DO NOT TRUST this company to do a thorough inspection if you are buying a house. I don't know if he…read moreis on the seller's side (maybe shady owners and realtors know to use him?) or just negligent and/or incompetent. There is another one star review that I would like to echo. We bought a house that this company inspected. He pointed out a few superficial things like a couple boards on the deck that needed replacing and some caulking that needed replacing in a bathroom. Fine. But for the attic, he wrote about two lines that a vent needed repair and there was "some organic material" that could be sprayed with fungicide. A month later, we move in and hear rats partying in all the walls and the attic. A professional goes up there...every single bay covered in black mold. All the insulation is complete Swiss cheese. So obvious that when I see pictures (I've never even been in an attic and know nothing about it) I can tell it's a complete rat's nest, literally. Nests and rodent excrement everywhere. Scattered mousetraps. Now we are going to have a bill for over $10,000. Shame on us for not doing proper due diligence. Don't make our mistake. If you see this company's name on an inspection report, either run away, or if you are in love with the house, pay a signicant amount to do your own inspection. Which you should probably do anyway. On the flip side, if you are offering on a house and some other group did an inspection and you want to o your own (good for you), DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

But most important - when he was in the attic he looked inside the walls to find out that the studs are charred. Most likely the house was on fire, which may impacted its structural integrity, which was covered in fresh drywall.

Don is the best. Thorough, ethical and no nonsense…read more I have referred Don dozens of times to clients. He provides tons of information other inspectors will not. He is a fountain of information such as the age, life expectancy and proper use and maintenance of dozens of systems and appliances. Beyond just what is broken and in need of replacement, he provides homeowners with information to maintain the value of their homes over time. He also takes the time (or more accurately his wife takes the time) to provide a thorough written report with photos to help document anything of interest. I couldn't recommend Don more highly. He is always my first call after one of my buyers comes under contract.

It's been years since I've added a new inspector to my bullpen but I think I'll move Don to the top of my list. He could not have been more thorough with his inspection, more generous with his explanations, more genuine with his care & concern, or easier to work with. He's an absolute credit to his profession. Big bonus points for doing thermal imaging as well (great for detecting moisture intrusion and other issues you otherwise wouldn't see!).

I would absolutely recommend Reid to anyone needing an inspection. This guy went above and beyond…read morethe call of duty. Actually, more like below and beyond! Let me explain: the seller is out of the country and hired a contractor to put a new deck on the house before selling. Apparently the contractor built the deck over the crawl space entrance, leaving no clear access to the space. This meant we would have to have the seller hire a new deck guy and then have the inspection be completed at a different date. This would have derailed our entire closing timeline. Instead of letting all that happen, without saying a word, Reid suited up and found a way to shimmy through the small opening to get under the house. And he found a bunch of issues that needed attention! Thank goodness he did that! I even tried to tip him for his efforts and he wouldn't accept. Class act, this guy! Not only was he completely thorough and went beyond the call of duty, he also sent us a 41 page report outlining everything in detail so we know what's going on with the house. He also sent a summary report highlighting what was in the longer report. Really fantastic! And if you're extra nice, maybe he will let you meet his brilliant dog. :)

Given the other reviews, maybe I just got Reid on an "off" day. The day of the inspection, I was…read morereally happy with his focus and the amount of information he provided me with, but I was very disappointed when I got the written report. There was plumbing under the house that had been cut out (bank owned and not secured so some plumbing and electrical were ripped out) but he didn't take any pictures of it, or even include it in the report. We requested he amend the report, and he did, but did not even apologize for not including this important issue in the first place. He told us that there was a likely leak or break in the water main but did not include it in the report. When asked to add it to the report, he did not. I get the feeling that he was speculating and did not want to document this?? If he felt it was important enough to tell us about it, it should go in the report as well. At the end of the inspection he told me I would not find anything substantial in the report that we did not discuss during the inspection. The report included multiple items (such as unsupported floor beams) that were not brought to my attention during the inspection. It was extremely important to have a thorough written report in order to request repairs from the bank. We had to request multiple revisions of the inspection report and in my opinion, that should not have happened.

I just purchased a townhouse and I had Full House Inspection Services do the inspection. Stephen,…read morethe owner, was recommended to me by my realtor and, once I heard about his background, I knew he was the person to go to! Stephen is on the Governor's Home Inspection Licensing Board, which means he was involved in the development of the current standards for home inspectors in Washington. Because of this board, all home inspectors are now required to be licensed and trained prior to working. Knowing he was involved in the development of these standards was really interesting and easily gave me the confidence to go ahead and use his company for my own inspection. Stephen really knew his stuff. I followed him around as he thoroughly inspected the townhouse. He pointed certain things out to me and gave me answers to questions I didn't even know I had! He was extremely knowledgeable and professional throughout the entire inspection. A day after the inspection was completed, I received a full report with photos and details about any issues he had found. The report was extremely comprehensive and helpful. There wasn't a lot that needed to be addressed with my property, but it was nice to have it laid out in an easy-to-read report. I would highly recommend Stephen and Full House Inspection Services to do your home inspection!
