Drive thru order and we didn't get 1/2 of our order. Door says it is open till 10 pm; it was 9:15- door locked. Drove through- and the tacos were not wrapped so when we drove away and tried to eat, spilled all over. My beef nacho salad was not in the bag. So for the most part. I usually don't like to make a bad review on establishments unless it's regarding the customer service or lack of there of . However in this case the customer service was amazing but the food was terrible, and I mean the worse. After a long day of work, I just wasn't up to cooking anything at all so I instead yelp searched "Taco Tuesday near me", taco bueno was at the top of the list , with a decent amount of stars under it . So I headed there immediately after work. The line was lengthy but no overwhelming wait, so that encouraged me to stay in line. Maybe it's what I ordered?? Trying to be cheap. I ordered about $25 worth of the dollar menu items. At the window I requested a ton of hot sauce and even told them that I didn't mind paying for the extras but that myself and my family loves hot sauce. With no charge I was given a ton of hot sauces, which we later discovered that It was extremely watery , bland and simply just nasty . My oldest daughter stated that that's Probably why they willingly gave so much without a charge. Now Back to the food, the food lacked seasoning. Like not even a sprinkle of salt or pepper was on any of the food . It was super bland and just all together felt and tasted awful "CHEAP", in this particular case I got exactly what i paid for. I went there trying to be cost effective and make my little money spread, and end up regretting not going to the grocery store and making tacos myself or even going to Taco Bell. I hope this review doesn't offend anyone; including the workers, owners, or others that may have a different perspective of this restaurant. But for me and my family, personally there was nothing at all "bueno"(good), about anything that I received from there . But again, customer service was really good. read more

I love this older building for one thing. Recently remodeled, it's big with lots of comfy booths and space and separation between diners. Always clean, the awesome salsa and topping bar is away from the ordering counter and that traffic, too. I enjoy coming here over Taco Bell for the straightforward Tex-Mex and the fresh salsa with onions, pico de gallo and jalapenos over at the bar. The service is fast, friendly and flexible. Taco Bueno FIX THESE RESTROOMS IMMEDIATE! We hadn't been to this Taco Bueno in some time but need my husband and I needed to use the restroom and this was the closest. There were men outside painting so we asked if the restaurant was closed, they said no so we went in. It was embarrassingly horrible. For both the men and women's, there's only one stall, with no toilet seat. No tissue or seat covers. Thank goodness there was at least a paper towel dispenser, hot water and soap. My Sister and I had a big burrito. The service was excellent and the food delicious and fresh. We were served quickly and when asked for extra sauce she never skipped a beat. Now that is great customer service. There are many fast food mexican restaurants to eat at but, I will be returning to Taco Bueno when my craving hit. This place has the worst tacos I ever ate. They give you a scoop of ground beef in a big taco shell. Taco salads should have meat not just a bunch of lettuce. The ground meat was very dry. No friendly service. And the meat was cold.. read more

I ordered from this restaurant thru Uber eats. We only chose this restaurant because it was open late on a rainy night and no one wanted to go out. That was mistake #1. I specified what I did/did not want in each menu item. I even took screen shots of the order. The food still came messed up. That was mistake #2. I had one person I ordered for who was allergic to dairy and we had requested no sour cream. Well, there was double the sour cream in her food. Mistake #3. The dessert was good but ice cold. Mistake #4 I ordered the drinks without ice. They came loaded with ice. Mistake #5 My taco was good and tasty, but only half of the meat was seasoned...I don't even know how that could have happened, as if they mixed two different meats together WHILE placing the meat in the taco shell. That was Mistake #6, which was the last straw for me. I finally contacted Uber eats with my screenshots of the order and got my money back. I definitely won't eat from here again :( read more

Taco Bueno is a great place to go when you want a cheap restaurant that has acceptable Tex Mex. I enjoy my experience enough to come back whenever I'm in the area. If you aren't feeling too hungry just order some party tacos for $1.09 or a Party Burrito. The sauce bar is usually fully stocked and the drink bar is easily accessible as opposed to having to go ask them for drinks every time you are empty. The restaurant is clean and I've never seen it messy in here. Good experience. 8 times out of 10 would come back to have tacos on a Tuesday. read more

I am taking COVID into consideration. I went here on Thursday, July 30. We went inside to place an order based on coupon / sales sent via mail. It took awhile before someone acknowledged we were there. One man was eating there. The cashier came up and I tried to order with the coupons that came out on Tuesday. She screamed at me that she cannot do that, I said excuse me because I didn't understand what she couldn't do. She said those tacos couldn't be ordered till next week. Sale sheet didn't say that. I had coupons and she screamed about those, she was so angry she pulled the mask away & screamed at me. I told her to give me my coupon back & walked out because I didn't know what her problem was. Please train employees to be patient & nicer during this pandemic. I will not give my money to someone yelling at me. That is all. read more

Bueno, No. Bueno. No mas. I am no stranger to Tex-Mex fast food chain. In fact I kind a like Taco bell and Del taco's even Taco time in west coast. So my husband and I wanted to give Bueno Taco a shot thinking that it's probably like other Tex-Mex fast food place. Well I was kind of disappointed. There's nothing special about this place. The menu, flavor, price. all mid-die Yorker. So next time we want some fast tex-mex fix, we won't be saying Bueno. We'll be hitting straight to Taco Bell. read more

Really enjoy the food and menu choice.

This Taco Bueno used to be pretty good. About 3-4 months ago, they had a total turn-over of staff--spring of 2018. Now they make tons of mistakes, mess up the food, and spill half the queso off the platter. Watch out for the new platters--if the lid isn't on tight, your food will end up in the bag! I do love the black beans, new menu item; and the pico de gallo, if it doesn't have too much jalapeno pepper in it! Now we go to the Cedar Hill store most of the time. They messed up my order tonight for chicken nachos, and gave me ground beef. read more

From party burritos to Bueno burritos to mexi dip and chips to tacos or muchacos, this is my go to place and particularly this location since it is the closest one to my house. Eat at this TB about once a week. Always friendly staff & like that they give 10% discount to 50+ folks. Had their new Fajita platter today. I got chicken. Was really good. Makings for 3 good sized fajitas + rice & beans. Enough for 2 meals unless you are really, really starving. Even w/medium drink & $1 off coupon + Sr. discount it was $7.47. Lot's cheaper than traditional Mexican food restaurant & except for lack of sizzling platter, every bit as good. Will definitely order again. read more
