Being half Chinese, I learned Cantonese before English and chose to converse with the owner in Cantonese to refresh my vocabulary. I tried on a purple cheongsam from the rack, which I believed fit well. Mrs. Tam noted it required slight adjustment at the waist, so we returned a week later to try it on and collect it. During our visit, I met another family whose mother had driven from San Jose, and whose daughter, the bride-to-be, had flown from Los Angeles to have a custom gown made at Dragon Seed. Upon trying my dress again, it fit even better than before. Observing the bride-to-be's dress, Mrs. Tam suggested a minor alteration to the shoulders. Her meticulous attention to detail and exquisite selection of gowns were truly impressive. My gown cost under $350, a price comparable to those found online. Having read other reviews, I can only speak to my own excellent experience. I was able to converse with Mrs. Tam in Cantonese for nearly half an hour, during which she shared insights about her business and its challenges. I would wholeheartedly recommend this shop.

Neha ended up being such a great fit and really understood what I needed to feel comfortable and confident in my lehengas. It was an extremely collaborative process, and with Neha's highly detail-oriented approach, the final outfits were exactly what I wanted. In all, she helped with two lehengas cholis and a suit. Another great bonus is Neha has an extensive collection of boutique clothes, and one of my bridesmaids was able to find her perfect outfit for the Sangeet that was on theme and comfortable. She has many other options that range from the more traditional side to the more modern or Indowestern side. Highly recommend giving her boutique a look if you're attending an Indian wedding and want to find a beautiful piece to wear!

She has a great eye for detail and was very intentional throughout the process. Every fitting felt thorough and collaborative she would make adjustments, explain her thinking, and ensure everything was fitting perfectly. It never felt rushed, which I really appreciated. What stood out most was how passionate she is about her work. She genuinely cares about the final result, and it shows. My lehenga went from something I liked to something I felt amazing in the fit, structure, and overall look were completely transformed.

Q-Pot is a really awesome jewelry and accessories line. It mostly has a food theme so think chocolates, lolipops, and sweets with a cutesy twist. Their rings are adjustable, so good for those with chubbier fingers. Tyuake Tyoke is a shoe line. They have shoes with mirrors on the heel. They run small, I don't think they go beyond a size L. Aqua Doll is a wig line. Listen Flavor has a more casual feel to their clothes. Most of their shirts, jackets, and hoodies are oversized so if you are plus size, you will probably appreciate the sizing. Listen Flavor has a lot of pastel colored pieces so if you like the Fairy Kei Look, this would be a good line. They also have gothic themed items too like cute demon bunnies. The store is also having more events which is a plus if you want to meet others in the Lolita community. You are able to buy tickets after purchasing a certain amount of merchandise. The week before Valentine's Day, they had a novelty fair (gift with purchase). I ended up with a cute pass case, perfect to put my clipper card in. I didn't think it was possible to love this store even more than I did but Harajuku Hearts has really outdone itself. I recommend checking out their Facebook page for news and coordination ideas.

The staff here are friendly and attentive. As soon as I got in, the employees made sure I was served. I couldn't help but be mesmerized by all the alternative Japanese fashion and cute pink clothing. However, I was put off by how expensive everything was. That's too be expensive with this kind of imported clothing, but I wish I could afford it! In a sense, this place makes you feel like you're in a pink adult dollhouse. It's a good find!
