me and my sibling came in there for lunch today. Great customer service served right away the guy serving the food the super friendly. I highly recommend this place if you need some delicious food to eat... although the place seemed very hot. I did notice it straight away. My son and I bought 2 burritos and 1 large drink on Sept 28th. Bank draft was for $31.97. $8.99x2 = $18 Large drink $2.79. W/ tax should be $22.22. When I confronted the man at Chavas that rang my order tonight. They kept saying it had cheese sauce. We never ordered cheese sauce. The man added it up and gave me back $6. They still owed me $3.75. I'll never go back there. They play that language barrier and scam you with the cheese sauce. read more

Really great restaurant. I had a chorizo super burrito, and my wife had a chicken quesadilla. It was delicious. The portions were large, and the prices were reasonable. The staff was really welcoming and friendly and everything was cooked up in front of us. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Delicious!! read more

Don't let the fast-food facade fool you. This place is a small miracle of great Mexican quisine. I recently moved to Vincennes from Los Angeles and, respectfully, I just haven't been blown away by the local Mexican fair. When I saw the Chava's sign while driving down Hart Street I had to give it a try. What a delight! The pork quesadilla was fresh and soooo tender! The cheese (always a giveaway) tasted wonderful, and it was completely affordable! My wife and I enjoyed it so much we couldn't stop eating. I want to start a campaign to get the word out on this place, so it will be around for a long time! read more

Before my first experience at Chavas I was never really a big fan of Mexican food. My friends forced me to order their iconic super burrito and at that point on my life was changed. I understand that it might not be the most genuine Mexican dish. With that being said I'm still a young, growing teen and in my mind, the super burrito is the perfect amount to satisfy my hunger to the point were I'm at that almost too full. The price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get as well. I have had about 30 different varieties of the burrito because of all the different items you can wrap up in the magnificent grilled tortilla. This restaurant/fast food joint/bar & grill has turned into my go to place anytime I'm in the area. I'm excited for their new location on 6th street to be opened. Chavas is quick, good, and filling. read more

This is very similar to Chipotle or Qdoba. Fresh ingredients and quick service. If you order crunchy tacos, they cook the shells right then, so they are very fresh. I'd highly recommend. read more

I stopped by here on a road trip, Great Place! Might be Mexican Owned, definitely Mexican Staffed, BIG PLUS! Everything was very good, and fresh. I had the Deluxe Nachos, and my travel bud got the fajitas. No complaints from him, it disappeared quickly! The nachos were very good, just messy due to all the toppings I had them add :D Eager to try the other offerings, and I found that there is a Chavas in Terre Haute also. Staff is always nice. Everything I have tried has been far superior than any other Mexican resturant in town. I love chimichangas. I have tried them at all of the restaurants in town and Chavas makes the best. I always get a chicken chimichanga with rice, beans, lettuce, olives, onions, red sauce and pico on the side. Their super burritos are really big. More than you can eat in one meal. The kids always like their chicken quesadillas. read more

Chava's offers Mexican food fast, and it does this extremely well. The food is of very high quality and tastes great. It all seems very fresh. My wife and I both absolutely love the nachos, which are made to your specifications when you order and are big enough to make a meal out of. In fact, we love the nachos so much we haven't tried much else. The staff is friendly. I would recommend this place for a tasty lunch or dinner on the go. read more

Good food comparatively with chipotle or moes. However it didn't seem like they take much care in keeping their line food fresh. All the toppings on the line looked dried out and like they had been sitting on the line all day, didn't make me sick though which is a plus. Food did taste good and employees were friendly I'll go back but hopefully they can keep their food fresher in the future. read more

Some places have Moe's or Chipotle, Vincennes has Chavas and we are glad they do. Great alternative to the many burger places in town. Love to choose my own fillings. The meat is moist and has a good taste and there are good veggies, pico and peppers to choose from. Choice of refried or black beans. Good portions too. Even the regular burrito is quite big. August 03, 2018. Went there for lunch at about 1230. It was crowded. Ordered a regular chorizo burrito with all the fixings and a medium coke. Sign says $6.49 for a regular burrito. I got charged almost $14 for the burrito and a medium coke. I am not one to argue since I am not from this area or even near. Burrito is great and full of flavor but the up-charge was silly. read more

I just had an excellent burrito. I choose the ingredients, like a chipotle, but got a superior burrito and cheaper too. I highly recommend.
