My 9 year-old daughter started her ortho-k contact lenses last year. She and I were very happy about her new lenses prescribed by Dr. Wen. Before we came to Dr. Wen, her previous ortho-k lenses could easily have tiny air bubbles after she put them on, therefore we ended up have to take the lenses out for a couple of retries. Dr. Wen helped prescribe the right lenses for my daughter. She's very patient and knowledgeable. After computer diagnostics, she spent additional time running various tests to fine tune the lenses. The lenses turned out to be perfect, as my daughter could always roll her eyes to fit the lenses without generating any air bubbles. Another good news was, my daughter's prescriptions were stable at her first checkup after three months. I will definitely recommend Dr. Wen to my friends and families. read more

It was my second time here and both times I was helped by Brenda Huynh. First time was a simple exam. Second time I came back because I was interested in contact lenses. By far, this is the best experience I had with Optometry. The staffs were super friendly and understanding the current situation. Allowing me to take my time to try a different frame and they will clean it after each customer who tries them. The whole checkup experience detailed and not feel like a rush. I was here for my eye glasses and contacts exam. Dr Sarah Chen and dr wu are very knowledgeable and treat you well. The place is very clean and have lot of brands for eye glasses and contacts. They print your vision plan and will go through plan with you. It is very easy to get an appointment here. Sarah Chen is young and energetic, explains every question with patience and smile. This place is very expensive. We came here for glasses but it turns out to more expensive than Costco even with our insurance. We came twice for the price quote and two different sales person gave us two different price. We were told we need to pay more than $300 for the lens only. In Costco, the lens' cost is only $99 with coating and polarized. We decided to get glasses from Costco. read more

3/8/17 11:05 am, I step in try to fix my frame, and very unfriendly old lady with glasses told me I have to sign the paper in case they break, she came out in 2 minutes with " full food " in the mouth told me - because the lenses already break, so they can not fix it, I told her lenses are brand new, all you need is very small plastic to hold the screws, she is very ming told we can not fix it is your problems not ours. If I could give a negative review I would. I can't believe in 2016 there is still a store like this. They were trying to use up all my insurance allowance and I had to end up paying so much after my $500 coverage. They charged me for $878 for one eyeglasses! What kind of eyeglasses is that?! They said they'd charge me less if I'm willing to pay cash or else they'd charge my insurance a lot more if I'm not willing to pay cash. They have no work ethics, no customer manners. The woman sitting next to my salesperson kept speaking in Cantonese trying to charge every possible item they could find to use up all of my insurance allowance. The service is good, and the price is a little bit higher than others. The lens is $10 higher than others, if you add anti-flare(AR), the price is also $10 higher than others. But the bad experience is the eye examination, the OD and OS are 0.25 less than my previous eye examination result. So when I wear the new glasses brought from Golden Milpitas Optometry and drive my car at night, it's really a little bit hard for me to see the traffic clearly. So I went to this store for 3 times, and the doctor there re-examine my eyes for another two times, she said there is nothing wrong with the examination result. It's really not safe for me to drive a car at night. I suggest the eye doctor re-check if there is something wrong with their devices. read more

Wow. LACK OF INTEGRITY. That's all I can say about the experience here. I got a pair of Chanel eyeglasses here and asked if they could order new frames because the ones I saw in the store had a small defect on the side of the frame. I went in a few weeks later to pick up the frames. And they look exactly like the original ones, defect and all, plus had the same exact price sticker on it. That's when I knew they never ordered me a new pair. I asked if they ordered new ones and that particular salesman had the audacity to tell me that this was the new one they ordered when clearly he was LYING. I asked to see the manager when he continued to deny the truth and he LIED AGAIN and said the manager wasn't in when I saw them just a few minutes ago. I just can't believe they have people like that working there. Integrity is such a must for small businesses and hiring for that is important. Before this incident I actually recommended two other colleagues to this store and all three of us bought Chanel eyeglasses. Needless to say I will never recommend someone there again and will be warning friends and family as well to beware. read more

Pricey, Pricey, Pricey, Snobby, Snobby, Snobby That pretty much sums it up. I stopped by a few times seriously looking for a pair of glasses to use up my vision insurance. Each time they had different ladies behind the counter, but they all acted like "princess". It must be a culture thing in this store. If you don't decide within 7~8 pairs, and pause a bit to think, they walk away from you, even during the week when they're not busy. There was a new lady there who just started. She was very nice and tried to help more (I guess she has not been "brain washed" yet), but quickly got talked down to by another lady, right in front of customers, happened more than once. That's real low. I think they cater to rich clienteles. But they forgot those of us who might dress down on a grocery shopping next door would have as much of a buying power with insurance from good company benefits. Even the technician guy (thin and wears a white coat) normally working in the back was stuck-up. He was asked to adjust a frame for me to try on. He had that look and said "Wait a minute", but never came over. Avoid this place at all costs. The only reason this place stays in business is its location. It gets all the foot traffic from a very busy plaza. Pricey, bad service. I saw the same pair at Lense Crafter in Valley Fair for $350. This place wants $460. If you still want to check it out, try their sister's store in Valco mall (Golden Vision of Cupertino? inside Valco). They have the same selections, same prices, but a lot better services. read more

If there was negative, I would give negative to this place! I went there early April to check my eye sight and get my Prescription. That Dr. Ma was terrible!!! I am near-sighted, and he asked me to buy some glasses to wear at night to do eye correction, which would cost me over $2000. It was beyond my budget and I said not this time. Then he asked me if I would want to get the prescription and buy glass from their store. I told him I just wanted to do the check and get my prescription. When he heard that, his face dropped immediately! Then he started to gather his stuff and refused to tell me anything about my check or anything else. And you know what he did next? He kind of pushed me out!! I cannot believe it!!! This is so not professional and terrible!!! I still need to go there to get my prescription, and they have changed my appointment for 3 times; I still did not see a doctor yet. read more

This place is an absolute nightmare!!!!!!! I walked in cos the frames in the window display looks kinda funky. Once inside, I was helped by TWO totally inexperienced SAs - WTH!!! They were mumbling and fumbling. I wasn't being difficult but I said I wanted brightly colored plastic frames and they kept pushing NON-colored frames to me - DOUBLE DUH! Anyway, I finally found a pair of frame I like so I went through the eye exam which was pretty decent - wait wasn't too bad considering that it was on a Sunday afternoon. The doc who examined me only works there part time - she is alright. After my eye exam, I had to go through an ardrous process of completing the forms & payment. They were just not smiley friendly people. That is annoying. Overall, I will rate this "post payment pre-frame collection" experience as slightly below average. BUT, when I went to collect the frames, service was NON-EXISTENT!!!!!!! It was HORRIBLE! No words can really describe the totally screwed up obnoxious SA who attended to me. (1) He was in his 20s and has the "I am so good looking and and I wish I was somewhere else but here" attitude. (2) He told me to try on my frames and see how they fit BUT he did not attempt to adjust my frames! Any good optometrist WILL adjust your frames. NOT THIS DUDE! All he did was give me a bored look and drawled if it is OK! NOT OK DUDE! So I got mad and asked someone else to help and this DUDE has the cheek to say RIGHT IN MY FACE, to his colleague "what is her problem???". This is soooooooooooo messed up! After I asked another SA (pre-sale lady) who pointed to another guy to help me out - I finally got my frames and hauled my ass out of the HORRIBLE shop. NEVER AGAIN will I patronise this shop. I went there to get Ortho-k lenses for myself. They were late by an hour on our appointment. We then saw the optometrist who was worse than a used car sales person. Having already gotten all the info on Ortho-k lenses I asked for pricing and all they did was go into a sales speech of the benefits repeating himself multiple times. I know something was up with these guys when they kept avoiding my cost question. Listening to the doc was painful. We were then transitioned to the owner who sat with us to discuss pricing. She was a total slime ball. She wanted us to sign a contract to make sure we come back every year and pay her $600 to by new lenses. I know doctors who've been wearing their Ortho-k lenses for multiple years. The contract was full of punitive fines and late fees if we did not come back in a year. I could barely stand another moment in what seemed like a back alley store. We finally left there and wiped all the sales slime off our clothes and found a doctor who is much better than this place. ***** STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE ****** read more

My employer offers Premera blue cross insurance for both medical and vision. I don't understand why but several in-network (information received from premera webpage) optometrists don't have a clue how can Premera be used as an insurance towards vision. I am not a citizen, and hence, I don't know how to make them understand about it. This place which was referred by my colleague seems to have figured it all out. My experience was so smooth and all the staff here were friendly and courteous. Kudos to you guys! read more
