Such an unassuming food truck, but don't let that fool you. This spot is a hidden gem!…read more Michelin rated, high quality BBQ. Love the Egyptian twist. The flavors of everything were spectacular. Stand out was definitely the mediterranean rice. I would have never thought to mix BBQ with rice, but this works. Overall: 4.5/5 [dine in]…read more We placed an online order for pickup on a Saturday and the earliest available time was 2 hours out. A couple of things to note: they charge a 10% online order service charge and a 3% credit card surcharge. When I got to the pickup window they asked if I wanted the food to go or dine in, and we chose to dine in so we could eat it fresh. They had to go containers available at the truck if you needed them. The portions looked small but were actually pretty filling. 1/2 lb Pomegranate and Za'atar Glazed Pork Ribs ($17): Came with 2 ribs that were okay. They were a little dry and lacking flavor on their own but tasted much better dipped in the pomegranate barbecue sauce. Combo Rice Bowl ($20): Came with mediterranean yellow rice, baladi salad, sauce, protein, cinnamon candied nuts, and pomegranate seeds. For the combo, you get to choose 2 proteins. I went with brisket and kofta (ground beef and lamb). Both were really good but a tad salty so the baladi salad helped balance that out. Egyptian Cowboy ($15): I chose lamb for this and it was the star of the show. The pulled lamb shoulder was incredibly tender and flavorful. The smoked mac and cheese was really good too but the rich bechamel was a bit much for us. The sumac pickled onions helped balance out the heaviness of both the mac and cheese and the lamb shoulder. Cardamom Pistachio Rice Pudding ($9.50): Pricey for rice pudding but I wanted to try the unique flavor. It was light but the cardamom flavor was strong. Interesting to try once but I wouldn't order it again.

We ordered the half order falafel with hummus, mint lemonade, lamb kabob platter, and beef kabob platter. Everything but the salad came in large Texas style portions. I requested the beef be cooked to medium and the temperature was perfect. Tips: Substitute the tahini in the kabob platters for tzatziki and request garlic sauce on the side. The garlic sauce enhances the flavor of rice.

Food is very good, service not so good... I can tell people…read morecome for the food alone. The place is nice and has a nice layout. However, I'll think about coming here again because I didn't feel a good vibe with the service. We had to go look for someone to show us the table even though the place was empty for early lunch. Then, to get drinks or even the order was a problem. It took so much longer than usual. Our waitress was rude, and seemed bothered that we showed up. Then someone else came as the waitress and she was preoccupied with other tables and barely checked on us. A regular lunch which would've been one hour became almost two because of the lack of service. My friend had to stand and look for someone to give us a box to take out the good we couldn't eat because it was getting late and also to get the check because No one came in to check on us at all. It was almost like pulling teeth to get a regular service let alone good service. Again, the food was really good, and that alone was the only positive.

We had made a reservation so as soon as we walked in we were seated inside in a booth ! The place felt cozy and comfortable as well as nice vibes ! They even offer bar seating ! They have a covered and temperature controlled patio too ! Our server was amazing and professional and answered all our questions about drinks and other stuff ! The cocktail were amazing - I was curious about their onion bagel drink I think that's what's it's called and my server got me a sampler ... definitely I went with something else . We ordered few dips and appetizers and 2 entrees! Everything was delicious! To end the night we got the Krembo dessert and OMG it's a must try !! Can't wait to ge back soon !!

They were happy to chat with us without forcing conversation. As a group of 3 we ordered the traditional hummus, whipped bulgarian feta, beet tahini, the cucumber labne, falafel, pan fried halloumi and baklava apple pie for dessert. The group was not what I would call big eaters so we had leftovers (we likely should have ordered 1 less dish), they recommend 2-3 dishes per person (dips and meze). The hummus was decent, but I would not feel the need to order it again, the bulgarian feta was delicious and was tied with best dish of the night with the falafel. The falafel had perfect texture, crispy on the outside without cutting your mouth and soft on the inside. The beet tahini just tasted like beets and nothing else so I would not get that again. The cucumber labne was tasty and the halloumi was the only dish I took a bite of and would not take another. The texture of the cheese was rubbery, so despite having a crunchy exterior and delicious sauce underneath, I found the halloumi to be extremely disappointing. I am not a chef, but if they simply grilled the halloumi and served it on top of the sauce I think it would be much better. Desserts are not my thing but my friends enjoyed it even though they admitted the baklava apple pie was painfully sweet. I liked that it came with labne ice cream to make it a bit different. Overall it was a nice meal, the ambiance is modern and clean and the service was fantastic. A good spot for a nice dinner out.

Some of the items are, of course, expensive, as they have traveled from overseas. But you can also find great deals on stuff like feta cheese and deli meats. We go regularly for Bulgarian feta, Italian mortadella and salami, Balkan lutenitsa, olives, and philo dough. Sometimes items are out of stock and the Lebanese owne shrugs his shoulderrs dejectedly; but this is part of the charm of family-run business like this. Plus the service here is always nice, professional, and very friendly. They are always willing to help you with whatever you need. And if you listen closely - you may even get some good stock tips as I hear the guy who runs this store is like the Lebanese CNBC Jim Cramer. I think they've said his nickname is the "Sihr Of Wall Street". I mean why didn't I listen to him when he told over 4 years ago to buy bitcoin? Sheesh! I was just there the other day and he was out of the office, I heard he's cashed out his coins and is buying up real estate left and right all over Texas. He practically owns a small town now, and his next venture is to run for Mayor. I told him he should run for Governor. Well I love the olive bar here - and I still go for those Turkish olives but they are hard to get but they now get similar olives packaged up in a tub, and they are not quiet the same but still pretty good - and these olives are unique and can't find them anywhere else. I also love their homemade packaged food they make in the back. Their quality is superb here. The garlic paste here is awesome. The hummus is superb. Love the grape leaves, tabbouli, and eggplant too. They used to have Russian Potato Salad here - haven't seen that in a while but it was so good. I love walking down the isles here and seeing all the unique things they import from other countries. A lot of sauces and spices and foods you can't get anywhere else. The baked goods and pastries up front always look good too, and they usually sell out too.
