendulum to fix and clean. Took his time and returned a few weeks later with our old clock once again working and clean.
