So you know I had to oblige and suggested that we try Estiatorio Plaka in Greektown. I always love venturing over to Greektown for some really good Greek food. And if you like Greek wine, their wine list is really extensive. Every wine on their list is carefully chosen from Greek regions to complement our menu, highlight its unique character, and bring an authentic taste of Greece to your table. We pretty much went straight to dinner we both wanted fish this particular evening. I had the LAVRAKI (BRANZINO) which was grilled with capers and oregano and my date wanted the snapper (LITHRINI (RED SNAPPER) , he loves snapper. Both dishes come with a choice of two sides which you can swap out. I chose the horta(field greens) and rice, my date chose the broccolini and roasted potatoes. To be honest the broccolini and roasted potatoes are your best bet. The horta was a tad bland for my liking and really need some seasoning. The rice was ok. For dessert we shared the baklava cheesecake. Soooo good. Baklava is my fave Greek dessert. They also have a nice cocktail and wine list. I plan on returning because they have a really nice happy hour with $1 oysters, $12 fish tacos and $7 espresso martini's, so that alone I am sold on. The decor in here is absolutely stunning, and they also have a really nice bakery to grab some desserts to take home if you like. So if you are in the Highlandtown neighborhood, make sure you stop in, you will not be disappointed SYOY

The Lamb Shank Yiouvetsi was incredibly tender and tasted like a family recipe. Calamari, Greek salad, octopus was really good. Zucchini cips was too soft, mashy, wasn't crispy. We tried Bronzino it was good! The Rice coming with Bronzino pretty good! After dinner, we tried ekmek kadayıfı and Galaktoboreko . İt was Good!!! It's rare to find a spot where both the savory dishes and the pastries are flawless, but Estiatorio Plaka nails it. Exceptional service and a beautiful space! Decoration just like restaurants Plaka at Athens ...

The space has a comfortable, lived-in feel with a large wooden bar and plenty of seating that makes it easy to settle in for a while. The menu has a good mix of items like their handmade pierogies and chicken bulgogi wraps, and the bar always has an interesting variety of craft beers and cocktails on tap. It gets pretty busy, especially during dinner time, but the staff is always quick and efficient, and keeps the mood relaxed and welcoming for everyone.

The service was a little prompt but a little confusing as we had two waitresses that did not seem to be communicating since we got asked the same question multiple times by both. The food did come out quickly though! I ordered The Roma sandwich and swapped the fries for the kale caesar salad. The chicken was juicy and paired well with the fresh tomato, field greens, and creamy aioli. The fresh rosemary focaccia was buttery, however, it was still dry and flaky and fell apart rather easily so it was hard to actually eat it as a sandwich. The kale salad was veryyy creamy and heavily dressed with lots of cheese so that's great if that's your jam- I just enjoy a lighter salad. I did steal a french fry from my friend and they were salty, crispy, and quite delicious. The rest of the food was ordered by my friends and are their flavor reports. The hangover burrito was devoured by my two friends, but the words "structural integrity" were mentioned multiple times- unsure if this was due to a weak tortilla, wrapping skills, or a combination of both. My friend's shroom burger was average- the patty was a little dry and underseasoned, but the umami mushrooms and garlicky sauce saved it. The beet burger was savory, paired well with the vinegar and aioli sauces, and is a great vegetarian option. My biggest complaint about this establishment was the price. The food was all decent, but my bill for one drink and one sandwich was $50 total, which I deem as pretty steep.

The bartenders and staff are friendly and welcoming. The service was smooth. I got the vegan pho hot dog, I LOVE the creative approach! The fried green beans *chef kiss* As a big fan of mac and cheese, I was not the biggest fan of this mac and cheese. I wonder if the Asiago cheese (?) was quite strong, overpowering in flavor, I would recommend a lot of old bay if you order it, or if you like a basier mac and cheese then you will be a fan! Nonetheless, I really like this pub, definitely adding it to my list of cool places I'd show to friends who are coming to Baltimore. I look forward to coming back again and trying other vegan hot dogs on the menu.

My friend said I had to come here. We did. As soon as we stepped out of the Uber the adventure began. The building is so out dated but the entrance door held its charm. Neon lit Edgar portrait reading from a book his Annabel Lee. Complete with a bouquet of flowers. To the right more words of the writer surrounded with a few tables and chairs for those willing to chill in the cold. Inside was no different. Several crows, skulls everything you'd expect. And a well stocked bar. Many writings on the wall, articles, awards, etc all added to the vibe and theme. And of course dimly lit but you could still read the menu. We were guided to the back for our party of 5, in a corner away from everyone else. That made it easy for us to converse as we perused the menu exclaiming this and that of the dreadful names used and deathly ingredients mixed in. It definitely made it more appetizing. After working all day I was ready for a drink and settled on the To Isadore; gin, lavender syrup, lemon squeeze topped with segura cava. That hit the spot. Unfortunately, I had eaten quite a bit on this trip and forced myself to order the Chef Salad. Nothing more to say there. My wife, though, ordered the seafood lasagna. Never had that and it didn't sound like something I could get into. I was wrong. This is Baltimore. The seafood here is astounding. It was delicious and had to take a couple spoon fulls. My friend ordered the double beef patty burger. I was jealous until he offered me a bite. That was really good too, and juicy. If you're looking for an experience and are not too afraid you may want to visit Annabel's. I do recommend it and do insist coming after the sun has been well down.

It's there and cooked without oil immersion or the awful trap of terrible portioning. Here, the nutrients shine. And that is healthy. Price: Decent. Very Decent. Everything I bought there was roughly over 45 dollars (before the tipping) and keep in mind, the condiments and sauces were complimentary. For this quality and quantity? I definitely got my money's worth. Experience: Wonderful server. Even in a busy dinner cycle, she came over and literally started to hand me a menu almost right as I sat down. Even gave me a great recommendation for the Enchilada platter and brought the holster of extras over to the table as well. The food was delivered quickly, and the small details (utensils, cleanliness, chair organization etc.) were great. Taste: Honestly this place is a standout for seasoning. It's flavorful, unique, and skewed towards spices over oil. Tasteful impact, without the baggage. A gem. Even among so many other restaurants serving this cuisine in the area I've tried, this is a standout. I'll come eat here again. You should too.
