So I'm intentionally not mentioning any names or pointing fingers at one person. We stopped at the Culver's in Vincennes, IN while visiting relatives because we wanted to try a different location. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The drive-thru was slow, we waited to be acknowledged, and there was no greeting at the window--just our total. When our Flavor of the Day mixers arrived, they were extremely soupy, more like milkshakes, and appeared as though they had been sitting for a while. There was also a bit of a mess around the cups, with toppings on the sides and no napkin, so our first contact with the food was cleaning it up. I completely understand that it was an extremely hot day, and some melting is to be expected. But this seemed beyond what the weather could explain. I'm sharing this in the hope that the store will see it as an opportunity for some much-needed training and a reminder about the little things--greeting customers, presentation, cleanliness, and making sure the product is served as intended. I know my standards may be a little high because our hometown Culver's consistently provides excellent service. The parking lot at this location was clean, and I'm sure the team was dealing with a busy, hot day. I worked in food service for years, so I know how much training, teamwork, and attention to detail go into a good customer experience. This isn't about criticizing one employee. It's about hoping the entire team gets the support and training they need to make the next customer's experience a better one.
