The food and service were excellent. Javen was our waitress and she was very prompt with getting our refills following instructions on the order and very pleasant to be around. The entire staff is wonderful and they have a very clean restaurant and do a great job here. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare and of course the dinner rolls were always fresh and hot. The salad did come out a little too early. I was supposed to have it with my ribs, but they did take it back and brought them out with the rest of the food. I like Texas Roadhouse a lot, and I would recommend this one. We had a large group and they accommodated us. Our waitress Kaycee was lovely and did a great job! The service was pretty slow - rolls came after apps were served (about ten minutes before). Food took longer than expected and was good, but the steak tips I had were quite chewy/fatty. The Vincennes store is out of prime rib 95% of the time. The onion blossoms are smaller. The rib eye was tough. This used to be a very enjoyable dining experience every time. Not so much anymore. I don't know why it has changed but I hope they figure it out soon and correct it. read more

Ate at Texas Roadhouse this afternoon with my family after my mom's memorial service. I had visited them the day before and they said they couldn't seat us together, but could sit us in the same area. As it turned out we had a couple more people than expected, and they accommodated us with seating, great food, and service at the 11th hour. This is the second time they have done that for my family. The time before, my mother was still alive and very disabled at 100 years of age and I had just had hip surgery. They seated us in an area that had no assigned wait staff and made it work. Today, the wait staff put on a show doing a line dance as we were leaving. Talk about going above and beyond. I can't thank them enough and the food and drinks were great too!! read more

Ordered a bacon cheeseburger. When it arrived I took a bit and it was very raw and uncooked. Asked Anna the waitress to take the plate back which she did and said that Philipe the manager would bring my new plate out. The other 3 people I was with were finished eating by the time the manager brought my burger to me. I check the plate and the burger was cooked through buy had no lettuce or tomato. I told him I would just eat it the way it was because everyone else was finished eating. When we received the bill there was no reduction in the cost of my order. I am a fan of texas roadhouse and have been to many different locations. This location I have been to many times. I generally enjoy the food. Couple of things they need to work on. Consistency. Its just not there. Every meal ive ordered they have messed something up every time. Theres not been one order where everything requested has been delivered. Our most recent take out order I asked for no mushrooms on my burger and it didnt happen. It says it on the ticket on the takeout order given. We have gotten fries (dine in) where they were so salty they were inedible. Those are just a small sample of many. Takeout orders- Whoever is expediting is not doing a good job. Ive gotten plenty takeout orders and quite frankly its ridiculous that I have to go as far as examining my food to the tee to make sure its correct. Timing on takeout orders only one time have they been accurate on this. Food has been good when its been done right. Ive been to many great Roadhouses and this one needs alot of improvements to be great. read more

This Resturant is fairly new to Vincennes and I'm not usually too keen on going to chain restaurants and reviewing them however my daughter really wanted to get some of their amazing rolls and kids usually get what they want nowadays so we pulled in. The parking lot was packed for being the middle of the afternoon and I was a little concerned how long we were going to have to wait. I put our name in and it only ended up being about a 20 minute wait to get to our table. She immediately dug into the rolls and slathered them with the cinnamon butter. The rolls are very soft and buttery and pretty amazing if you enjoy bread. Our waitress was amazing and took our drink orders right away and got them out to us. I would've enjoyed having one of the delicious looking signature cocktails but had several other things I needed to do that afternoon so that'll have to wait for another visit. My daughter got the blue crush lemonade and she said it was the best! We placed our food order and while I realize it was really busy it still took a good long while to get our food. And we actually never did end up getting our appetizer so I'm not sure if it just didn't get put in or what happened. It wasn't on our bill either and we decided to just not worry about it. I had the smothered chicken, mixed veggies and baked potato and she had steak, grilled shrimp and loaded mashed potatoes. Our food was pretty good. She loved the mashed potatoes. Our waitress was amazing and I wish I would've gotten her name so I could call her out here. She brought my daughter a to go lemonade and asked if I wanted a water to go also. And she brought us out a basket of rolls to take home also! They were so good warmed up the next day! Overall we had a great experience other than the long wait for food which may or may not have been able to be helped due to the immense number of patrons that were in the Resturant that day. We joined the waitlist before leaving home since there was a 45 minute wait. Once we arrived, we told them we were here to make sure our name was down. At this point it's been 25 minutes since joining the wait list. Mind you there is only 2 of us. We stepped aside so other guests could check in. We started noticing guests who were just walk-ins were getting seated within 5 minutes, but we were still waiting. After we said something to the host, she said we have only waited a portion of our time? So I'm assuming if you join the waitlist, you have to wait the full amount of time given?? And then we FINALLY got the text to gather our party to be seated. We moved closer so it was easier to hear the host who was very soft spoken and didn't seem happy with her job. Waited for roughly another 15 minutes still watching people who just walked in get seated. We watched multiple parties of 2 get seated. We never got seated. I'm pretty sure our ticket was on the corner of the hosts stand and the host kept skipping over our ticket. I didn't know a 45 minute waitlist meant waiting 45 minutes inside of the restaurant. I thought once we joined, our time would have started. So in total we waited for an hour and 15 minutes. Thats okay! We walked out and went elsewhere for dinner. read more

We have been 3 times since opening and have enjoyed every visit and try to order something different each time. Today we ordered the cactus blossom, bone-in ribeye and chicken salad. I also ordered their sangria margarita which lived up to my expectations. It was a great blend of the two plus sugar and fruit on the rim. The cactus blossom was very good and not greasy at all and came with a spicy ranch. The bone-in ribeye literally filled the plate. Service was very good. WORST TEXAS ROADHOUSE EXPERIENCE WE'VE EVER HAD!!!! We've eaten multiple times at Texas Roadhouse restaurants in Avondale, Arizona; Glendale, Arizona; Joplin, Missouri; and Evansville, Indiana, and all of them have been pretty consistent, both in food and service. However, all three times we've been to the Vincennes location we've been disappointed -- guess we just kept doing the same thing over and over, hoping for a different outcome (definition of insanity?) On our most recent visit, the restaurant was so cold that we ate in our coats, and even though I had my fleece sweatsuit on underneath my coat, by the time we finished our dinner, my fingers were numb! We called the waitress over and asked her why the restaurant was so cold, and after checking with the manager, she came back and told us it was to keep the kitchen workers from getting overheated. While I understand the need to keep the kitchen workers comfortable, the temperature in that restaurant was far from comfortable, even for the kitchen workers. It was frigid, and I'm not exaggerating. Added to the uncomfortably cold atmosphere in the dining room was the fact that there is absolutely no hot water in the men's room, so no relief from the cold for my husband there. To add insult to injury, the sirloin steak was tough (that's our second such experience with the steak), and the catfish was undercooked. The only tasty items were the rolls, salad, and baked potato, but those items are not the reason we visited Texas Roadhouse. I guess the third time is the charm, because this time we have learned our lesson and will not be back. read more

My family went there to have Prime Ribs and a good time. The waitresse took our order and would check on us every 15 to 30 minutes without letting us get a word in. After 1 and a half hours of waiting she came by a told us they were out of prime ribs. Then asked if we wanted something else. We said no. All people around us that came in later got their food including prime ribs. Manager agreed there was a disconnect, but only gave what we had off the bill free. More was involved, but no real apology or free items for our inconvenience. They have slowly gotten worse over time. read more

Called and spoke with a manager who said "the server went ahead and changed your bill and the sirloin is cheaper anyway". If I had wanted a sirloin i would have ordered one. We just visited the Vincennes location tonight for my son's birthday. It was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in recent memory. We were notified by text that our table was ready, but we we came inside we had to wait almost 10 minutes before the table was actually ready. When we were finally seated, we were given rolls but no silverware or plates. Our server, came a few minutes later and we asked him if he could bring us plates and silverware. He said he would but never did. I eventually got up and retrieved some silverware from near the host station and took some plates that were sitting on an empty table nearby. My daughter ordered a Dr. Pepper, but we were informed they were out. I ordered a sweet tea and when it arrived it was so watered down it was almost flavorless. I eventually ordered something else. Our server kept telling us he would be back to clear empty cups, baskets, etc., but never did. The table was only cleared when we were finished and ready to leave. I ordered catfish and fresh vegetables and both were not very good at all. The catfish filets looked and tasted completely dried out like they had been left in the freezer for months, and the vegetables were dried out and bland as well. The bill for five of us was $100.42; this is ridiculous for the low level of service we received and the poor quality of a sizable portion of the food. I've eaten at a number of Texas Roadhouse restaurants over the years and never had a poor quality experience in so many aspects of the dining experience like this. I turned 21 yesterday and went to celebrate with my Mother today. They looked at my ID and said they "couldn't serve me because my ID is expired." It clearly states on the ID that I have 30 days to renew it, and also was printed on my ID that it doesn't expire until 11/02/2023. I even went straight to the BMV right down the road to confirm this. The waitress looked at it, then proceeded to have her manager look at it. Took 2 people and they still got it wrong. Typical Texas Roadhouse- however food was subpar at best. We ordered rattlesnake bites for appetizer- 3 of them were totally empty - overcooked & all cheese mixture was completely missing! We were not served the rolls and finally asked for some when our salads came to the table! I ordered the 1/2 rack ribs, spouse had steak with mushrooms and onions as addition. My ribs were overcooked and served cold I couldn't eat them as they were like leather and bones with salty sauce - horrible. The steak was completely lost in the mushrooms & onions. If I want to listen to loud country music while I eat and not be able to have a conversation with my husband, I'd go to a bar. Having new guest waiting while the dining room is clearing out at 3:40 pm and the servers are looking to have new guests seated while using the excuse, we are waiting for more servers to come in, is not what I call good service. I watched 5 couples leave while waiting and not a single person being seated. After 15 minutes of that, I had enough, and we went somewhere else to eat. We were very excited to have Texas Roadhouse come to town but the last two visits my husband and I have had our steaks either very overcooked or undercooked, which I completely understand things happen as I have worked in the restaurant industry for years. Our server, Jenny, was great all night and was super understanding. The problem is how management chose to handle it, which was very unprofessional. I ordered my steak Medium and it was delivered Well Done so I asked for a recook and then it came out Medium Rare. Typically, that is how I'd order my steak but I am pregnant and unable to eat meat that rare right now so I told the manager that it was just too undercooked for me to eat. Madeline then decided to argue with me and pull out the Texas Roadhouse cook temp sheet to show me this was in fact a Medium when it was very clearly not. It fit the photo perfectly of Medium rare and when I reminded her of that she looked at me and laughed not offering to make it right but instead make me very uncomfortable. So I left without eating, a steak too rare for it to be safe for me to eat, and nervous to go back due to how Madeline made me feel. This is not how I'd expect a manager to treat and talk to a customer and I hope she can take part in further training in customer service being that she's in a management position and Texas Roadhouse is known for their great service. I know they opened very recently and we expect hiccups as I have been part of opening multiple restaurants. I know how stressful and new things can be but how management treats customers shouldn't be one of them. read more

I had the medallion fillet over rice with the mushroom sauce and it was so good, I will get it again. Steak was cooked perfect. Green beans were ok. Sweet potato was awesome along with the corn. i worked there for 3 days. and i have never been so disrespected in my entire life. the management is the worst i've ever worked for and the people that i worked with were terrible. i would give them a zero if i could. when i called to ask them about my schedule the manager was VERY rude to me. and when i called to let them know that i would not be working there anymore, the manager didn't even ask why. he just said "okay. sounds good". they don't care about their employees. they only care about making money. read more

Every time I go to this restaurant I say I wont go back to the Vincennes Indiana location, but, every once in a while I give them another chance. This time? Not good. The BBQ pulled pork was not pulled, rather large chunks without any bbq sause. A small cup of bbq sause was served on the side. The meat had several lumps of nothing but fat. The french fries were so salty I couldnt eat them and sent them back. We barely got refills on our drinks then the server apologized. That doesnt cut it with me. I will think long and hard before I recommend this place or go back. For $20.00 it wasnt worth it to me. A frozen dinner would have been better. read more

1st had to ask for different flatware as mine was not clean. The fried pickles were good as well the filet. The filet was properly cooked to the meduim-rare i ordered. The seasoned rice was not for me had a beef bullion and something else after taste. The fresh veggies were 90 percent sliced carrots with 3 broccoli , but was still good. read more
