The Technician Sean was very friendly and offered quick service. However, he totally ripped my company off! He did not quote me a price, my mistake I should have asked but I assumed price would be on par with other locksmiths I have used in the area. I manage a fleet of 50 cars so have replaced many keys, typical cost $200 - $400 depending on type of key. Well, when the Tech was done making the key he asks if I want the receipt emailed or texted. I said just text it to me, then they guy drives away and few minutes later I get the text and it's a simple message that I have been charged $708, they totally took advantage of me and charged more because it was a business!!! Oh, and the text did not include a link to an invoice either. This guy totally ripped us off! Seriously this charge was more than what I would have paid at a dealership!! I tried contacting the business to get clarification and see if there was an error and never heard back. Scummy! BUYER BEWARE stay away from this place; there are other locksmiths who charge less. This guy didn't provide a reiept after my key fob was programmed. After he finished in about 3 minutes, we tried to remote start the car with the new keyfob, and it didn't work. I mentioned that my car had a factory remote start from the dealership, and he kept saying my car didn't come with it. I even provided proof of multiple videos of the same car I had, and he refused to listen and deny my car didn't have one. So I took my car to the dealership and they reprogrammed my keyfob. Now everything works the way it should. Don't bring business to this place. They are shaddy and will take advantage of you. The owner tried to get me to remove it but we have not so far come to agreement. ) HOW I GOT SCAMMED ON MAZDA KEY FOB (11/4/2022) My 2015 Mazda 3 has an original key fob with four working buttons: lock, unlock, trunk, and panic. So I needed an additional key fob. I knew that the new key fob needs to be programmed and its key cut. I ordered an identical key fob from Amazon. That key fob is exactly the same as mine but doesn't have the Mazda emblem. I searched on internet and contacted GOLDEN KEY LOCKSMITH (website: goldenkey-locksmith.com), and then Ester from GOLDEN KEY LOCKSMITH called me back. Her number is from Las Vegas, I asked her about it and she said that she moved to the Bay Area a while ago and kept same number. She said that her programming fee was $150 if it works, no fee if it doesn't work; she guarantees her key fob (cost $150) will work; if she comes to my place her service call would be $29, no fee if I come to her designated place. So I came to her place in Milpitas on 11/4/2022. (See attached messages between us regarding her fees.) She tried my new identical key fob and said she couldn't program it. So I had to buy her key fob which is not the same as mine. She programmed it quickly and gave it to me. Here are the problems: 1. First, that key fob doesn't have a physical key inside so it was just a remote. 2. Second, only lock, unlock buttons work; trunk and panic do not. 3. Third, my car shows a red key icon on the panel, and she said that she had to erase my original fob to add hers, and assured me that red icon will turn green later which never happens, it's still red now. I told her all those problems and of course she had hundreds of ways to defend it. 4. Then she charged me $300 + $27 tax which was also wrong because we only pay tax on merchandise ($150), not on service. I knew that I was scammed but had no choice to refuse because she was able to mess with my car (see # 3). She said that she would order me a new key and I have to travel to her again to get it. I texted her to make sure the new fob has a physical key in it just in case the battery goes dead. No answer from her. I contacted her again three days later, then she wanted me to pay an additional $85. In the attached picture: My original fob with key on the left; her crappy remote with NO key on the right and ONLY 2 out of 4 buttons work. (See attached picture.) I noticed on a Sunday night that the lock on my sliding door wasn't locking and I was freaking out. I called Golden Key Locksmith around 9pm and he was very receptive to coming to check out what was going on at 10pm. He diagnosed the problem, and told me that he would need to install a new lock on it for about an hour the next day. He came around 2:30pm, and I was still running errands at the time so I showed up around 2:50pm.
