I will admit that the food is good, but the service is horrible. No one greeted us when we walked in (strike one). Stacey spent about 10 minutes talking to two women who were at the register. She never once said "I 'll be with you shortly" or anything else that made you think she cared about the business or customer service. The only reason I stayed is because my husband wanted the food. Next time I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

My son bought a small bowl of saltfish and when I was eating it I found a long piece of hair in it. When I called to report it I talked to the manager Tracey and she didn't even care. Asking me what color was it, I told her it was long and I don't have long hair. That's nasty I will never eat there again. The one in Morrow. read more

The person seving the food today was very condescending and not customer friendly. Tall girl with Twisties in her hair. I bought curry goat and small oxtail we all know that oxtails have very few meet she gave me about three pieces of oxtail some little little pieces then a bunch of gravy now I think that it's ungrateful to have to pay $13 for a small oxtail meal and put three pieces of meat and some scraping in a corner in the rest vegetables and 2 plantings now I'm not sure she was afraid that all the food was going to be gone before she ate but that's totally wrong. I've gone at this restaurant many times and have never experienced what I experienced today. April 13th at 12. Curry goat was good and I asked a question about why is it that a small curry goat in a cup is $9 in the mail is 9 she said because you get more meat fine I was okay with that but it's almost as if this girl is monitoring not being customer-friendly and honoring the customers it's more about herself. Like I said I come here a lot this the first time that I have ever been treated like this and she was not willing to fix it the three pieces of meat was all I was getting the rest bones and that was that and pay my 1399 that's all she was concerned with thank you read more

in the last week food is ok and i'v been to plenty of different caribbean restaurants. this one has great patties, ok food, super pricy and horrible customer service! i've been 3 times and the last time i just said forget it i won't be back,to make the long story short. just know if shannelle is there it's going to be horrible service, she will throw your food together on your plate she will talk/spit over your food and she will not give you the amount of food you pay for and i paid $20.31 for one plate that feed one person ughh uselly when you spend that on one plate it's enough for 2,but that's not why they got 2 stars they got 2 because they really do have horrible customer service. read more

I am so disappointed. Usually I go to this location McDonough twice a week to get the cabbage and collard greens. The first time I ordered them it was a good deal $6.98 for large container that she drained the juice. Wow this time I went in and ordered the same the lady was giving me all this juice I asked her to drain some of the juice off she did. I then ask her to fill it with collard green and she said no. I started to walk out but I stayed. When I got home yes it was 3/4 filled. I won't be going there again for a while and when I do decide to go back I definitely will be speaking to management. The lady didn't want to be there so get another job. She had a bad attitude and most of the lady there are very rude. Obviously if this business want to stay in business hire another crew. read more

I had curry chicken. My food was very cold. It was also very oily and had a strange texture. I had to wait 10 minutes for plantains because they weren't "ready" even though it was 5:30pm. The service was not good. Workers appeared to be annoyed and/or tired. I won't return. I prefer nearby Pete's Carribbean Bakery. read more

Went for lunch and had the brown stew chicken special...the price was good for the amount of food they give you. However, the chicken had more of a sweet taste rather than savory. I felt as if I was eating sugar stew chicken. Don't think I will be returning, as there is another carribean restaurant in the area whose food is a bit more authentic tasting....I prefer Montego Bay read more

Food is ok . There is a young man that works there that is very rude , arrogant and angry . I witnessed him being very rude to a customer after she finished her meal . I will never return there again read more

Great patties and a very warm hospitable environment. Can't go a week without going to get more patties. Call ahead because they sell out fast. read more

If you ever visit McDonough Georgia you must stop at the Golden Krust on Jonesboro Road. I love Caribbean food and this place was as authentic As It Gets my sister-in-law has never had this type of food so the employees the good time to explain the food to us and what was they were she had the oxtail I had the curry shrimp both of us were very impressed food was amazing the quantity of this food was above what you would expect to get. The food was delicious and you will not regret it. Also make sure you try the plantain they're phenomenal. read more

I would like to thank the Golden Krust, McDonough location for excellent customer service. The building was clean and the aroma of Caribbean cuisine filled the building. A special thanks to the employee, ( wearing the red shirt) for your warm, friendly smile. The food was amazing and she gave a very polite, " enjoy" as I exited the building. If you are looking for the finest taste of the Caribbean, I highly recommend this place. I will definitely be back. read more

I would have given 5 stars but sometimes they are out of the item I went to get. The last few times I was there they were out of beef patties. Not a huge issue since they have a great selection on the menu . Curried chicken is great and the jerk is spicy. You can't go wrong with the menu choices. read more

Good food, sizable portion, except for the fact that I paid $18+ for oxtail, only to be given two small pieces of fried plantains. The young man serving at the counter was extremely polite. read more

I've visited this restaurant several times and on all occasions they are stocked with food on the line. Yesterday's visit was very rewarding. I had some red peas soup which was very delicious. The staff members are very pleasant. Nothing beats a great smile, an acknowledgment when you enter the store, clean and sanitary, great food and great customer service. Couldn't ask for more. read more

They run out of food a lot not good at all. The pans in the front are empty.they don't call to the back in time for more food to keep it going .they will call to the back for more food and the cooks will say there not making any more of that .Friendly staff and good food but all gone at all times read more

I wish there was a way you can give zero stars because that is what this restaurant deserves. My husband and I had a taste for Caribbean food, we normally go to Jerk Palace however we decided to give Golden Krust a try... Boy, how I wish I never opened my mouth to say let's check them out. I ordered a small oxtail meal with rice and peas with a coco bread and my husband had their lunch special jerk chicken with rice and peas. The rice was disgusting, it was tasteless and it was parboiled rice... What happened to cooking with real rice VS precooked rice, especially when you're over charging for your food. The only thing I was able to enjoy were the oxtails, it was very tasty. The cabbage was were tasteless and the plantains was a waste of my time eating it. My husband enjoyed the jerk chicken sauce on top of the chicken however eating it without the sauce it was extremely dry, he had a hard time eating just a little of the rice. The coco bread was so DRY served cold and hard, the taste was not pleasing to my taste buds. I put it in the microwave hoping that maybe it taste that way because it's cold. I turned the microwave on for only 20 seconds and it became so hard and broke like a cracker. I will never eat at this overpriced nonseasoning restaurant again. read more

Great food! My favorite is the jerk chicken with jerk sauce and festival. I also like the cornmeal porridge when they have breakfast.

This is a new facility and as a native Caribbean woman I was so excited to have this bakery/restaurant near by ....finally yes!! But not for long I forgot about the poor business of my fellow West Indian people. It is so hard to support with poor management. I arranged to have several cocktail patties picked up for a huge celebration . Made a down payment and confirmed the order only to arrive the day to have no patties ready. Sales girls looked confused and management was no where to be found. I was asked to wait 30 minutes for them to prepare frozen patties. I was not going to get compensated in any way for the inconvenience and mistake on their part. I asked for a refund and left disappointed and frustrated. Glad other food was prepared. Never again. read more
