It's been a tough time for everyone... how do we celebrate a 50th birthday extravagantly but also safely with covid restrictions? ... let's hire a personal chef! We held a surprise birthday dinner for a family friend with 9 guests ranging from all ages. Nate and his wife setup and plan every aspect of the event leaving you with nothing to stress about. From table setup to menus to clean up - they are so truly professional and personable. We especially enjoyed how Nate came out to present each course in detail. I found Nate on Yelp. He is so meticulous, detail oriented, and has so much passion and enthusiasm for his business (he also cooks really well). He kept me in the loop on every detail of the menu and what to expect.Nate did not skip a beat, he was even able to accommodate my baby daughter and a family member with dietary restrictions. Our guests were wowed and impressed. I think we knew it was gonna be a great meal, but we just didn't know how great. It truly was a 5 star dining experience in the comfort of your home. It makes us feel spoiled and never want to eat in a restaurant ever again. If you are looking to host a special event or occasion I whole heartedly recommend hiring Nate. The food is amazing and the memory of the experience is unforgettable. Thank you Nate for helping us pull off such a special memory!

I hired golden state chefs for a corporate retreat. Nate was amazing ! His presentation was beautiful. The food was unbelievable! It was exactly what we were looking for. We have vegan and sushi and steak. The care that went into presentation was more than I could ask for and loved his talk about the food. Well worth it . I recommend him 100%.

Asian fusion heaven.

For the last night of my 50th birthday weekend in St. Helena, my wife surprised me with a 6-course dinner prepared in our Airbnb by Nate & Jackie. It was easily the culinary highlight of the trip, and one of the most memorable meals I've had in years. The food was inventive and meticulously prepared. The quality of the ingredients was top notch; for example, best sushi I've had since Tokyo a few years back. Nate reminded me very much of the super talented up-and-comers you see on Top Chef, and if you live in the Bay Area you can have the good fortune of having him in your own home to prep, cook, plate, and present. (And they'll leave your kitchen cleaner then when they arrived:) With his skills and demeanor, I have a feeling that in the not too distant future, he'll be difficult to get --- so I encourage you to book him now while you can!

Stop everything you're doing right now, even stop reading this review, and BOOK NATE & JACKIE FROM OMOTENASHI FOR YOUR NEXT EVENT!!!! I reached out to several private chefs for my 30th birthday party and was honestly met with some unfriendly and rude chefs as well as astronomical quotes for inflexible menus. Nate, on the other hand, was incredibly kind, professional, and more than willing to accommodate my budget & favorite foods. He created a 4-course menu especially for me and each *clap* dish *clap* did *clap* not *clap* disappoint. One of my guests even asked if they were Michelin star rated, kid you not. If you want delicious Asian fusion food and a stress-free professional experience, Nate can provide & more. Check out my photos of his dishes as proof. Nate & Jackie brought their own fancy dish-ware, table settings, and, get this, even cleaned up afterwards. My apartment complex manager said he couldn't even tell there was an event after we left because it was left so clean. My one complaint is that I couldn't take him home with me to cook for us everyday. In all seriousness, Omotenashi's the real deal.

Booked Chef Nate of Omotenashi for Father's Day Dinner. If you're wanting to make a special occasion really sensational, HIRE OMOTENASHI! The food was incredible - every bite was absolutely delicious and the presentation was exquisite. Chef was so easy to work with, professional, kind, and extremely talented. It was truly a fine dining experience in the comfort of our own home. They bring everything. EV.ER.Y.THING. All you have to do is clear off some counterspace and a shelf in your fridge. Chef literally takes care of the rest. He used our stove top and nothing else. And our kitchen was perfectly clean when he was all through. Pricing was reasonable for everything that is included with this experience. If you enjoy upscale dining, you'll find the cost pretty 'par for the course,' but if you're not familiar with the cost of fine dining, you may find this to be pricey. My advice: save up or throw down a credit card. This meal was 100% worth it!

I booked Gold Coast to do a 5-course fine dining birthday dinner for my husband's 70th birthday at an Air B&B we rented in the Sonoma wine country. Chef Nate is an amazing chef and a true culinary artist. All of us were amazed by every course. Freshest ingredients in every dish .... from the fish to prime steaks, veggies, and sauces. And the dessert was outstanding, too! Our daughter is pregnant, so he even made some cooked sushi for her so she could enjoy that course with us. Chef Nate and his wife Jackie are friendly, helpful and very professional. They brought everything with them, very organized, cleared each course and served the next with the right amount of time between each, described every course at the table, and served the wines we provided to be served. And, then, the kitchen was spotless when they left. :). I highly recommend them for a truly memorable dining experience. Thank you Nate and Jackie.

When he arrived at our vacation home for the weekend, he was on time and he was prepared, he came with everything he needed. We were enjoying some music and playing bachelorette games while we waited and he danced along with us while in the kitchen cooking. He was so cool and he fit right in, it felt like a friend or family was cooking for us. While we waited anxiously because the smell of the food during preparation was so good, he gave us fresh guacamole and chips and salsa. He made this amazing street corn appetizer that I don't think I can live without. WOW! The steak and pulled chicken were both cooked to perfection. We had corn tortillas, hard shell, pico de gallo, rice and beans the absolute works, and every topping your heart could desire. We also had this delicious shrimp salad that was so colourful and yummy to our tummies. Everything was seasoned to perfection and prepared just right. Let's not forget the unbelievably tasty margarita he made, I mean I was in heaven, I wanted to bring him back to Atlanta. Thank you for being so professional and responsive during the planning process. You displayed such a beautiful presentation of food and we had an absolute blast with you! This is what I would want to know if I had a catering company, as, it is going to adversely affect your company's future, should it not be rectified with your future clients. 1) No one contacted me when you were hospitalized and could not personally attend to our catering needs. 2) I called 2 days prior to the party to find out time food would be delivered and who would deliver.(security officers need names) 3) You answered my call from your hospital bed. Informed me you were in the hospital for the last month and "Jose" would be making and delivering the food and not to worry. You also told me to call Carolyn. I called Carolyn, who answered after several calls. She couldn't give me Jose's last name for security and told me Jose would be cooking at my home. 4) I prepare for a chef to cook in my home. (I was confused as this was not what I contracted for) 5) Jose's young son and a woman delivered one small tin 9"X11" of beef skewers, one 9"X11" tin of chicken skewers, one tin of rice 9X11, one tin 9"X11" of cooked vegetables, 1 large plastic bowl of salad with dressing, 1 round tin plate of deviled eggs(approx 30), 1 round tin of dried apricots with a almond and a dab of cheese(approx 30), pastry wrapped smokies ( approx 30). They also set up the buffet with wire racking, water and burning cans. 6) My 45 guests arrive( catering contract was for 50, for $5100.00 paid in advance on Zelle and a personal check). There is immediately not enough appetizers. Followed by running totally out of food and people complaining to my servers (hired separately from Unique Luxury Catering) that there is not enough food. Bill and I had a little salad and a chicken skewer.  Needless to say, Bill and I were mortified, embarrassed and we still are..... I would like to know how this will be rectified? --After 10 days, I have not received a response to this no drama, facts only email. Steve was able to ask me via email, the day after the party, how the party went. I waited a few days to calm down. I sympathize with his situation, however, I should have been contacted when Steve was unable to cater himself. If you contract with this company, I would get a count of how many or how much of each item will be brought and I would pay half in advance, half upon delivery.

The chicken was well marinated . The shrimp was bland. No one likes the bruschetta. Literally tasted like topping out of a jar! We all agreed the dessert and salad was probably the only thing we enjoyed. We had to order pizza after. I am sorry but we were not happy with our dinner. Maybe next time u can figure out a way to keep the food still hot And you definitely should triple the amount of sauce on your pasta!
