We didn't have the costume in hand, but we still decided to stop by to see what ideas we could change our family matching costumes this year when we arrived, we walked around the store three times. I could tell the workers were giving us rude stares once my daughter and I agreed on a theme we left the store to go home to pick up her costume to exchange. Once we returned to the store, the girl at the cash register started giving me attitude and told me she had to call her manager back to see if they could exchange my purchase. When her manager came down, she started giving me more attitude, saying she couldn't exchange my purchase for something else because the items I was returning the store was missing plenty of inventory on the same things and how they would get flagged and in trouble if they exchanged my items. I feel instead of pointing fingers at random people, they should be more on top of inventory so innocent customers don't have to pay the price for bad customer service. Also, if you hate your job, find a job that makes you happy instead of being bitter & rude to people you don't know.

The older gentleman was busy with another customer (but we made eye contact so I knew he at least acknowledged my presence). The gentleman in the blue was in the middle and right in front of me. He looked at me and turned back around so I assumed he was a customer waiting for assistance. As soon as the older gentleman was done helping the other customer, a couple walks up to the stand and he completely walks past me to help them . Feeling dismissed, I left momentarily but returned to take a photo. As soon as they saw me again they whispered something to each other and turned their backs to me. It became evident that the man in the blue shirt was also part of the booth staff, and their reluctance to engage with me made it clear they didn't value my business. As a person of color it's very disheartening to encounter such petty behavior in 2024.
