I'll start off with a positive - the service was great. The two ladies we interacted with were sweet and helpful. But sadly, while on the search for good Chinese food near our new neighborhood, and after reading pretty good reviews here on Yelp, we were sorely disappointed on the food. We each got a combo meal so we could try out some different dishes, and both of us agreed that it was pretty bad. The portions were surprisingly small, to start off with, but then when we dug in ... well, I'm sad to say it's probably one of the worst Chinese food meals we've had. The spring roll was really greasy, the chow mein was very tasteless and the sweet & sour chicken and pork were both nearly all batter and just not good. I don't often leave bad reviews, but I felt like I needed to say something since I care about accurate reviews. Maybe it was a bad night. Maybe it was a new cook. I'll give them that. Ordered by phone for pick up. Very friendly. Fast it was ready when we got there about 15 min. Ordered family meal for 2 spicy. Spring rolls were fantastic with flavor, ginger garlic ect... bbq pork was good, wontons were crispy and fresh. Kung pao was good, beef was delicious. Good fried rice. I ordered side of fried shrimp it was really good. The oil was fresh. We asked for extra red sauce and they did not disappoint. We will go back here. read more

The worst Chinese food I've ever had! Food was not hot!! Food was very underwhelming and unseasoned. The fried shrimp and sweet and sour chicken were over breaded and tough! The beef and broccoli didn't taste fresh and the sauce after it cooled became gelatinous. Now onto the Popo Platter which is appropriately named to say the least...at 14.95 you get 2 greasy small egg rolls , 2 shrimp, 2 unrecognizable small foil wrapped dry pieces of meat and 4 thin tough pieces of BBQ pork, 2 thin cut tough beef skewers and 3 over fried wontons with no filling. The fried rice had no flavor either and to seal the deal of a horrible eating experience the combo platters don't come with a cup of soup. Avoid at all costs unless you really enjoy bringing supremely disappointed. My recommendation would be to drive to Oregon City to Golden Taste by the Grocery Outlet. This was my first time here. I noted the poor Yelp review a mere 20 minutes before my arrival on a "to go" order. Hey, I was hungry and jonesing for Chinese. Heck I have survived Army C Rations. So I went for it. I guage my Chinese restaurants by their hot & sour soup which I love! I figure if it's great the rest of the meal will be as well. Since when is h&s soup an almost clear light tan color? I had to add pepper and soy sauce to give it taste! It was also lukewarm. It was neither hot or sour. For the main course I had "Pork Lo Mein" with vegetables. Once again the flavor was lacking like senior home food (I'm now a senior and can say that) and lukewarm. At my request the waitress brought me hot chili oil. That with soy helped a bit. The small pieces of pork were light gray and appeared to have been boiled or steamed. Probably just waved over the wok. The vegetables consisted of a few al dente celery pieces and even fewer over cooked onions. There was one (no kidding) small piece piece of carrot which probably came from the previous order. A previous review noted how clean it was. It's not difficult to keep a restaurant clean WHEN YOU HAVE NO CUSTOMERS! I have been here for over 90 minutes, including time in car typing this. Saw one couple before and another after plus a man who came in then left immediatly. Don't believe I will be back. Too many good Chinese places closer to my home. read more

The food was okay tbh the sesame chicken was moist but it lacked some flavor. The fried rice was good just didn't like the pork it didn't have flavor. This is probably the cleanest Chinese food restaurant I've ever seen. This is tucked in at a small shopping complex near O'Reilly Auto Parts store. It's east of Highway 99 E. The server's/Ladies were friendly and quick to the table to take our drink orders. I used to go to Happy's to get Chinese but they were closed permanently. Gave this place a try and it's all right. The egg foo young was quite different what I'm used to. The chicken fried rice was not like Happy's. The Golden Dragon is at the rear of the strip mall and not visible from HWY 99E. This was our first visit. The first impression was that the restaurant is probably the cleanest restaurant we've ever been in. The service, the food, the menu were great. The prices are equal to 2022 restaurant costs all over Oregon. I have seen posts that complain about the food being bland. Most of the dishes appear to be Cantonese which isn't as spicy as dishes from other regions of China. I did add some soy sauce to the pork fried rice to give it a bit more taste. We have been coming here for years, the restaurant is clean, excellent lighting from lots of widowns and cheerful. The staff is always friendly & helpful. I think it's the best Chinese food for miles around & I have been to pretty much all of them. I always order the same thing, C5, which is pork fried rice, chicken lo mien, won ton, & I get the sweet & sour chicken instead of the sweet & sour pork, no extra charge. The portions are large, food is tasty and atmosphere is relaxing. The lounge is stinky, seedy, and tends to detract from the overall atmosphere of this location. The restaurant has always had a nice, clean appearance, and very family oriented. Canby brings their families here. They have lovely chinese artwork of goldfish and sailboats on their walls. The color palete is pastels and calming. The waiters/waitresses here have always served us well and over time gotten to know our family. Their warmth was always inviting when we slid into the booths on a cold Canby night. They were always smiling and catching up with us on how we were doing in life. I always appreciated the family feel. The food has been consistantly well on prices, large quantities, and good quality over the span of the fifteen years I've been there. We were extremely disappointed. We were the only ones there for the first 10 mins. then 2 other tables came in and were seated. Our waitress waited on the other two before us. As she was going by us to put their order in I loudly asked if she could take our order too. She then came and took our food order. When our food came it was as disappointing as the service. A friend heard that I was going to Canby and I was texted "Behind the bowling alley, Chinese". "What?" "Chinese food. The best" So, I looked for the bowling alley when I got there and searched behind it, but couldn't find the restaurant. Then I looked at the marquee and saw "Golden Dragon". I drove through the whole parking lot until I found it ....the very back building on the south part of the lot. It wasn't particularly filled and on this hot day I was relieved to have a pleasantly cool building with not a lot of noise and rushing. I ordered off the lunch menu, since I was at the last of the lunch hours, and chose 'beef brocolli/fried rice/fried wontons'. It came amazingly fast...hot, fresh and ever so tasty. The veggies were fresh, not frozen, which is always more appealing and welcomed. The sauce was just perfect with the right amount of savory sweetness. The wontons were huge and added the right kind of texture to this meal. It was an enormous serving, too, for extra hungry eaters. I then ordered 3 more lunches to go for my family, since the prices were more than reasonable for the qualtiy. I ordered "kung pao chicken", "beef brocolli" and "sweet and sour chicken". All very good, with the beef brocolli remaining as the favorite. Nice people, nice time, great and fast service and I fed 4 for around $20. read more

Don't waste your time or money. Panda express is much better. My husband and I went last Saturday for the first time. There were 4 other tables of two there when we got there at 6:30. When we left an hour later we were the only people there except the cooks and servers who had their own table. I didn't see any to go orders going out the door either. We both ordered combination plates. My broccoli and beef was awful! Broccoli overcooked and all was smothered in brown gravy. Sweet & sour chicken was soggy and lacked flavor. We ordered Orange chicken which used the same sauce that was used for the fried wontons and brought to us as a dip for the fried shrimp.
