When my now-husband and I first dined at one of Santa Barbara Catering's restaurants, we immediately knew we had to have them cater our wedding. The variety of delectable food items made our mouths water and the taste is like nothing we've ever had before! Every hors d'oeuvre and entree we sampled had outstanding flavor and was displayed beautifully, even as a buffet. The vegetables were fresh and cooked just right, and the tortilla and parmesan crusted chicken breast was to die for! Our guests are STILL texting me saying how much they loved the food we had at the wedding! Not only was the food delicious, but Santa Barbara Catering's service and attention to detail was second to none. Our tables, linens and decor were laid out exactly as I envisioned. The beautiful colored napkins and fruitwood chairs really classed up our event and made the reception all the more gorgeous. Nobody was ever without food or drink in hand thanks to the fabulous wait staff who was working our event. There was even a gentleman who came all the way out to where we were taking photos with our photographers (which was a several minute walk from the reception) just to bring my groom and I water and hors d'oeuvres to make sure we weren't getting faint or too hungry to continue. We had the most beautiful, delicious dinner we could possibly have hoped for and we cannot recommend Artisan by Santa Barbara Catering Company enough! If you're having an upcoming event, you'd be making a huge mistake by not hiring this company! read more

So Santa Barbara was one the venders on the list for our venue and when we picked out our food everything was good.. and Corinne was very helpful and always kept in touch leading up the wedding.. the only thing I took couple stars off is that few days after we paid the rest of the total in which we did 14 days before the date.. we unexpectedly got an email saying that the chef needed another chef with her and it was going to cost us another $85.. we didn't pay but I just thought it was weird a catering company that does this everyday/every weekend the chef wouldn't k ow a head of time she needed help.. read more

OUTSTANDING is the only way to describe the quality of the cupcakes I ordered. The service was impeccable. I would recommend Santa Barbara Catering to anyone looking for superb quality and top of line quality food. I am so impressed. They were ready and waiting at the exact time they told me. I really could not find one negative thing to say. I was kind of speechless when the woman opened the box. Can't wait for my next event to see what else I can order from them. SUPERB!! read more

I have worked with many caterers over my years as a server. I think Santa Barbara Catering is probably the most organized and thoughtful yet. Their food is outstanding and they really offer great service to their clients as well as their employees. Just go with them and stop looking. You'll be happy. read more

We chose Santa Barbara to cater our wedding at the Phoenix Art Museum. I contacted them and three other companies on the museum's list of preferred caterers, and they beat the competition. They responded to my request and sent several sample menus with pricing. Their per person cost was higher than Fabulous Food, but the total cost was a good $2,000 lower. That's because they don't add on additional fees for labor, setup, etc. Lauren was a joy to work with. She responded to all my questions professionally and in a timely manner. She was patient with me through multiple menu changes. They even let us customize the menu with our own recipes. In the final walkthrough, Lauren thought of several details and clearly had a vision of what needed to happen. She helped brainstorm clever ways to keep rental costs down. I felt like she was on our side throughout the whole process. The tasting we attended was a group tasting at the Tempe Center for the Arts. That meant we didn't get to try the food on our exact menu, but it was a sampling of what they provide. We weren't all that impressed with the tasting--it tasted like pretty standard catering fare--but the food at the actual wedding was amazing. The stuffed chicken breast with spinach and fontina was divine. The presentation was beautiful (see photo of the buffet), and the staff were very accommodating. At the reception my dad and I decided to give the leftovers to Meals on Wheels, and they were happy to make the switch. I am so glad we chose Santa Barbara Catering and would recommend them in a heartbeat. read more

Artisan by Santa Barbara Catering - Buffet for wedding reception at the Phoenix Art Museum - Caterers Near Me

Santa Barbara rocked my wedding this last weekend at the Tempe Center for the Arts. Throughout the whole process the entire staff was prompt and responsive, able to cater (yuck, yuck) to our every whim. At TCA you only get one choice of caterer, which kind of annoyed me, but Santa Barbara brought it in the end. Our menu included 8 varieties of Italian apps, a glorious buffet with some of the best potatoes I have had in my life and a great bar which I was able to customize down to having 2 mini-kegs of Four Peaks for my out of town lushes. Cake and treats from Honey Moon Sweets were included to everyone's adoration. Totally pleased! read more

So, after getting a menu proposal from Santa Barbara a few months ago, I was excited to try their tasting and almost positive that I would use them for my upcoming wedding. They sound so good in theory, and when I have been to the Farm at South Mountain, the food has been great. Well, we went to a tasting for the catering and it was so meh. I was shocked. They had a chicken wrapped in prosciutto that was just dry and not flavorful. Their mashed potatoes tasted like it came from a box. The short rib was ok, but not as good as you would think. The good parts were the salads and dips. Those were very good. I have heard great things about this catering company, but, when this was their showing at a tasting, it made me too nervous about what the food would be like at the event to use them for my wedding. Sorry Santa Barbara. read more

We use Santa Barbara Catering at work all the time and it's great! The sandwiches are HUGE and flavorful - hardly typical catering sandwiches. I love the turkey with cranberry sauce, the roast beef on herb focaccia bread and tuna salad on a ciabatta roll. Mouth watering yet? Plus, the pasta salad is full of veggies and super addicting. I always look forward to the lunch leftovers in the kitchen when we have Santa Barbara Catering. Plus - I've been to a few corporate events they've catered and the food - no matter what kind - is always delicious and the staff/service is great. read more

I can only echo all of the positive sentiments previously mentioned. I too was at The Farm at South Mountain and had no choice of caterer, but with food this fabulous it made no difference. The food was the most commented upon aspect of the wedding by our guests, all of whom agreed it was easily the best wedding food they've ever had and was delicious wedding or not. And these are not easily pleased eaters! In fact, the food was even better than at the tasting! What more could I ask for? We were undecided on a second entree choice after our initial tasting and SBC let us select 2-3 things to try at no additional cost at another tasting. They made the process painless. We even decided to go with their dessert bar options based on the tasting and forgo the cake - why have just one dessert when you can have 4?! We had excellent service with fixed plates for myself and the groom (we got to eat first), were attended to all night by the staff in a ninja-like fashion. You can't go wrong it seems with Santa Barbara Catering. read more

We hired Santa Barbara Catering Company for a Celebration of Life in my mom's honor. Both Lauren Guthrie and Lauren Leonard were instrumental in helping me choose the best menu option that matched our event theme, venue and season (a hot summer day)! I was amazed by the efficiency of both women in communicating by email and phone-I never had to worry about any detail. They even had other suggestions unrelated to catering to help our event run seamlessly. The food was spot on! We feasted on a delicious and unusual variety of sandwiches, bruschetta and crudite's paired with scrumptious mini desserts. Yum! All the guests were wowed by the food. Their presentation is the icing on the proverbial cake-beautifully displayed with lovely serving pieces. We will definitely use Santa Barbara Catering for our next event-and I imagine our guests will too! read more

Recently we hired Santa Barbara Catering for my daughter's wedding. It was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From when we received the first proposal, the team executed our vision beautifully up until the day of the wedding. They were attentive, accommodating with the menu, professional, and their attention to detail was outstanding. We decided on a plated salad, an upscale buffet presentation for our guests, wine service during dinner. The staff during the wedding reception were professional and friendly. The food was outstanding. We had so many compliments on the food, Bruschetta bar, etc. that we highly recommend this company for any catered event, large or small. Taryn G. read more

Although my wedding ended up being cancelled, this was such a great experience working with this company. The food options were the most unique and creative catering options visually I have ever seen outside of televised cooking shows! They use fresh, local ingredients only, which is a BIG PLUS! The tasting has many great options, the presentation was to die for and the girls were so helpful and sweet. I love the vibe of the company. I looked forward to each meeting we had. Will definitely use this company in the future for all of our catering needs. read more

Santa Barbara Catering did a fantastic job! We ordered several platters of appetizers for a small cocktail party. The food arrived on time accompanied by easy-to-follow warming instructions and everything we needed to serve. Everything tasted delicious and the serving sizes were huge! The grilled veggie platter was not only beautiful but yummy too - even the veggie-haters loved it! The stuffed mushrooms and Thai chicken skewers were my favorites and the sauces were all great. Our guests were very impressed - we were too. Thank you for making our party a hit! We will be ordering from Santa Barbara again very soon! read more

I'm so happy I chose Santa Barbara Catering Company to cater my event at the Bentley Projects. We used them at my parents house last week and I have to say it was the worst food I ever had prepared by someone else..I think I'm even sick still from it. Let's just say I've been in the bathroom quite a bit the last few days... The two entrees were horrible. Tasteless green chili macaroni and some lasagna concoction that tasted like it was cooked 7 hours before it was served to us. Thanks but I literally have to run to the toilet... read more

Santa Barbara catered and provided all of the rentals from tables and chairs to linens for our wedding at the Desert Botanical Garden. The wait staff were very professional and I feel went above and beyond our expectations. Even though no rain was forecasted on the day of our wedding it started to rain after they had already set up for the reception outside. Santa Barbara moved everything to the inside location and did it quickly and with a smile. Our entire experience from contracting to tasting to the actual event was wonderful. They provide high quality food and service. read more

My groom and I selected short ribs, mashed potatoes, and green beans for our wedding dinner. Oh I cannot forget about our perfect late night burrito bar too! We had an incredible tasting, but the food on our wedding night blew us and our guests away! It was absolutely incredible, better than I could imagine- so good that I wish I could go "back" and get this meal for dinner again. I really hope I have another event to hire Santa Barbara and serve this dinner for :-)! read more

I was a little dissapointed with Santa Barbara Catering this past week. I reached out to them on behalf of my company for staff catering over a two day span. I researched the distance between their location and our site location which ended up being 20 minutes apart. When I initially reached out a staff member advised me that they could deliver and took my order; then a follow up call 2 days later left me less than pleased. I was then advised that they couldn't deliver because it was outside of their delivery area even after I suggested a higher delivery fee. There was no reasoning as to why they wouldn't work with us and left a bad taste in my mouth about the customer service of this establishment. A simple we can't do it,sorry is not professional at all in my opinion. read more
