The servers were friendly, and the tables and dining area seemed clean. BUT the plates and bowls were filthy. You'd have to look through 10 plates before you found a clean one. We ended up just leaving. read more

The food wasn't good at all. We was there after 2:00 and it was just like leftovers from lunch time! It was nasty and the rolls you couldn't even bite in to them cause they were hard! The desserts was dried out! Will not be back! read more

The waiters and the waitresses are super nice. Joseph does an excellent job cooking steaks. He makes you feel good as he serves you your steak. We keep coming back every week. Great service and food! read more

We have been here a few times but today was a real disappointment. First thing, we had a hard time finding a clean table. Next, a lot of the food items were empty and had not been filled up. Third, the place needs a complete rehab-see the picture. Our waitress was super nice but extremely busy trying to keep up. Don't think we will be back. read more

Golden Corral Buffet & Grill - Seating - Buffets Near Me - Dothan, Alabama

I so wanted to give more than 3 stars because my steak was actually really good but the second I walked in there was this gawd awful smell that almost made me leave ( no joke it smelled like nasty body odor ) and when I asked the cashier she said ya I smell something as well but kept doing her job ‍. I sat down and went to get a salad and steak & actually had to ask someone to come over to the grill because there wasn't anyone there @ the grill station. So like I said the Steak was good as well as the salad. But that dang odor inside the place was really strong and I swear I could smell it on the shrimp and fish as well. My server was super nice and kept my diet coke topped off. I wanted to get some banana pudding but it was gone when I went back up to get some but I needed to hit the road. read more

If not giving a f#$/! was a restaurant it would be this place . Way overpriced for mediocre food . Hardly had any food on a Saturday night .

On 2/27/2024 my mother took me and my son to the Golden Corral in Dothan Alabama O our birthdays she spent over $60 we got there at 3:30 in between lunch and dinner there was no clam chowder I wasn't aware of the clam chowder or any of the soups only available during lunch I thought they were available all day there was no butterfly shrimp waited 30 minutes for wings the roast beef looks so nasty and dry and overcooked the pork I guess that's what the other one was was nasty it was dry I didn't see no orange chicken everything that was advertised that you see on TV and you see on a little TV and Golden Corral they didn't have so basically me and my son's birthday was ruined because they didn't have any of the stuff that was advertised to be there management was not helpful so unfortunately my mother will not bring us back to Golden Corral nor will I ever give my business or my money to Golden Corral it was a very disappointing visit there was nobody in the bakery department couldn't get caught in candy unless you don't offer it no more there was no strawberries actually the pakery looked pitiful why have something advertised when you could see it on TV inside your restaurant that shows strawberries and chocolate and they don't have it there's nobody even there to help not one person was helpful at all our birthdays was ruined we had four adults with us read more

For $40.00 plus at dinnertime for 2 people on disabilty that is way too much for Overly Salted Food and not enough choice for me. They can't even keep what good product on the line at the safe temperture. My cottage cheese went off before i could eat the rest of it. In a small bowl. They didn't keep the Ice Cream Station clean worthy of mention. Ice cream was overflowing the counter. The Pasta was both over and undercooked. The sauce bland and almost didn't taste like tomato at all. They say they do NOT use salt on their food BUT when someone goes out of there with a headache and dizzy, You know something is up! I used to go here all the time but not anymore. I can cook better than they can and get WAY MORE for my MONEY! read more

I wanted to treat myself for my birthday on October 28th 2024. Golden Corral has been promoting their hot wings. I went to the hot bar and there was no hot wings. I asked someone in the kitchen and my server about the issue and they couldn't give me an answer. I then found a manager and asked her. She blamed it on truck being delayed. My wife and I went there a couple of months ago on a Wednesday evening and the dessert bar was empty and the hot bar was missing some food. I asked the manager about it and she stated that the truck would be there on Thursday. It's always about a truck there. The franchisee needs to quit opening new restaurants around Dothan and start keeping food in his store. People save your money and go somewhere that actually has food. read more

Crappiest shit ive ever tasted for 50 bucks i couldve bought fortnite skins. Good funny waiter tho

The food is good. But the ice cream melts quick and they having a cone for it is rare. The service is alright and the ambiance is good.

It's nasty you get up there half the food is all over the serving area of the food is at room temperature. It's not hot the wait staff there acts like you owe them something I did not enjoy eating their other ones may have different options but if this one it was not very good, I would not recommend that people eat here especially in the afternoon at dinner time unless it's on a day that you think they're going to be slow. ain't nothing like having food that taste like it's been sitting there for three or four days who knows how long it's been there read more

We went here tonite to celebrate 2 birthdays! The only good thing here was the Server,Christy. The fish was cold & tough. The Salad was very tough., it was full of raw Collard greens . My husband usually eats a large green salad at the Golden Corral in Douglasville and could not eat this Salad in Dothan. The other food was mediocre at best. Disappointing stop . read more

Me and my son ate here tonight and it's absolutely disgusting and horrible! No food on the buffet was fresh, the smell of this place is absolutely horrible, and the tea tasted like it was old! I usually don't leave reviews but here it is 4:18 am and I am now sick on my stomach and so is my son... so, just stay away from this place! read more

This was our second time here an it was worse than the first time. There wasn't any air conditioning the salad bar hardly had anything to even make a salad with an food all over the area. There wasn't any chicken out so a line was waiting an the fish was half cooked the ice cream machine was only doing vanilla an it just kept coming out of the machine. The Texas toast was hard an the potatoes was cold didn't matter what kind you got we just thought maybe a second visit would be better. read more

It's not anywhere near a steakhouse let alone a place I will ever go again. I personally set aside a half dozen plates from the clean stack with food still on them and others were doing the same thing. I also suffered with the worst case of FOOD POISONING I've ever had I couldn't eat for three days and had to go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment... Being a truck driver I've eaten at many buffets all over the country I will never ever go back to this one. There are many better places to eat if you want a buffet I highly suggest you pick one of them and stay clear of this establishment. read more

I'm not sure how this place stays in business. Their Health Rating is 89, but looking around I'd say the Houston County Health Dept is very generous. There was very little food, no salad dressing, slow service yet servers standing around everywhere. There was never anyone servicing the salad bar and the food was never cleaned from spills on the bar. Just overall disgusting. Before the owners opened a 2nd restaurant this one was ok. Obviously there is no management at this location at all now that he's gone. read more

Plates were dirty with food stuck on them, seemed understaffed, dirty tables everywhere(had to wait for them to be cleaned), hardly any food out. Waitresses seemed overwhelmed and stressed. Wouldn't consider it a family friendly place due to the amount of people in there that made the place smell of weed. Food wasn't good at all My family and I will not be going back. read more

had lunch there , the pulled pork was tender , the tea was good the rest of the food was ok - not great / not bad . The waitress was very nice !!! read more

Gold Corral isn't a restaurant -- it's a test. A test to see how much food you can eat in one sitting, and then try to save up enough room for dessert. It's a purely American experience -- if you have relatives from overseas, definitely bring them here. The exposure to just how plentiful and easily accessible massive, heaping piles of food are in America will leave them wanting to move over immediately. read more

The only good thing about my visit was the cashier that greeted us at the door. I took my son and sisters out and we've dined here before but this was by far the worst experience we've had. Our server didn't even greet us so we never knew her name and had to wait 20minutes for her to come from the back to take care of us. When she did come over she grabbed our stack of plates and walk away so fast we had to get her attention for a refill. The new sprite refill cup for my sister she came back with was dirty all around that she didn't even want to drink it. We had to dig through the entire stack of plates when we did get food because they were all wet with crud stuck to them. Had to also ask cashier for plastic ware because the silverware looked like it was just repackaged off of someone's used plate. The food was unappetizing and wasn't fresh at all. The only thing my son ate was pizza. On top of that the staff itself was coming from the back arguing with each other in the dining room using profanity in front of my son and sisters. Crazy to experience this in a family restaurant. On top of that when i spoke to a manager, she refused to give a refund because the server would've had to dig through the trash to find out receipt she threw away from our table, telling us we should've paid with card instead of cash because there is no other way for her to issue us a refund. She had an attitude because i wouldn't accept her free dining voucher and told her i would contact the owner concerning this matter because she was not helpful at all. Why would i want a free dining voucher to come back when this experience was so poor ? read more

Just left this restaurant and it was a mess...long lines because of no seats then no food on the buffet once inside... There was a black arrogant manager that was being nasty to a guest and continued to harass this guest and others...he was laughing and being a fool and in no capacity of being a member of managment...i asked on the way out wgar his name was and the cashier told me it was Parker! Syay far away from this eatery...and this manager needs to be demoted ir go for serious retraining and he needs to know that you don't treat people like that...without customers you have no restaurant! Time corporate steps in and turns this place back to good...until then I'll spend my money elsewhere... read more

They do fried chicken fairly well. The sides are hit or miss, many overcooked and mushy or sitting around too long. The mac and cheese is an abomination, the macaroni is so overcooked it's disgusting. Very disappointing. But it's cheap so people go. If you can afford it go anywhere else. read more

Hate to do it but I have to give one of my favorite restaurants a less than stellar review. The food was exalent as always however the greater/ cashier we had Emily was not welcoming at all almost to the point we thought we were doing her a dis service by coming in. Someone should give her a pep talk about not giving costumers the cold shoulder.. Tonight I'm leaving two stars at a normal 5 star spot. read more

My mother and my wife love the fried chicken. The steak is a little tough. The sides are pretty good. I'm just not too fond of a buffet where the parents turn the kids loose and let them get their own food. I've seen too many lick the utensils. The food is not good enough for the price. read more

Horrible!! There was hardly any food. They wouldn't refill a lot of the pans. Our server was not friendly and basically ignored us. We will not go back ever! Overpriced and definitely not worth it! read more

The remodel looks great. Food was superb. I remember when it seemed they had faltered but they are definitely back on their game. My husband loved the fried catfish and shrimp. Pretty good place to eat. Food was hot and plentiful. A little pricey. Service was very good and friendly. Restaurant was very clean and organized. Good comfort food. read more

They remodeled so the inside looks great. The food is good. However, the staff isn't so great. Waited over 10 minutes for refill with the waitress walking past multiple times and not even stopping to make sure we didn't need anything. My boyfriend had his cup where she could see it and she looked at it and never offered a refill. I understand they started preparing for shift change but they should still take care of the customers. We weren't the only ones. The table next to us had been waiting for about the same time for a refill. If they had a better staff it would be better reviewed. We don't even eat there often because of the staff. read more

This has probably been the worst experience I've ever had. Golden corral is under construction while drilling outside and major updates are happening indoors causing for a lot of dust and loud atmosphere. The staff is friendly hence the 1 star but everything else was awful. The bathrooms needed major cleaning and the water tasted like "the insides of a dishwasher." We left after tasting a couple of items and still in shock. Hoping we do not get sick. read more

It's not just a buffet. It's a trough. All you can eat and there are plenty of customers who consider this a challenge. Of course it's handicapped accessible. It's also huge fat people accessible. They should have a sofa seating section for many of the patrons. Food is average at best. If you stop here, you are most likely going for quantity. Quality is a word you either don't understand or don't care about. read more

The atmosphere is changing for the worse. Quality of food has declined, cleanliness of restaurant needs to be corrected. I sat at my table and watched people go thru stacks of plates and silverware because a lot of them were dirty. I witnessed an older couple leave after finding out the price for seniors is the same as other people. I was a little shocked. It seems that a little of the employees just don't care. read more
