All details requested were correct and the creative touches of detail that she added just enhanced the design so much better! Her customer service is great. I needed a cake for my baby shower and wanted something that I thought was original, simple, offered variety and tasted great. Unfortunately, the trend is that a lot of traditional bakeries have closed and we must resort to chain grocery stores or private cake makers. I found very few bakeries that offered a variety of flavors, styles and decorative options and if they did you were not able to alter designs or flavors which led me to find a private baker. My other dilema was that I wanted someplace close by so I would not have to travel far for pick up. I found McDonough Bakery through an online search in my area and received only 4 listings. I chose this Bakery due to variety of cakes, but could not find any reviews which is why I am reviewing here. I ordered a cake for my baby shower that was in the shape of children's playing blocks, with the letters spelling out the word BABY. The two cakes were to initially serve 20 persons, with one cake flavor of lemon and the other Banana Cream. Considering, I had no reviews to go by I was taking a chance. I must say I was not only pleasantly surprised, but the cakes went beyond my expectations. My main concern was that the cakes tasted great and resembled the picture provided. I left a lot of the creative details to Soni. Soni was professional, yet personal. She dealt beautifully with my strange taste requests and indecisiveness and offered suggestions when asked. She was even gracious enough to give me a banana pudding recipe which I am making this weekend one the bananas ripen. I later needed to increase my serving count to 30 persons and she assured me the cakes would be large enough to feed an additional 10 persons without having to make a third cake and she was right. I had enough for 30 and some left over for myself. My greatest concern was that the cakes tasted great and not artificially flavored like store bought cakes. I must say the cakes tasted great. The lemon tasted like a real old fashioned lemon cake. Everyone loved it and it was the first to go. I am sorry to say I did not have any left over and I have to now find an excuse to order another. I love banana anything so I ordered the banana cream cake. I believe is was actually a banana pudding cake, but that also tasted great and everyone enjoyed that as well. My only suggestion to anyone ordering this cake is to ensure you give amply notice so that the bananas are over ripe for when she makes the cake so you can get a good banana flavor. I thought this would be my favorite; and though I loved it I surprisingly liked the lemon better. In addition to the cakes tasting great and looking just like the picture, the cakes were also available on time without delay, which was very important since I was expecting a lot of house guests from out of town. Just Cakes by Soni provides great customer service along with a great tasting product. These two combinations are hard to come by and goes a long way in the business world. I strongly recommend trying Soni's cakes and services. You can not go wrong! read more

Never do business with someone that only do business by texting that was my only communications with this person the one time I called her on the day before my daughters event but she text me back ,with the reply that she works and she would send a picture of the cake ,when she was done that night,the tie before my daughters event.The next day event day she showed on time I asked her what kind of mix did she use ,was it a cake made from scratch , she said yes that was a lie I know scratch cakes ,this was a box cake dry tasteless I paid 125:00 no one took seconds.
