I actually liked this place despite the reviews. The crab rangoons were fresh and crispy. The sweet and sour chicken was good. The fried rice was a bit darker than I like but it wasn't that bad. Only thing was that the beef lo mein was a bit too salty. But I would get it again. Fair prices. Yummy food! read more

Stopped in one night when in the area for take out and after reading on Yelp it was ok we decided to give them a try! Crab Rangoons were good, everything was decent. Will have to try again, and promise to take pics next time! read more

This is the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my 50+ years on the planet. Chicken chow mein is gross the sauce is black and tastes burnt with no vegetables or chicken and no flavor. The pupu platter lives up to the name of poo poo. Boneless ribs were chunks of pork not the traditional ones you usually get chicken fingers were greasy and flavorless. The egg rolls are frozen egg rolls from a food distributor same as the dumplings and shrimp. These are not made in house. The best thing was the pork fried rice but even that needed salt. What Chinese food needs salt it is usually too salty . Service food was ready quick and the place looked pretty clean. Would I give it another try no way and I suggest you don't as we there are better options in the area read more

Gave a homeless man on the corner 10 dollars to buy some food. physically saw him give the 10 dollars to them and he was supposed to be given food. they instead took his money, did not give him his food, and closed up and left before he could come back. terrible service, stared at us with ugly remarks while giving him money. they were immediately rude to him as he walked in, barely giving him attention and just nodding. terrible place, no reason to deny a man his food just because he is homeless. read more

Holy smokes has the food quality gone down. I wouldn't feed this to the rats for fear the ASPCA would come after me.

Golden Dragon has to be one of the best Chinese restaurants around. The food is great, the prices are reasonable and the portions are huge! We order from them about once a month and I don't think we've been disappointed once. I'm extremely sensitive to MSG and have NEVER had a problem with their food. If you like noodles the Beef Chow Fun is delicious, so are their egg rolls! This is our go to Chinese restaurant since most places are so expensive now. Golden Dragon is the best! read more

My favorite Chinese food. Shrimp fried rice, bbq beef skewers and chicken fingers are the BOMB! Love it

Great food! Love the scallops and egg rolls. Big generous portions. Lots of protein in the entree and extra leftover for lunch the next day.

The chicken has been refried more than once ...that's for sure ...it's dry .. hard to chew supposed to be white meat could've fooled me ..just a shame ... mine went in the garbage disposal...What a waste of money... read more

The teriyaki beef was very dry as was the rice. Crab Rangoon was ok but their egg rolls are the best. Not sure if I'd order again

Exactly what we were looking for: dark brown New England-style fried rice; tasty egg drop soup with wonton crunchies; chicken with broccoli had tender chicken and large crisp broccoli. Nice people working at this restaurant. Take out order was prepared quickly, and we were out of there in under 10 min. Open late for Taunton (9:30pm). We'll be back. read more

Small portion on a pu-pu for three. It was delivered in two combination plates... Taste was satiable. Egg rolls were all burnt and definitely don't have the pork inside. The rice was on point. read more

I don't know what happened to this place, but tonights order was definitely the last time we'll be ordering from here. We always found the food to be acceptable, but no more. Last time there was a noticeable change in the tastes and quality which we attributed to a "bad night", but after tonights fiasco, I sad to say, we're done with Golden Dragon. I don't know what happened to the beef lomein, but there was virtually no taste in the sauce (the beef was ok). My wife ordered a combination plate. The chicken fingers were way overcooked, the general pao was passable at best, and instead of chicken teriyaki, she got what appeared to be sweet and sour pork (on sticks). Not even close, certainly not worth the price of any of it. Sorry Golden Dragon, but labeling yourself "Taunton's Best" is totally out of line. read more

Yikes. Food made me sick. Duck sauce wasn't even duck sauce it was straight up gross. Shrimp was definitely previously frozen and tasted like a Tyson chicken nuggets. read more

Wow, I never even seen Chinese food look like what came in our PuPu Platter. Ugh I'm pretty sure those were frozen shrimp that actually looked like Tyson Chicken Nuggets but with a fin sticking out of the breading. OK I gave it at least one star because the boneless spare rib nugget thingy majiggy's were actually edible. I could almost blow a bubble with the rice it was That chewy, lastly the lobster sauce tasted like a Price Rite Brand Can of Beef Stew before adding water. Best $80.00 spent, SAID NO-ONE EVER!! read more

The food is excellent for the low prices. Especially the boneless ribs which where cubes of meat rather than the usual strips. Food is served quick and the counter staff are very nice. Limit yourself to takeout though. The inside of the restaurant is pathetic with wobbly tables and questionable chairs. Even the front counter is disintegrating. read more

Excellent food & my order is always right! Average wait is between 20-30 minutes tops. Moving this way from Boston I was so disappointed I couldn't find good Chinese like I had in the city until I found this place! Reminds me of home. read more

Food was okay. Their setup during COVID has a decent idea but needing to talk into a intercom while wearing a mask can be an issue and having a rude response because they can't hear me even though I repeated and spoke very clearly is a turn off. I doubt I'll be back. If I could give a 2.5 star I would but I'm rounding down because of the rudeness. read more

I don't know what drug they put in their beef with broccoli but I'm an addict. A beef broccoholic I've became since working near this place. I think of that tender beef and the crunch of the broccoli coated with that tasty brown sauce and I just start jonesing. Maybe it's the saltiness. So if you don't crave that then this isn't for you. Find a new food drug. I've only tried the egg rolls and the fried rice also bc I don't care about anything but that B and B. But the egg rolls are good. They aren't too greasy or filled with way too much cabbage. The fried rice is standard but a good amount of stuff besides rice in it. read more

Let's be honest- hole in the wall Chinese restaurants are cookie cutter in the presentation, the ingredients, the sauces, and the end product for the most part. Golden Dragon? Dinner menu is off the charts with portions for a mom and pop Chinese establishment. We've all gotten the combination platter with three quarters of the styorfoam take-out plate of rice, one corner of the entree, a piece of chicken teriyaki, and a pair of chicken fingers the thickness of your thumb. Nope. D17 (Gen. Tsos), extra spicy: Half the box is entree, the rest rice. SIX chicken fingers the diameter of a silver dollar. Three skewers of teriyaki. Hit ten bucks on the order and ask for spring rolls? Free pair of them. It's far more than fair for the price. Sure, you can go to Hong Kong City if you want to wait and dine in some measure of elegance, but if you want take out and have leftovers, this is the spot in Taunton. read more

Tried this place for the first time last night. Ordered the D17 combination. General Tsaos chicken, chicken teriyaki and chicken tenders. About ten dollars...and it was enough food for a family of four, easily. It was all delicious. You would be hard pressed to find a better value elsewhere. Also, the service was outstanding very nice over the phone...it was near closing time when I arrived and they could not have been more friendly. I highly recommend this place if you want good Chinese food. read more

Prices are cheap but I guess you get what you pay for!! So gross. Fatty meat and just sour flavor. Never again!!!!

Food was ok. Mostly edible, not really great. Everything has an old dirty fridge taste. Spring roll was horrible, couldn't eat at all. I got a Pupu platter and pork fried rice. Rice was actually not bad. Everything else was mheh... read more

I never used to come to this place. Always go to lucky corner in Raynham or Big Wong in Taunton. I finally tried this place and Oh My Goodness! This is by far the best Chinese food in Taunton. I love the chicken chow mein (small is like 3.50 nd large 6.50). I would definitely recommend you try Golden Dragon. It doesn't look like much on the outside but family friendly and the prices are awesome for great quality food. The fried rice is moist and all food is no msg and tastes more homemade than usually. Especially the sauce for the egg foo young, appears to have little bits of mushrooms and has a more authentic taste that I've never experienced before at a Chinese restaurant.... Give them a try. Definitely reccomend. read more

Food was mediocre and the pan fried ravioli had no taste whatsoever. service was sub par.

This was our first time trying Golden Dragon. We ordered Saturday night around 7pm, and it was ready in 15min. The food tasted very fresh. We got the D17 combination plate and a few appetizers. The chicken fingers, beef teriyaki and crab rangoon were all very good. We would definitely try them again. read more

I don't know how it happened but this place went from being very good to pretty Bad, last 3x's we ordered it has been less than good and then tonight I ordered lobster sauce and an egg roll = the lobster sauce was not edible I am positive whatever is in it is spoiled & gooey. The egg roll smelled like the cabbage was about a month old. Very disappointed it was one of the best around for take and now I don't even want to drive by it, I think I have ptsd from the lobster sauce... read more

As my wife put it, "it wasn't bad bad". But I can tell you it was bad. Chicken Lo Mein was okay. Then it went downhill from there. Teriyaki beef was low on teriyaki. Curry chicken was weird. Spring rolls were empty. We got a to go order and asked for extra hot mustard and extra duck sauce. They gave us neither and I had to ask for it. They offer you the crappy duck sauce in plastic packages you get at the airport. This is a fast food style Chinese place. I highly recommend that you avoid it. read more

If you want basic Chinese Food, this place does it. Food was good. It works and worth it for some quick Chinese food.

Easily the best quality Chinese in the area. General Tso was crispy and the sauce was fantastic. All the right notes of sweet, spicy and sour, and very garlicky (which I like) the owners were incredibly nice people, and the lunch special INCLUDES a drink! Now that's a deal. Check this place out ! read more

The server was super rude there was this lady beside her and every time I said something she would look at her like look at this lady how stupid I told her what I wanted and she told me that she couldn't serve me besides that food is your average American style Chinese food read more

I ate here for the first time, last night, even though I've driven by it for years. I figured I'd give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered pork fried rice, pork chow mein and chicken wings. They included a small white rice (for the chow mein, I'm assuming?) and a package of 2 free spring rolls (they wrote the word "free" on the wrapper). I very much enjoyed the fried rice and chicken wings, although I was not crazy about the chow mein. But hey, 2 out of 3 isn't bad, in my book. I'll go back again and try some other things, next time. Overall, I was happy. read more
