Been coming here since I was in middle school, and recently decided to get new contacts that were long overdue. The staff is as friendly and helpful as I remembered, even with a little wait. Was hesitant on walking out with a same day purchase but Emily C. was super jovial and helped me get the lowest price and I'm shocked I didn't come get contacts sooner. Will continue coming here for the foreseeable future! read more

Good optometrists. That's what kept us going in the past. The younger employees are also nice and polite. Unfortunately the older employees that driving us away from now on. Yesterday we went to pick up our glasses and served by a lady without any manner - no smiles, no greeting, asked our names multiple times, not inviting us in for seating after taking our temperature. We got annoyed seeing her not paying attentions to us but no aplogy whatsoever. The entire process we felt unwelcome as paying customers. There is no reason to stick with them. And I don't see them care about returning customers. read more

Appointment: 8/10 (avoid weekends) Examination: 8/10 (thorough enough) Service: 5/10 (Doctors are generally ok, but feel like they are commissioned sales person of whichever pharmaceutical company/product they endorse) Price: 2/10 (Especially on Orth-K related eye drops / accessories, it is a lucrative procedure and strongly promoted by this franchise. $30 for a 3.5ml eye drops is just crazy) read more

We have seen Dr Wen for the past 9 years and always very satisfied. Grace is very helpful and the whole experience is flawless.

Sharon is so patient and so good, that our family is with her for the last dozen of years! Wonderful services!

Dr. Jackson Ma is extremely caring, he assessed all my medical needs to make sure I'm healthy and comfortable. I had previous issues with eyevue optometry who only want your money and leave you out to dry with crappy frames and painful prescriptions. But that's blown all away by Golden Milpitas optometry thanks to Dr. Ma and Sharon Leong many thanks for the beautiful 18k white gold frame and custom extended lenses. Best place to come to with actual professionals where you feel their care is worth more than your money. 8/06/17 had my glasses perfectly adjusted by Sharon I've got a crooked head so it's a miracle I can feel comfy now. I was distraught the previous day by the lab tech Miles where I felt he was making the glasses worse. Don't trust the slick haired man or the technician that moves like a robot wasted a good hour on being tortured. If the person you trust is not there just come back the next day. So I Came back the next day and Sharon corrected the frame, outstanding professional work. Many thanks Sharon! read more

Sharon, Yvonne and Dr. Yee are amazing! I was in dire need of contacts but needed to take a contact lens exam first and Yvonne was able to squeeze me for an exam the same day! Yvonne was attentive and walked me through the contact lens process without a hitch. Sharon was patient, knowledgeable and helpful every step of the way (I chose 9 pairs of glasses so that should help put things into perspective)! Dr. Yee was caring and really guided me through my contact lens options and how to care for my dry eyes. 5 stars all around! read more

Our entire family comes to this optometry location and comes to see Dr. Ma on the regular. Their optometrists and staff are able to speak English and Chinese. Every time we come here, we're greeted by Grace and she's incredibly helpful in translating. We came here to get glasses and contacts. When picking glasses, usually it's a bit of a struggle because we can't really see ourselves without prescription glasses on. Huy is incredibly patient and helpful in picking out some new frames that were stylish and form fitting. read more

We're very glad we brought our daughter to Dr Wen for the Ortho-K procedure. Dr Wen clearly explains how to improve her vision within our parental comfort levels. The office staff is also very helpful and professional. Yvonne taught us to put on the contacts and how to care for them. Today our daughter can put them on herself. Yvonne also helps us with all our questions and concerns in a very professional manner. Today our daughter's vision has greatly improved and as parents we are very grateful. I was diagnosed with keratoconus at the end of last year, and the optometrists here, especially Dr. Julia Wen, did their absolute best to fit my scleral lens. They ended up getting me some pretty great fits within two tries. If you're thinking about getting scleral lens, the team at Golden Milpitas are a great choice. I've also seen some of the other optometrists, and they were all polite, friendly, and willing to answer all the questions I had. read more

My 9 year-old daughter started her ortho-k contact lenses last year. She and I were very happy about her new lenses prescribed by Dr. Wen. Before we came to Dr. Wen, her previous ortho-k lenses could easily have tiny air bubbles after she put them on, therefore we ended up have to take the lenses out for a couple of retries. Dr. Wen helped prescribe the right lenses for my daughter. She's very patient and knowledgeable. After computer diagnostics, she spent additional time running various tests to fine tune the lenses. The lenses turned out to be perfect, as my daughter could always roll her eyes to fit the lenses without generating any air bubbles. Another good news was, my daughter's prescriptions were stable at her first checkup after three months. I will definitely recommend Dr. Wen to my friends and families. read more

By far, this is the best experience I had with Optometry. The staffs were super friendly and understanding the current situation. Allowing me to take my time to try a different frame and they will clean it after each customer who tries them. The whole checkup experience detailed and not feel like a rush. During the checkout, Sharon was super kind and provide extra detail on the glasses options and any other question that I had, she explains them with the explanation. This place is very expensive. We came here for glasses but it turns out to more expensive than Costco even with our insurance. We came twice for the price quote and two different sales person gave us two different price. We were told we need to pay more than $300 for the lens only. In Costco, the lens' cost is only $99 with coating and polarized. We decided to get glasses from Costco. read more

3/8/17 11:05 am, I step in try to fix my frame, and very unfriendly old lady with glasses told me I have to sign the paper in case they break, she came out in 2 minutes with " full food " in the mouth told me - because the lenses already break, so they can not fix it, I told her lenses are brand new, all you need is very small plastic to hold the screws, she is very ming told we can not fix it is your problems not ours. Kathy from Golden vision is very professional and friendly . Kathy was super helpful , the whole purchase experience was fast and smooth .

If I could give a negative review I would. I can't believe in 2016 there is still a store like this. They were trying to use up all my insurance allowance and I had to end up paying so much after my $500 coverage. They charged me for $878 for one eyeglasses! What kind of eyeglasses is that?! They said they'd charge me less if I'm willing to pay cash or else they'd charge my insurance a lot more if I'm not willing to pay cash. They have no work ethics, no customer manners. The woman sitting next to my salesperson kept speaking in Cantonese trying to charge every possible item they could find to use up all of my insurance allowance. This place should not have existed! read more

Wow. LACK OF INTEGRITY. That's all I can say about the experience here. I got a pair of Chanel eyeglasses here and asked if they could order new frames because the ones I saw in the store had a small defect on the side of the frame. I went in a few weeks later to pick up the frames. And they look exactly like the original ones, defect and all, plus had the same exact price sticker on it. That's when I knew they never ordered me a new pair. I asked if they ordered new ones and that particular salesman had the audacity to tell me that this was the new one they ordered when clearly he was LYING. I asked to see the manager when he continued to deny the truth and he LIED AGAIN and said the manager wasn't in when I saw them just a few minutes ago. I just can't believe they have people like that working there. Integrity is such a must for small businesses and hiring for that is important. Before this incident I actually recommended two other colleagues to this store and all three of us bought Chanel eyeglasses. Needless to say I will never recommend someone there again and will be warning friends and family as well to beware. read more
