Today I wanted a late lunch so I got the kids spud with a side of fresh steamed broccoli. It was really good. Service was great. Melissa was a wonderful cashier and table server. Their iced tea is always the best and served fresh and made fresh throughout the day I wish this restaurant would get a remodel like the ones in the area like Evansville and Bloomington. The dining room is great little dated with pictures but has a nice atmosphere in the dining room is always clean and pleasant. Great value for your money. Excellent choice for lunch. read more

Nice deli with good sammies. The bread tastes fresh and the sandwiches have great flavor. The broccoli could use some salt or butter or something to kind of bring the flavor up a little, but all in all a good fast food sammy. read more

Used the app to place an order. It was completed early, which is always positive. Ordered the club salad with honey mustard dressing. Salad was full of flavor. Honey mustard has a little kick. Good stuff. Ordered two unsweetened teas. They were a little cloudier than normal. Normally their teas are crystal clear. Not sure if it is their ice or how it was brewed. read more

Was driving for 10 hours thru non stop rain. This place was next to our hotel so we tried it not expecting much. The Italian sandwich was delicious! The toasted it a little it made the extra meat a little crispy on the edge. I got the chicken avocado salad. I asked for the dressing on the side Because we were taking it to go. I absolutely adore McAllister's Deli - the food, the service, the southern feel to the restaurant. When I heard Vincennes was getting one I got giddy thinking that is going to be my new go-to lunch spot when I work there or visit family. My husband, father, and I ate there at 2pm on Sunday and the line was out of the door - yes out. of. the. door. This place is only a few weeks old so it's to be expected. It took us about 30 minutes to get up to order our food, which was a good time to decide what we each wanted to eat. We opted for the following meals: -Choose 2: Sweet chipotle chicken panini and Savannah chopped salad -Choose 2: Memphian sandwich and Italian chopped salad -Grilled chicken sandwich with fruit cup And of course some famous McAlister's tea to drink. We were pleased with our food - everything coming out correctly and delicious. As busy as the place was we were expecting our food to take a while to come to our table but it was there quickly. The entire time we were there the line was steady and always reaching the door. This place is a popular Vincennes restaurant now and I hope it does well enough to stick around for years! read more

The best southwest salad I have ever tasted!!! The chicken was very flavorful the avocado was extremely fresh and the dressing was amazing. As a California resident I have to say Indiana has their food jewels. Will definitely return and try other menu options. Had the rudest person wait on us. We did not get our discount when we presented our ID. When scanning the app they just mumbled what was that you just scanned? Very expensive and not very good food. I ordered a chicken pita,drink, and was told I got a side. I picked a salad, which turned out to cost extra. Then they came out and told me they didn't have pitas. They substituted a really bad thick bread. Very bad experience. read more

I have yet to order and pay what I thought the menu said the price was. The food is average and the pricing is deceptive. I think I'll do to a restaurant where I can calculate my cost and know what I should pay before I get a larger bill. read more

This new business is still working out its kinks but my experiences have been great. I've been three times since they've opened and tried three different things off the menu and each was delicious! The tea is always fresh and refreshing! This will be one of my new favorite lunch spots! read more

Manager refused to take my order, told me to go to the end of the line, I had been in line for over 5 Min. Order received with item missing. When server was told she was very rude. OMG!!! THANK YOU.. THANK YOU for bringing awesome food to Vincennes!!! I'm disabled, but my wife has picked up food from here many times since they opened. There isn't ANYTHING on this menu I have tried that isn't delicious. The first time, I got the 4 cheese grilled cheese, with the tomato bisque. This was very rich, but the cheese just oozed from the cibatta bread. Only thing is that it needed more tomato slices, so next time, I'll order 3 slices of tomato. The bisque is Rich, chunky, and a little smoky. Hearty and delicious!! Next time was the French Dip, with Swiss cheese and au jus, with chicken and dumpling side soup. That roast beef was so juicy, you didn't need to dip, but I dip anyway. The chicken and dumplings soup was great, but the small side soups are only filled about halfway up the container. My taste buds danced for joy!! The most recent times, (notice the s). I got the ham and cheese toasty, with ham, cheese, pickles, mayo, dijonaise (combination of mayo and Dijon mustard), but let off the spicy brown mustard as I don't care for spicy foods. I added the fire roasted vegetable soup side. AGAIN, the soup was only half full, but it was amazingly delicious. That is the best soup and sandwich combo I have ever seen. Next time it's both the Ham and cheese toasty and the French dip with fire roasted vegetables BOW, not the side and the chicken and dumpling soup BOWL. If you don't mind the crowds, as it is still new here, it's well worth the wait. And don't try to call in an order, they aren't taking phone orders yet, as their volume is still over the top!! Their opening day they served over 1400 people. That goes to show you that a new great place to eat was so needed here in Vincennes. Another place opened St the same time, but why go there, when we already have the best pizza in Bobe's, and you can get a great hearty sandwich, soup or huge stuffed baked potato at McAllister's. No contest.. THANK YOU FOR COMING TO VINCENNES!!! UPDATE!!!!!!!! THEY ARE ACCEPTING PHONE ORDERS!!!! Today, they were out of beef, so I ordered 2 Ham and Cheese Pasties, with soup, and decided to try their Tuna Salad sandwich. The Tuna is AMAZING!! Loaded with Tuna, lettuce, tomato, every bite was better than the last!! Best Tuna salad I ever ate!!. The side soup of fire roasted veggies was about 2/3 rds full and mostly broth, but tastes amazing. Wife just wanted chicken and dumpling soup, and the collossal carrot cake. They aren't kidding when they say collossal. It's huge and delicious. It's so nice now we can call in and pick up food without waiting forever in line!! read more

I have eaten at the McAlister's Deli in Grand Junction, CO on several occasions and loved it. It served great food in a timely manner. I wish I could say the same for the Deli in Vincennes. The first time we tried it we called in an order for take out. When we arrived to pick up our order we told they never received it from their call in center. No apologies were offered. We were then told we would have to wait another 15 minutes for our food. Giving them the benefit of the doubt we tried again today. My wife went to the restaurant to place our order. It took 20 minutes. When we got the food home I bit into my sandwich only to find a 4 inch toothpick in the middle of it. Fortunately I did not break a tooth or aspirate the toothpick. I am sorry to say I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. We will not return here. read more

Still experiencing some growing pains and has thinned out the heard of lackluster employees. However I think Mccallisters is on the right track has has improved my last few visits. Yesterday I had the best Ruben sandwich I've had for a long time. Ok just had dinner at our fairly new deli and I wish I could of had a better experience and have eaten at other McAllister's but this one misses the mark , soup was barely warm and so was the chicken which made me wonder if it was safe to eat , didn't eat the soup, seem to have several workers on hand but had to go to the counter for tea refill and in prior visits refills were offered. This is my fourth visit since the opening and probably my last which makes me sad I always like to support local business but each attempt has left me feeling the same way I hope they will look into this didn't finish my dinner read more

In town for business. Eat at two different McAlister's Deli location at home on occasion. This one was very disappointing. Cashier had a bad attitude and wasn't remotely friendly. The card they gave me with my number hadn't been cleaned in a while. It was sticky and greasy. Then my sandwich arrived and...well...see the photo. Got my food and spent quite a bit of money too. All the sandwiches and potatoes were wrong. I ordered a salad as well and the lettuce was brown. Took my sandwiches back for them to fix them. They fixed it was sloppy and the veggies were cut extremely too big for a sandwich. They took the meat from our other sandwiches and warmed it up so much that the turkey was hard. We ended up throwing all the food away. Won't be going back for awhile. Not impressed. read more
