It was busy on the patio but we were able to score a table in the shade over looking South Saskatchewan River and the promenade. We placed our orders quickly even though there were quick a few good options on the brunch menu. I had a traditional breakfast and a Saskatoon berry lemonade and my husband ordered yogurt & granola and a long black. When he had told me he would be getting a long black, I had to do a double take in the menu and there it was. I could count with one hand how many places in western Canada I had been to with long black or café allongé on the menu. I was impressed and he said it was very good too. My breakfast was scrumptious with 2 thick pieces of sour dough toasts, 2 plump sausage patties, 2 perfectly fried (with brown edges) sunny side up eggs and crispy and soft potatoes! The dessert was the highlight of the evening, the cheesecake was average but the saffron cake was delicious! One of the best cakes I've ever had! By the end of our meal the owner came to help the server and it was great to see him helping on the floor! He was very kind and explained that one of there servers called in sick and they couldn't get another worker in on time.
