I purchased a fairly sophisticated alarm system from Mitchell over two years ago. I initially…read morereached out to him because I wanted more than the "2 doors and 1 motion detector" intro package offered by the national chains. Mitchell came to my home and we spent hours designing a system including not only all of the typical stuff such as door and window sensors and motion detectors, but also glass break monitors and water alarms for the laundry room and sump pump areas. Mitchell did not "sell" any of this stuff to me. I asked for it and we designed an excellent system together. The reason that I am writing the review today is because this is the first time that I have spoken to Mitchell in over two years. I received an alert on my control pad that a battery was low and I didn't know which device needed the new battery. I called Mitchell on his cell phone. He picked up on the second ring. I had the battery in a drawer and he identified the device and walked me through the battery change over the phone. This tells you a couple of things: 1. The equipment that Mitchell sold to me over 2 years ago works without issue. I literally have had not spoken to him in over 2 years because I have NEVER had a problem. My big problem today was that I needed a new battery. I'm OK with that. 2. Mitchell answers his phone. He is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. Mitchell is a good guy. He knows what he is doing and he sells good stuff. I recommend him without hesitation.

He suggested we troubleshoot over the phone before sending a technician to my house. Since the equipment is old, he had to send a technician after all. While I was waiting for the technician to arrive, I fiddled with the settings and ended up resolving the issue on my own. What really stood out to me was the honesty--both Mitchell and the technician could have easily said I needed new equipment or upgrade or unnecessary work, but instead they were supportive and completely upfront. Very fair, trustworthy, and refreshing to deal with a company that operates with integrity. Highly recommend for your security needs!

The process went like this: 1) Very clear initial communication. Kevin made sure that everything would be ready to go when he arrived to do the job so that he is not wasting his or your time and money. 2) Was not sure what to get but Kevin provided a clear shopping list of materials needed that were easy to procure... I believe the only thing I did have to begin with was the projector which we bought before contacting him. 3) Day of install Kevin showed up and worked quickly and efficiently (with great vibe too!), to get everything done. Was impressed with how clean he was able to make everything look because we had to run some cables for audio etc... over a pretty significant amount of wall space. Was definitely happy to have hired Kevin for the job because the resulting setup worked and looked great. If I had attempted to do this myself I'm sure it would have been a mess. Security Camera NY was the first company to contact me on my latest quest (I've been researching…read morefor 4 months) for a security camera installation. Grace (who answered the phone) was very knowledgeable about what I wanted and arranged an appointment at my convenience. Avner came to survey the areas I wanted for camera installation. He answered all my questions in a professional and experienced manner. He described what options I had in terms of wiring and recommended the best area(s) to place the security monitor. Avner was also the first person who provided a quick written estimate that included the brand name of the merchandise he was planning to use. Grace called later to inquire if I had any more questions about the installation. The price quoted was affordable and within the range I had been quoted by other companies. Based on the quality of customer service I had received thus far, I hired them to complete the job. Avner and Hugo exceeded my expectations on the day of service. Hugo worked tirelessly all day to install the required wiring and cameras. It was very important to me that the wires would not be all over the place as I had seen on many security cameras' websites. Hugo DID NOT disappoint. He surveyed the areas where the cameras were to be placed, and contemplated the best way to install them with a minimal use of wires and be inconspicuous. Avner connected the monitor to the DVR and explained its use in layman's terms. Hugo was very accommodating and would not leave until we were 100 % satisfied with the installation. Moreover, the cameras that were installed provided a clear crisp picture. I find the Security Camera NY was very efficient and thorough from the initial contact to the completion of the job. A year's warranty on labor and parts, free training and support is included in the price. The installation includes a connection to Internet they may be remotely viewed from any PC and any smartphone. I would strongly recommend you hire them. You can't do any better than Security Camera NY.

Selecting a vendor for specialized work is always anxiety-ridden. I contacted Lock & Tech regarding…read morean electrical matter in my home; the circuits kept tripping whenever we used appliances simultaneously in the kitchen- like the toaster oven and dishwasher. This was inconvenient, but frustrating because a few years ago I had the electricity system upgraded with dedicated lines for the air conditioners. The price quote was what everyone else mentions in their reviews- not cheap at over $200/hour, but what seems to be market rate. Everyone likes to save a few bucks, but typically you get what you pay for and cutting corners may leave you without recourse if something doesn't go right. In any case, the technician, Tomer, arrived on time. I knew he was great because my cat loved him and followed him around the house. He assessed the problem and explained the plan of action. There was no pressure to proceed, and I was looking at over $1000 worth of work. He also fixed a pull chain on a ceiling fan. The cost was over $200 for less than 1 hour work, but they did not nickel& dime me over the cost for materials to fux the fan, which I estimated to be fair. It turned out I was right: The air conditioner was plugged into the wrong outlet, the dedicated line hiding behind a desk. Tomer called and told me about this. He offered to proceed anyway should I wish, but didn't feel it was be necessary. His due diligence and honesty saved me a few hundred dollars. The subsequent over payment of the deposit was promptly refunded within a few days. This company is customer-oriented and provide exceptional service. Sure, you could use joe from the supermarket flyer and save a few dollars, but reliability, expertise, and good service are worth the extra cost.
