Sub par place. Very cheap, big portions, poor presentation, bland diner taste that you would expect from a place like this. Not worth writing home about. The interior was sad and outdated, had that small town Legion feel. It was clean though so two stars for that. Burger had Kraft singles instead of cheese....barf. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and there's definitely a reason! The prices are really good, and the portion sizes are amazing. I always get the steak sandwich, which comes with a starter salad or soup, the steak with your choice of potato+gravy, and garlic toast or cheese toast. I always leave stuffed, and excited to come back. The steak is nice and juicy, the fries crispy, and the salad refreshing. The staff is amazing too and talk to you like you're friends. read more

I was not very happy for lunch special soup and sandwich is now $14 they increased it by $4 dollars. And before you could place your order and get a soup with it and now you don't and everything has gone up 3-4 dollars and no soup. No wonder the parking lot was so empty to high of an increase. read more

BAD SERVICE BUT GREAT FOOD. Our waitress , blond mid 20's lady was the most rude person I've ever met and I honestly don't know how she works there , BAD SERVICE almost had to ask for another waiter , we were nothing but respectful towards her and she asked "how is your food , good?" Then walks away as we didn't even answer her , DID NOT come and ask us if we needed more water nor did she EVER check on us, we had to GO UP to the front desk and ask for things ourself , she seemed OVERLY annoyed when she had no reason to be , we asked for more water and she began dumping the water in our cups along with dumping it ON US and not even saying sorry. SHE WOULD SIGH WHEN WE ASKED FOR EXTRA DIPPING SAUSE! SHE WOULD ROLL HER EYES WHEN ALL WE WANTED WAS DECENT SERVICE. Disrespectful lady and I was not pleased as it was my first time taking my family to try this place I went to ever since a kid. NOT SO FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE, and she probably wonders why we didn't tip, you give respect you earn it lady. Seriously the best spagetti meat sauce in the city!!!!! We ordered a lasagne and a spagetti meat sauce had a generous portions of each, and had extra for lunch the next day! I would say that 2 could share a order and both be satisfied. Good value, priced right and again the tastiest Pasta sauce I've ever had. Also not sure if it was because we had picked up our order or it was over a certain dollar amount but we recieved a free 2L of pop. All in all, a excellent experience! The restaurant was very clean/well kept and service was quick and professional. I also will add a picture of this uniquely shaped building on my next visit. There were 3of us, I ordered lasagna, very good, husband had a steak, also good, my child had fish and chips, not good. They have pepper or some other spice within the batter of the fish. My child did not like it at all. I asked the waitress if there was anything that they could do, because if I would have known about the spice in the batter (who does this?) I wouldn't have ordered it, not even got myself. Nothing was done. I should also mention that the portions have gotten smaller and the prices increased. I asked about this and the owner told me that they are looking after our health!! What a bunch of BS. read more

The family and I have been to the restaurant a few times over the past two or so. The various platters were a hit, as we're the salads. I always found the pizza to be too greasy, and the crust too soft to support the toppings, resulting in a mess every time I pick up a piece. I like fish, and I've really tried hard to like the cod, but again too much grease for my liking. With enough drinks you can wash it all down, as long as you realize the dangers to your cholesterol levels. I thought I could forgive all of that just to share time together with the family. Then the unthinkable happened: a nephew picked up a piece of pizza, and for some reason thought he saw a hair sticking out from underneath the slice of pizza in his hand. He turned the pizza over, and saw that a cockroach had become flattened and embedded into the crust! Needless to say, we reported the incident to our waitress, who took the pizza to show somebody else, and came back and told us that our bill would be taken care of. We warned three other couples as they were entering the building for supper, and they thanked us and drove to other establishments (I presume). My apologies to all faithful restaurant goers, but I need to get the word out. I think an investigation is warranted by the health department. on the up side it was fast the food was delivered quickly, but the service was meh and server did not come around to see if anyone wanted more water or drinks or more sauce for ribs, and they give you like f all....... Well after not being here for years.. like 20 years.. I'm back in town.. So I went here with a buddy and my parents. and the food was meh... I guess it'll make a decent poop later... I ordered the veal cordon bleu with mashed potatoes.. veal was thin and breaded with the thinnest slice of ham i've ever seen on this planet and with a bit of cheese.. potato's and gravy were ok.. mom had chicken fingers.. can't really screw up chicken fingers... my buddy had ribs, they were ok but nothing special and no where near enough dip available for the ribs or the chicken finger .. Dad ordered the ham steak and he didn't complain so neither will I .. but he didn't rave about it either.. I'm not headed back.. read more

We were very disappointed with our meals last night. My husband and I ordered shish kabobs and they were awful.....very chewy and absolutely no flavour at all! I highly doubt that was tenderloin. When we told the waitress she sent the manager over in which she did apologize and offered to make new ones or something different off the menu for us. My husband did order something else but I didn't bother. The manager came back a few minutes later to tell us that she had tried a piece of our kabob from the middle and that it seemed fine and tender. First of all I can't believe she would eat off our plates and secondly we felt like she implied that we were lying. When we received our bill we were shocked that they didn't even offer a discount. When my husband went to pay the hostess at the till she mentioned that they have had other complaints about their beef being tough as well. We have been long time customers and have never had a problem with the food or service. Unfortunately we don't think we will be going back. read more
