WAISTED MY TIME AND BAD ATTITUDE! I made appointment for my husband one week ago and the representative said Saturday 4:30, well we arrived on Saturday they said it was Sunday. It might a misunderstanding so we went there again on Sunday, waiting from 4:30 until 6:00! They were repeatedly said we are the next patient because we didn't asked for a specific doctor, however I saw many patients went into the checking room but didn't called my husband's name! I was asked again then the representative stopped answer when is my turn and ignored me! I will change my insurance to Costco, will never come to here. read more

Had to come in on a Saturday afternoon to get the hubs glasses fixed that he accidentally broke. Found this place on yelp and we came here cuz we didn't want to go to the mall cuz it would be packed so this place was next on our list. Place is decent size, huge parking lot, a lot of parking but it could get busy and packed due to all the restaurants located here. Walked in the eye place and it was packed, a lot of workers and a lot of customers. We got helped within a few minutes. The receptionist was nice and helped us get a eye technician to fix his glasses. It took him about 5-10 minutes to have them fixed. Would def come back here again for any emergencies. Thanks for the speedy great customer service! read more

I highly recommend Golden Vision at Milpitas for all eye care needs. While I got my eye test done at a different place, I got the glasses at Golden Vision. The staff, especially Sharon Leong, were fantastic from the beginning. When I went back with a damaged frame after a few months, Sharon went above and beyond and ordered a new frame completely free of charge. read more

So this was my first time getting my eyes checked in the US. I picked Golden Optometry and I'm so glad that this was my first choice. The ambiance, as soon as you enter the store is feels so fancy and posh. I had an appointment with Dr. Shih and she was very sweet and excellent while helping out with my new prescription. She patiently explained to me any concerns I had and helped me understand my retinal scan reports. After I got my prescription, Kathy Ip helped me pick out a pair of sunglasses (prescription ones) and a pair of eyeglasses. She was so sweet and patient with me, while my husband and I went through quite a few frames tbh! I would highly recommend her if you're getting your frames from the store. Overall, my experience with Golden Optometry was so good, I'm 100% sure I'll be back when I plan to get a new prescription for my contacts. read more

Amazing staff, very friendly. Shout-out to Minh who patiently answered all our questions and helped with our glasses.

This was my first visit to Golden. I made an appointment after work on a weekday. There was virtually no wait. I haven't had my eyes checked in a few years and went in for a check up. Yvonne helped me with my eye exam. She was very courteous, friendly, and professional with me. Had a great overall experience, would recommend. read more

Wait time is atrocious. I keep coming here because I really like Dr Wen but I've been here three times in the last two months to get fitted for contacts and each time have waited over an hour. Maybe try scheduling fewer appointments? read more

I have been their client for over 10 years, and I am always happy with their outstanding service. Last year I had LASIK done and was very satisfied, it absolutely improved my quality of life without glasses. Dr. Ma is excellent for all my exams and follow ups. The assistant manager Emily is very nice and helpful. She helped me scheduling all the exams and follow ups. She is also very patient and knowledgeable helping me choosing the suitable sunglasses after the LASIK and this year last week too. I was happily surprised how much time Emily had saved for me. Both Dr. Wu and Dr. Yee are very nice and wonderful doctors for my sons. One of my son wears Ortho K lens, both doctors helped a lot. Excellent job! Thank you! read more

The office is clean and adhere to social distance. The optometrist is very professional and knowledgeable. However the price of the eye compress heat pads and eye lid scrubs are ridiculously markup 2x from outside stores. Make sure to compare before you buy. read more

So I haven't had to go to an eye place in a long time because I had Lasik. However since 10 years, my eyes have gotten a little worse and I decided to stop on in based on a recommendation on a friend. I am so glad I came in. I was greeted by Huy, who did a phenomenal job going through the different frames so that I would feel comfortable and look good based on my preferences. He was able to look up my insurance with ease and laid out what the procedure was for getting the glasses and setting an appointment with their in-house optometrist. I had my appointment with Jackson Ma O.D. He was super friendly and educated me on what had happen with my eyes after some time with my Lasik. I felt confident in his ability and he was very approachable and gave me a great break down on my eyes. This place does get busy on the weekend, but I was able to stop by during my lunch. Would recommend this place to anybody. read more

i walked in to ask for help for fitting my eye glass, I told the staff i am willing to pay. A male staff technician came to help me very professionally. He did a good job for me, he refused to accept my pay for service. I am really impressed by their professional customer centered services. read more

I've been visiting Golden Milpitas Optometry every year for 15+ years. I live closer to the newer Cupertino location now, but I still come back to the Milpitas store from time to time. There is a wide selection of frames in the store, and I've enjoyed working with Sharon and Kathy over the years. Sometimes they get so busy that they have to divide their time among many customers, but both have been super helpful and neither has tried to sell me things that I don't need. In terms of optometrist, I really like Dr. Julia Wen and would prefer to go to her if her schedule allows. Dr. Wen is the ultimate professional. She has a lot of experience and is obviously very knowledgeable in her field. She is very patient in addressing all of my concerns. read more

Kathy Ip is very helpful and patient for selecting glasses for us! The doctor Ip is also very helpful and knowledgeable

Over priced. The lens are more expensive and the frame are also more expensive than others. The worst part is the service. The eye exam was rushed and I felt the prescription was not accurate. The sales' attitude is even worst. Failed to explain progressive lens and give suggestions to someone never wore prescription glasses before. Saw 2 different sales afterwards, never seen a smile on their faces. Didn't feel they even wanted to talk to me when I told them the price range of the frame to be under 200 bucks. Finally went to another optical store. Totally deferent experience. I'm still waiting to get the glasses to find out if the prescription needs to be re-evaluated. Anyways, I really wish I didn't come here at the first place. I trusted the reviews, but it turned out to be totally different for me. I would not recommend it. Update: just found out I'm not the only one has a such terrible experience from here. My friend went to Cupertino location and had a similar experience. You can also find similar reviews here. read more

Family went in for an annual checkup, we were seen by Dr Chang and Dr Ma, they were both very patient and thorough with their explanations. Staff was very friendly. Kathy helped us pick out glasses for the whole family, she was very patient as well, and explained all charges in detail and setup our FSA paperwork for easy reimbursement. Will definitely go back to Kathy for our eyeglass needs. read more

Had a very good experience and would highly recommend. Was a first time patient and scheduling the appointment online and providing new patient information was straightforward. I was treated by Dr. Linda Wong and helped by Yvonne. The service was great and they helped me to order a year supply of contact lenses from Acuvue which I received within five days of my appointment. Additionally, Yvonne helped me to get a rebate for my contact lenses through Acuvue rewards. read more

Worst place! Hustle u for services with additional Charges without telling you alternative is free under insurance. Even worse is that they sell glasses at 4x the market rate. Just the type of Progressive" alone is 279 usd and that doesn't even include frame or lenses. The full progressive will cost you around 800 usd. After the insurance pays 200, you are still 600 bucks out of pocket. （this place totally feels like a scam, and really wish the ladies there could wash their mouth after eating onion soup). You are way better off going out of network to Costco get inspection and fully loaded glasses at less than 300 bucks, and insurance would still cover nearly half of it despite being out of network read more

This place is really dope. I've been doing ortho-k with Dr. Ma, and he's really nice and gives me a good explanation for why my eyes aren't perfect (he uses an eyeball diagram and explains why I'm nearsighted, why I have astigmatism, and explains the anatomy of the eye, which I love learning about. And all of this without me needing to ask!). I'm also pretty tight with the receptionist Kathy, who was chill to talk with me about my summer plans while I was setting up payment. The whole process of waiting, checking up, and setting up payment runs so quickly and smoothly too! I was pretty much in and out in 40 mins for an ortho-k appointment (with annual payment setup time included). Would really recommend cause they're super cool. read more

I am a 1st customer to Golden, everything is nice inside the store, really clean and they do check your temperature before let the customer in. Plus one start here ! I made appointment online but I did not get confirmation and they asked me when I booked the appointment, It was a day ago. I don't mind to come back or schedule to another time since it was my mistake, but the girl behind the counter said "i did check all the appointment request yesterday ." to her coworkers. It is a little bit unprofessional to say this in front of the customer. minus one star! The girl who help us explain the insurance throughly, correctly and we able to see the doctor within next 30 mins, and I am so happy that she can help us out ! + one star ! Dr wen was my doctor, she is nice and she did the exam really detail! +one star ! Since my insurance was not eligible, we just did the exam part and we will be back for contacts. At check out, another girl helped us, she told me the price was $115. The price was complete different with the girl who went over my insurance before the exam. I brought up the question like if i am going to get 15% off the fitting price since I am a vsp member , then she look at the other girl to confirm if i am right or wrong . well, the staff needs more training, and needs be more professional. Vsp is the easiest vision insurance you can understand, and staff should be well trained before they quote price to the customer. minus one star Eye doctors are everywhere, how to keep the customers coming back to your store is important. Great doctor and good customer service will be the key. Hope it will be improve. read more

If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. I ordered a pair of custom Nike sunglasses - the wait was over six weeks. When I finally got them, they'd tinted the lens with the wrong color. They sent it back to "the lab" and then waited for another six weeks. Then they returned the glasses with with a chip in the frame - so returned it again - now it's been months, over multiple phone calls and still the response I get is "it's in the lab, I have to check status." This is after making the payment in full. What a ridiculous and incapable supply chain and even more irresponsible staff. Awful experience. read more
