Quick service in and out, food was great ! Lady at the drive thru was very nice and patient with me.

Crispy chicken and great flavor. One of my favorite places for a quick meal. Fresh food, good portions, and friendly staff. Always a satisfying experience. read more

Golden Chick - Sign - Fast Food Near Me - Dallas, Texas

I hate going to this place the people are always so fkn rude act like we are begging them to buy a fkn meal. Lazy ass people, they never have shit ready like grilled chicken because they are too lazy to cook it. read more

After waiting out front for "tenders to cook" I received the worst golden chick tenders I've ever had. They were definitely refried and hard as a rock which is highly unusual for Golden Chick. The okra was old and hard and I had to give it to my dogs. HORRIBLE. Note to management. Stop precooking your chicken to save time and provide a fresh meal. Never have I ever had food this disgusting from a golden chick. I will never visit the South Hampton location again as long as I live‼ read more

Golden Chick - Hard skin. Hard as a rock. Definitely not fresh. Re-fried‼ - Fast Food Near Me - Dallas, Texas

First time I went through drive through they got my order wrong. Second time I went back for them to fix my order I bit in to a tender; tasted something entirely disgusting. I look and seen this in my food. Will never be back. read more

Food has been great, as with the franchise in general. But this location, NEGATIVE STARS. There were 2-3 people working behind the counter and 2 saw me standing there for a long time and never even acknowledged me (or the 2 other people behind me) -- I get being busy (or understaffed even?) but just acknowledge the customer. Bonus -- a person I can only assume is an off the clock employee (in a tshirt and pj pants) chatting it up before I came had ended up walking around into the kitchen. read more

Never again! 40$ for an order of 4 3pcs chicken tenders no drink. And they got my order wrong I had to go back in there and get it corrected. Spoke to a rude lady at the front who said "I ain't hear nothing you just said" ma'am if you working the front that's not how you speak to customers. We enjoy eating golden chick but will never be returning to this establishment and if management could contact me that would be great, thank you. read more

We waited for quite a while for 2 lukewarm combo meals although there was several staff. Poor taste and quality of food, over cooked chicken and heavy seasoning so it wasn't edible. The location appeared clean but staff seemed over whelmed with no customers waiting after us. For the time we waited, would expect better food quality. There was a manager on duty that did not assist. No utensils napkins or receipt provided. There are much better establishments in the area. Staff was cordial. read more

The line was long because they were about to close and they were able to take all orders in a good amount of time. The cashier was very knowledgeable and accurate. The food was hot and fresh and they went above and beyond to make a funnel cake at the last moment. Thank you for the great service!!! read more

The food! Cold and dry. The pieces were small, almost like the strips were cut in half, but maybe the size was due to drying out. At one time this was a good place to go to. The food was not necessarily hot but at least it wasn't dry, hard and stringy. Even the French fries were cold and hard. Not sure if they are short handed on workers or what. At one time you had to wait in line to place your order...both inside and the drive through. I guess the nonexisting line should have been my clue not to bother stopping. The young man taking the order was very professional, polite and efficient. I seldom go inside so I can not really say anything about the ambiance. What I can see it is clean. There is outdoor seating but I can't comment on this either. My rating of my experience is based on the food not the young man who took the order. read more

I was very disappointed in the service. Didn't provide all items in my order and basically refused to fix. Won't ever order here again

I came here a few months ago and ordered jalapeño poppers (which are a whole extra $1) and they were burnt. However, this morning I--along with my brother and two other friends--came into the drive thru at exactly 12:45AM (this location closes at 1:00AM) and the lady told us they were closed. Now, I have worked fast food and it does suck when customers come in close to close (especially when it's a rush), but we were the only customers and I have never heard of anyone telling customers they were closed a whole 15 minutes before closing time. Yes, albeit I have had to tell customers we were closed 5 minutes before (per my managers' instructions), but NEVER an entire 15 minutes before. Especially when the food is already premade and all they have to do is add some seasoning and sauce and stick it in the bag. This is completely unprofessional and they need new management. This is not the only issue I have had with this location (they are also really slow with getting you your food; it's ridiculous). read more

Waited to get my order taken for 10 minutes, the employees looked like they've never seen a human before in their life. Just go to taco bueno if you're trying to go here, terrible service read more

The staff here is beyond unprofessional. It seems as though they make an extra effort just to ruin your experiences at their store and prevent you from coming back. They've snatched defeat from the jaws of victory just about every time I've visited, which is why I will no longer go there. I have too many options in the area to tolerate this sort of behavior. There is no kind of accountability or responsible leadership at this location. None. I once saw a manager hanging out of the window arguing with someone in front of me, and no one really cared to stop and carry on with their day. The corporate office/parent company is good at responding to negative Yelp reviews with insincere apologies, but has yet to make any changes that actually matter in their stores. Sadly, the food here is decent, as are the deals, but we need to save our money for businesses that actually appreciate us as well as our dollars. read more

So this is the only golden chick around that closes at 12 and I'm always late to food places due to work so I called stating that I would get there at exactly 12. I show up minutes after 12 hoping they'd still get me and the lady n workers were so hospitable. Said they were short on meals so I said anything spicy and got EXACTLY what I wanted freshly made ;) Definitely recommend ! read more

It's Golden Chick. Treat people good and they'll treat you better. Thanks for working everyday, guys, we know it's rough. The small interactions you have that lead to a smile makes all the difference. Oh, and my favorite thing to have here is their chicken tenders and ROLLS. Omfg. read more

Arrived to this location and no customers in parking lot or inside. Went thru drive thru and waited several minutes before someone acknowledged us. I asked for the four chicken half and half half roasted and half frie. I only had three pieces when I got home. tried to call them back and they put me on hold. I got tired of waiting so hung up the phon. Tried to call back and they taken the phone off the hook, or something, the roasted chicken was hard and dark and the fried chicken wasn't done. I will never return to Golden Chick ever again. read more

This place sucks. Or at least this location. It's bad enough you wait a long time for food, and then not receive your order. And don't bother calling they don't answer. So to have to drive back to get your order is ridiculous. If I have to wait the order shouldn't be missing anything. read more

Decided to go to Golden Chick today for the first time ever but unfortunately it will be my last time coming here. Starting off the lady taking orders through the drive thru was extremely rude with a very bad attitude. When we received our food the buns were crush like someone had punched them. The chicken was extremely bland and the batter was uncooked. The chicken was only good with ketchup and the shrimp is the only decent thing about this place but overall bad experience. If you are looking to have dinner at this place DON'T!! Canes is right down the street go there! And if you want more chicken get KFC or Popeyes bUT THIS PLACE HAS hORRIBLE FOOD AND BAD SERVICE. read more

They are continuously busy. Definitely could clean the dining and bathroom regularly, especially during Covid.

I visited this location on Friday night. Mind you all of the other chicken places, Popeyes, Williams had long lines. There was no one in the drive thru here. I went there. The chicken strips we ordered were pretty good. However, when we got the bags there was an odor. I know a lot of times they don't fully cook the rolls. I get home and didn't realize until after I ate it that the dinner rolls were green at the bottom. They should be ashamed of themselves making people pay for this crap. I totally wanted to throw up when I saw it. I forgot to take a picture, I threw them away so fast. Do better, the food is too high. read more

It's not easy to find fried catfish at a fast food place, and theirs is solid. It's not cheap, but they don't make it till you get there, so be prepared to wait a few. My kid says the chicken strips are good, and the French fries are super awesome! I wish they would give me the recipe. This store must treat their employees well, because they are always friendly and helpful. When I say always, I mean always. I have never had a bad experience here. If you are looking for restaurant level quality chicken and fish from a fast food restaurant, this is the place. I am making an addition to my review after reading the following one. I am white, and have never, ever, at this store felt like it was a problem. Without talking about this person specifically, it is my experience that you get what you give. Again, all the employees at this store have been nothing but awesome to me. If you are white and are offended by black people who don't bow down at your feet, get the out of Oak Cliff. read more

Staff attitude needs work. Please take from the handbook of chick fila..the importance of great customer service. Avoid this place at all cost unless you want to pay for a gosh awful experiance. I would give zero starts if I could. Not only did the get my order WRONG. They lied and said they would make it right. I go back the next day and the illiterate manager proceeded to talk to me as if I had a tail between my legs. If you wonder why blacks don't support black buinesses come here. If I want to be talk to with contempt I'll stick with the white man. I'm sure they would have given me side eye but they would have done the right thing and applogized for the incompetence of their staff. The girl helping me orginally could not count back my change correctly. She just give me too much money because it was easier. Golden Chic its chicken not gold. Never again read more

They have bad service here. It's all teens who are being slow. Their was a line wait for 15 minutes long. It took them 5 minutes to get the order. In the end they burned the chicken. I know they say chicken is supposed to be golden but it's more brown then golden as the name implies. read more

Twice in the same week, the Golden Chick on Camp Wisdom at Westmoreland has disappointed me. Four days ago I ordered delivery and received only half of the chicken I ordered & paid for. Yesterday, In the drive-thru I ordered a family meal of mixed chicken, paid at the first window, and at the second window I was told to pull ahead because the roasted chicken had eight (8) more minutes to cook. Twenty (20) minutes later the employee brought the meal to my car and said that they were out of breasts and substituted the wings with thighs and legs. I sent it back and asked for a refund, nearly 6 minutes later I had the return receipt in hand. With driving time, time in the drive-thru, time waiting for the food, and the refund, I wasted about one (1) hour of my time and left with nothing. read more

This was the worst golden chick I've ever been to. The staff was very rude and acted like they didn't want me there. One girl stated "why you gonna come in here just to sit down" and I felt like that was very rude of her. And the manager was just as bad as the employees read more

The initial visits in the drive through resulted in a long wait, several times being asked to pull around and wait for my order, however I really didn't mind as the fish was worth the wait. M My recent visit on 11/14 greatly changed my mind. I ordered 2 entrees: 3 pc fish w/fries AND 2 pc chicken only (WING and leg). And of course, I had to try the funnel cake everyone is raving about. My drive home usually takes 10-12 minutes. I generally enjoy the drive while munching on the tasty HOT fries. Upon arriving home, I put the entire bag in the trash!!!! I am not sure what went wrong! The fish was not fresh and the fries were cold from the beginning! The chicken (THIGH and leg) was OLD and discolored! I debated on calling, then determined it would be a waste of time, as you never know who you are speaking with, nor if the feedback is even received. I do "thank" Golden Chick for this experience, as it just reiterated what I already know. Fast food is NOT good for us at all, but I considered it to be my once a month cheat food! Not any more! Corporate/Owners, if you are reading? There definitely needs to be a quality visit for sure. As my Grannie used to say, the best lesson is a "bought" lesson! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! I'm sorry but this golden chick employees are ALWAYS RUDE!!!! And I'm not one to complain. Because I know days can be stressful in the restaurant industry because I my self work at a restaurant but never have a been disrespectful to a customer! It's so sad that they are all young girls & guys who always have a attitude!!! One time I went and ask for ranch knowing they didn't give me any and the lady said in a rude way " it's in the bag" I check and there was nothing and when I told her about it she gave a rude face! I'm sure the managers also don't care because the attitude of people here never changes! They are always rude. read more

Pathetic!!!!! Waited over 15 minutes just for every one who ordered after me to get their food before me. We literally asked them THREE times what was taking them so damn long! This has never happened to me at any other fast food place. read more

So I'm here as I type this 10/16/19 10:10am I am only writing this because I can't believe how they really hire anyone here I just got the worst customer service , so I know they open 10am I pull up and no one responds so I'm like okay I'll be patient they're probably not ready yet cool whatever 5minutes go by and no one has responded back so I pull up to the first window and a young gentleman points to the next window so I go over there and there's no one there I wait like 2 minutes and then someone approaches a young black lady and she greets me and I tell her hey I tried to order but no one answered and she smacked her lips in a really sarcastic way and said " yeah that's true" and I said okay well can I place order here then and her body language was just so rude and to answer my question she said "well yeah you're already here at the window" like in such a sarcastic tone trying to make me feel dumb I've been waiting here for my food and had time to write the review because they are taking forever . The place just opened up and I'm probably their first customer how is it possible for someone to be this rude already ??? At the very least she could've apologized for keeping me waiting but she didn't do anything at all I have worked in customer service for over two years and I don't understand how this young lady doesn't know how to at least apologize out of common courtesy for keeping the customer waiting i usually come and buy my food here but after today I don't think I will ever come back The management there or whoever is in charge should really talk to their employees about treating the customer right and not giving them silly body postures and making faces with a whole lot of attitude read more
