I had the opportunity to receive a baby grand piano and was challenged with 3 things: cost, earliest move date/time, and if the piano would still be available. I found Two Friends Movers with a quick search on Google via Thumbtack app at 11pm and a representative reached out the very next day at 8am with a rough quote. I called back and we ironed out the details within the hour. They were able to help me move the same day with less than 1 hour notice of the move! I was so impressed from end to end the support they provided. They helped move our vintage baby grand piano from a 3-story SF home (with over 40 steps) to Daly City (3 steps). They came prepared with packing materials, tools detach and reattach the legs and sheet stand etc - and rugs to cover my floors during drop off. Fair pricing because of the crew size required with a base rate plus additional charges for stairs and complexity of the stair space. This is the fallacy of Yelp's recommendation system. I fell into it. You could. FIND ANOTHER company. Serious. Here is my true story. I moved by 50min driving time. I called 3 men crew, they worked approx 5 hours. I paid $760.00, which is indeed more that you could expect. 1. During the move, one crew broke my tea table. I forgave, not did not charge the cost. 2. In 1 day after the move, we found an expensive plant is missing. They took it out from the old place (this is correct because I took photos of the old place after they moved all the stuffs out). It never arrived. One crew member was interested in my plant during move, though I don't judge that he would steal. ) 3. I called Sean, the chairperson of Movers Anonymous, who did not answer. Left voice message. in 34 hours, I got a call back. Discussed. He promised to call back but did not for another 2 days. 4. I emailed him. He said he would return immediately. Never happened. 5. Now it has been 10 days. Sean, the chairperson of this company, never return my email/phone, and does not resolve this issue. Upfront before moving, I asked Sean about loss/damage insurance. He said they don't have insurance, but they WILL pay outof their pocket on any circumstance. Ask him. He will say the same thing. But will you believe him? Moving process takes so many contingency. It is not possible you can record and remember every step. That's why insurance and proper inventory keeping is important. Movers anoynmous is great in the sense that crew members are kind and diligent. Is that sufficient? No. your goal is moving safely. My goal was violated. I believed Yelp's recommendation (5 stars). Not for your valuable stuffs. Here is the last line: Movers Anonymous is not trustworthy.

We will be sharing photos of all the damaged items shortly on social media. For example, a $5000 TV was wrapped in one cardboard wrapper with x4 boxes loaded on top of it. Totally unacceptable.

He answered all my questions and replied back very promptly! Excellent communication. The quote was lower than other companies. We had other in-person estimates but it took them a week to get the quote to me. They also do NOT charge weekend overtime rates! Day of the move... the 4 movers were super quick, efficient, and strong. They clearly have a great system to get the job done. The laser engraver, machinery and even delicate plants all arrived in perfect shape. The final price was in-line with the estimate. WORTH EVERY PENNY Thank you guys!
